First off the bar is not a circle. It's an oval. Secondly, this is a great place to go if you like to people watch; especially if you like to make fun of the people you're watching. I was dragged here by my roommate who was going to meet her guy and his friends. This is a fabulous place to people watch. I even had a guy tell me, "I have a queen sized bed that's lonely, want to come home with me?" to which I replied, "I have a full sized bed and I don't mind it empty, I'm good but thanks." Lots of Karaoke going on. The DJ even thanked an army guy on the mic for his service and then said, "Semper Fi!" Ummmm...That's the Marines, buddy. Went outside with friends while they smoked and another guy came out to smoke...Then this girl said, "Who the f&%$ are you?? Why are you out here?! Do you know anyone out here?!" The staff are really good and attentive. On the other hand the crowd is straight from the depths of a trailer park. The best place in town for people watching and observing the finest of society. If you think Chinese people singing karaoke is great and comical, wait until you listen to random people sing at this bar. (Like Barry Manilow meets Lou Reed.) read more

Ah, the charm of the circle bar! Was at a memorial day BBQ party that the cops decided was too loud, so we took our party to the circle bar. They were welcoming with cheap drinks, decent karaoke selections, and of course, as previously mentioned, the people watching. I think I missed some of the characters mentioned in previous reviews, but none the less, quite a few "standouts" in the crowd. Great diversion for the night. Can't say I really needed the shots at the end of the evening, but overall, I would come back should I happen to be around! read more

I love Circle Bar because they have karaoke seven nights a week and it's a casual atmosphere that somewhat reminds me of Cheers, where everybody knows your name... I don't give a crap whether the bar is oval or circle. Yes, it is fun to people watch there but Adam F was a bit harsh. Terry, the owner, and his wife, as well as the bartenders including Laura and Lori are very friendly and Circle Bar seems to appreciate and showcase good music and talent. If you don't appreciate a casual, relaxed, but fun atmosphere like Circle Bar, then perhaps you should take your snobby ass over to Midland St. read more

I walked into the Circle bar with my daughter (who is four years old) at 12:00pm today because she was hungry and I was told by the owner Terry that there is no kids allowed so then I took my daughter out to the car with my husband and I went back in and I asked where the menu is Terry then snaps right there on the wall as I went to the wall to grab a menu he then shouts out to me that he is not open yet... what I don't get is if he is not open why is the doors prop open and were there people sitting at the bar drinking and eating but they weren't open? ugh!! I will never go there again! I will never send my worst enemy there either!!!! read more
