Le point fort du Renoir est de proposer les films étrangers en version originale pour toutes ses séances. Son emplacement stratégique, sur le Cours Mirabeau, permet de discuter du film à sa sortie, en terrasse d'un des nombreux cafés du cours.

Hallelujah, movies in O. V. ( original spoken!!) An no popcorn chewing people or youngsters who talk through the whole movie. Lights are off untill the last name was on the screen. So you have time to wipe your tears off & get yourself together . ( I saw 12 years a slave...) Then I bumped into lovely pin up girls and boys who threw a party in the cinema bar. Cool , trés cool!

Have to admit,…read morethe place is a bit run down (rip seats, worn carpets, and the like) but they apparently specialize in "indie" films and Original Language (VO) releases, which is good news for American ex-pats who are all over the immersion thing, but at some point, want to know what the film is actually about! Nicely situation near the pedestrian mall and the port, this is a good outing for date night, when you simply want to see a movie like you want to see it. The place isn't quite up to the "French Cinema Standard," for for my money, it's money (and time) well spent!
