Hostess chips with WWF wrestler stickers inside and large glass bottles of Pepsi and Jolt that we could return later for a refund. I am now in my 30's and while I no longer live in the area I still come back every now and then. The family owned and run store is the best, and the people are friendly . When I was 10 I tripped over a curb infront of the store and hit my head splitting it open. The owner came out and took me inside and held a towel on my head until I was taken to the hospital. Generally caring people that have been in the community for a long time. While the area has changed a lot and the people in the area are not the same this store and the owners have not changed.

I used to have a Hasty Market a block away from where I used to live in the Beaches. It went away at least a decade or so ago. I decided to relive my teens by dropping by this store and checking it out. I said hi to the man at the counter. He was the only person working on Saturday afternoon and seemed pleasant. My original thought was to find a breakfast sandwich to consume the following day, but I didn't see anything. The sandwich section was slim pickings. I did enjoy looking at the beverages. It carries Slush Puppies, which made me smile. Blueberry, cherry, and cream soda were the flavour options. I felt like a drink. I spotted a can of Diet Orange Crush in the fridge. Perfect! This store has an extensive ramen section. It was as if someone knew that I was dropping by. Naturally, it's cheaper to get ramen at a major grocery store. However, if you are a local who just can't get to one, heading over here is not a bad idea. I paid for my drink with cash. It came up to $1.25. That's not bad. There is parking. It is limited given how small this plaza is. I'm glad that I visited. I'd like to try the cream soda Slush Puppie the next time I'm here. (78)

Needed to get some emergency toiletries and thankfully Market Commons was well equipped with all the essentials. Plus the delicious snacks and drinks you can expect. What surprised me was how clean and organized it was, which I don't normally expect from convenience stores. And, the owner was super nice! Will make making frequent visits, I'm sure.

While they don't have a massive selection like some shops, their Chapman's ice cream is always fresh and delicious. They have hard and soft options, and the typical waffle cones, regular cones, and bowls. What sets Udderly Kool apart is their "Sample Scoop". When you purchase your ice-cream you are given a sample scoop for free. And this is no tiny nibble of ice cream, it's the full scoop! So when I went this past weekend, I got the chocolate fudge brownie flavour with a sample scoop of the salted caramel on top. Both selections were fantastic, but for a single scoop, I got pretty much enough ice cream to fill a half pint! Their scoops go a long way so you always feel like you are getting your moneys worth! Come with an appetite! In addition to ice cream, this spot is also located next to a fry shack and an arcade for the kiddies. Udderly also sells pop, chips, candy, and some convenience items. If I could give a 0 star rating I would, this place does not deserve any business. They are given…read morethe power by the City of Kitchener to give parking tickets to people parked in front of their store or on the store property, even if they are customer, parking infractions. They are abusing their power and the City of Kitchener will not do anything about it. For example, if you are a customer and bought something there but leave your car there to go across the road to the washroom, they have the right to ticket you because you've left your car on their property but you are not there. (This was told to me as an example by the by-law person on the phone when I questioned them about it) If you go on Google reviews for this place, you can see other people's reviews about the same issue.
