This auditorium, as a music hall, makes huge claims for itself. The latest I heard within grounds…read moreand through their PA is that, Auditorio Telmex is the best in the Americas. Now, both visibility and acoustics are pretty darn good but, I certainly would not push the envelop beyond "World Class".
The building is fantastic but, it feels as though the architect was trying to make a statement as modern landmark but it certainly falls extremely short. The Music Hall is big and it does pull about the same listening experience about anywhere.
Being a "recent" addition and with a considerable high budget at the time of construction, they should have try to make the removable chairs part of the floor instead of using portable benches which are very wobbly.
