Visit after visit, year after year, this place is still the best Greek spot in town. Also up there…read morefor best lunch spot, period. I got my usual gyro platter; about $15. Sounds pricey but my wife and I spit it and still had some leftovers. Also, this might seem a bit off topic but this place has some of the best fries. Great seasoning. My platter came with a generous portion of gyro meat, and the side salad was nicely prepared. If you haven't tried this place and you like a good gyro, drop by, you won't be disappointed.

As it was summer break, a lot of the other businesses in the building were closed (Vietnamese and Italian restaurant as well as a boba place). The place looks like it was being run by a hardworking couple. We checked out the menu and my wife ordered the Gyro Platter and I ordered the Souvlaki Platter. We also ordered a couple of fountain drinks. The gyro meat was well seasoned and tender. The Greek salad was quite good. The chicken souvlaki, however, seemed to lack flavor and a bit dry. Portions were quite generous and the value was there. We actually packed our leftovers for some quesadillas later. If we do go back, I would order the gyro instead of the chicken souvlaki. NOTE: They don't validate parking which was $3 for an hour

Remember, Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill - Not Just Chicken! During this visit, I went for the specials (not on the regular menu). You've got to check the written board. I got: Tostones Rellenos: Green plantains, stuffed with chicken and cheese, then drizzled in avocado sauce. Every bite was packed. Churrasco Bowl: similar to the carne asada/steak bowl but upgraded with fresh chimichurri sauce and sided with Latin white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. This is their second location of Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill in Gainesville--this one's over on Archer Road. It's a line-order style setup, and then you grab a booth while they bring the food out. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect the first time I walked in. I was hesitant. The staff were cool--friendly, smiling, and the service was quick. The location is clean, comfy, and bright.

Hearing that Los Pollos opened up a second location here, I decided to drop by and check it out. I really really hope they endure because the food here is just as good as the original location. The much larger space means you can come with a bigger group. Service was fast and efficient. I got the Lomo Saltaldo and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Good portion or rice and a substantial portion of beef and French fries, all tossed in a rich sauce. So if you're driving past this restaurant, drop by and give them a try. Support local and help them succeed :)

Los Pollos Rotisserie & Grill - This is the combination number one. Comes with a quarter chicken, three ribs, two sides and a drink.

First off, let me just say that I was absolutely DRAWN here by the smell of the burgers cooking…read morewhile I was vacuuming out my car at the carwash practically next door! It's kind of deceptive at the street, you'll see their name on the sign out front, but there's nothing telling you to drive BETWEEN Chipotle and the weed dispensary towards the back and beat to your right. RELISH is at the end, but there's TONS of parking and I appreciate that. Went inside and since I'd never been there before, I thought one of the women that were there would at least help me out, but the one young girl must've been on her way out the door because she was asking me if I was ordering chicken...I was confused. I said no, but then she asked me if I was picking up an order and I answered no to this as well...and then said I hadn't even ordered yet. Took me repeating this twice for her to understand me. I get it. It's small, lots of sizzling sounds and fryer sounds and then there's music playing ( I'm assuming) as well...all this makes it a little hard to hear. Finally placed my order. I got a double patty cheeseburger. Onion rings. And so the short wait began...one of the fellas at the grill asked me what I wanted on my burger...you choose exactly what sauces or lack thereof you want! Done right in front of you so you can ask for more or less...garlic aoli? Wow! Who knew? I'm missing BurgerFi less right about now! If you want grilled mushrooms or grilled onions or if you want them raw or bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, different cheeses, jalapeños, (bacon is extra though as is a fried egg), banana peppers, just like a subway! I'm a mayo and A1 lover with lots of pickles and one tomato...but decided to try it with the GRILLED onions. I'm getting that again! Absolutely fantastic and done EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I have to say that their pickles are superb because of the crunch factor. So many places will give you pickles and they're little scrawny floppy excuses for a pickle. Also, you go somewhere else and you get a double because their patties are so thin...NOT HERE! You get what you pay for. Tomato slices? Not paper thin like the other places...not barely there. Nice thick juicy slices! I have to mention their buns. I would be remiss if I passed by this topic and didn't touch on it. I don't know where they buy them from or if they make them, but they are absolutely superb. Soft and tender to the bite, but hold up so well and don't fall apart. I like that. Like a cornmeal dusting on top too. Old fashioned but so so good. Just not enough bun to burger ratio. Way too much burger -- and I never thought I'd ever say that! The fellas were so nice, cooked my food to perfection and I can't say I have not the slightest complaint about anything regarding this restaurant. Decent amount of food for the money compared to other places and the quality is definitely there. Worth every penny in my opinion. This place has just now moved into my favorite spot that was left vacated when they took away my BurgerFi. And if you haven't tried them...YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

The fact that they use dark meat (chicken thighs) to make the tenders gives them a unique taste that I prefer to any other chicken place that I've tried. I love the selection of sauces here as well BUT you do have to pay for additional sauces so there's that. Their fries are perfectly seasoned and the toast isn't too salty. I like the wrap as well. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the food or service (the employees are always nice). My biggest pain point is parking. It's by the university so of course parking is terrible and hard to find. It's the only thing that keeps us from eating here at least once a week.

I went with a friend to get dinner one weeknight, well before their closing hours, but as we were ordering, the staff was starting to clean the tables inside and stack the chairs. By the time we got our orders, we got the sense we were being shuffled out the door, so we took our food back home to eat. Huey's offers tenders and tender bites, chicken sandwiches and wraps, and salads. The chicken strips in the meal I ordered were on the thin side but fairly crispy. The crinkle cut fries were average but soggy by the time we got home. The Texas toast could have had more butter/seasoning on it, because it tasted like just a piece of grilled bread. Overall, I was expecting a bit more but I'm not sure I'll go back to give it another chance.
