I thought that I'd live a little and drop by. I had a coupon that I needed to use. It was for Rockstar energy drinks. I needed to buy one to get another for free. There were more parking spots in front of this store than the other Circle K stores that I have frequented so far. I backed into a spot and walked in. I will say that customers here are polite. The man held the door for me when I walked in. I left this store and a woman held the door for me to go through it after I had swung it wide open carrying my drinks. It was straightforward getting to the beverages. There are a ton of energy drinks here. I found an entire row of Rockstar beverages. I like that there were sugar-free varieties. I got the fruit punch and silver ice. The man behind the counter was friendly. I find that every person that I have dealt with at Circle K has been nice. I scanned my coupon and it worked well. I find that enlarging it works best on my phone for a successful scan. I scanned my PC Optimum card next, followed by tapping my debit card to pay. All was great. I wished the man a great night and he reciprocated. I had the Rockstar silver ice tonight. I enjoyed it. It explains why I'm writing reviews at this hour, which I normally don't do! On the southeast corner of Major Mac and Donald Cousens Parkway is this Pioneer gas station. A tidbit of information: Donald Cousens was the former Mayor of Markham. He held that position from 1994 till 2006. My parents liked him. I did, too, although I caught the beginning and end of his mayoral tenure. Naming this parkway after him was a nice touch. The gas price was cheaper than the posted price at a nearby Esso station by four cents a litre. I frequent the Circle K there. I immediately made a left turn to fill my car's gas tank here. There were a few customers pumping gas. I found an available gas pump. The problem was that I couldn't pay for gas at the pump. It was the case with all pumps that day. Luckily, the option to pay inside the store was available, so I did just that. I was at pump 8. When I was done, I walked into the convenience store. It's huge. It was nice to browse a bit before paying. There's a mini Country Style area. You can get coffee, slushies, hot chocolate, and more. There was a sign that said donuts, but I didn't see any in the display case. I love crullers from Country Style. Sadly, I didn't see any in the display case. I got a helpful man at the payment area. I said that I had gas to pay for at pump 8. I got my Journie barcode scanned for the first time. Husky got bought out by Journie at least a year ago, so I got my Husky rewards transferred over to Journie. I then paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked the man after he gave me my receipt. I headed to my car and continued my drive home. If you want cheap gas in the northeastern part of Markham, come here. It was an unexpected, pleasant find. I recommend signing up for Journie points, so you can get discounts on future gas, convenience store purchases, and more. (229)

Is this how the free market works?? Yesterday way passed midnight when all the other gas stations had their prices at 108.9 and they still keeping theirs at 99.9?! That's just so amazing. New gas stations with new pumps and love their paypass options right at the pumps. A quick tap 1 second later, I am ready to put in my gas. It was cold yesterday! It includes 12 passenger vehicle pump stations as well as a separate commercial cardlock station for larger vehicles. This 24 hour fuel station includes a Country Style kiosk as well as an LCBO convenience outlet. Not sure how I feel about having such easy access to alcohol and spirits at a gas station but it wouldn't be the first one I've seen in rural Ontario. There is a large lot where a commercial vehicles can park and truck drivers can take a break.

I visited two locations close to where I live. Both only accepted cash. If you know me well, I rarely have cash on me, especially during the pandemic. I'm all plastic cards. I remembered this Esso station that I pass by often heading to and from Stouffville. I decided to try my plastic card luck up there. The place had steady business. I had no problem finding a gas pump and pulled up next to it. I have frequented the Circle K a couple of times that's a part of this Esso. Staff have always been super nice to me. The area around the gas pump was clean. I rarely fill up at Esso. You have the option of either entering your PC Optimum card on the screen or swiping your card. It's funny, but I don't know my PC Optimum card off the top of my head. I can rattle off some card numbers, such as Air Miles, Aeroplan, and my 16-digit RBC client number. I oddly don't know what my PC Optimum card number is. I'll need to work on that. I had no problem using my PC Optimum and credit cards at the pump. It was a smooth transaction with an equally smooth gas fill-up. I thank Esso for not having an issue with its credit and debit cards. I had a terrific experience and relieved that I didn't need to visit more gas stations that night! (381)

Today: 124.9(reg) vs 129.5 in the GTA. Also Supreme gas (91 octane) is only 13 cents more than regular, and on Thursdays it's only 10 cents more. Great value if you live in the area. Only annoying this is these pumps don't seem to like my card, forcing me to pay inside. And it can sometimes be busy.. But other than that, all good!
