Very bad customer service. The staff was rude and exceptionally unorganised. Made us wait for two hours and had no clue when the Photoshoot will take place. We ended up walking out with no shoot and a very bad day. Please DO NOT GO here.. It's the worst experience I have had so far.. read more

Day light robbery!! Unless you want poor quality pictures, to be rushed through viewing them once you are done taking them and then to be charged £50 per image for them afterwards (and that is without them being airbrushed) DO NOT GO HERE! The photographer himself was lovely if a little rushed and unimaginative. But the sheer audacity of them trying to charge £800 for 40 images (that is discounted) of family pictures. This by the way does not include hair, make up, airbrushing and less than half an hour of actual picture time. that are never going to be used in any sort of advertising is ludicrous. Please do not go here. read more

BEWARE CONMEN AT WORK!!!! My family and I were left waiting for an hour and a half even though we were given an appointment time. When we were taken down for our photographs to be taken we were told that due to "the rules" we would have to have shots of our children alone, when we only wanted the family photo which came with the package, which had been bought for us. When we got down to have a look at the photos we were told that we were entitled to two prints, we narrowed them down, then the conman went to work. After saying over and over again that I did not want to use my £40 deposit on any other photos the man would not give up. So eventually we agreed, mainly just so we could actually get out of there, that with my deposit I would get the twelve images left on the screen put on a disc. At no time did the man say that I would not be entitled then to get my two printed photos which were part of the original package, he only said that I would get the disc with the twelve images for my £40. When we called to check when our two photos would arrive the receptionist is clearly well trained in this sort of disagreement and just kept saying that I had signed to say that I only wanted the disc, he ended by telling me that we were "just going round in circles", what great customer service, he even had the cheek to make out that I had got a good deal. If you value your time and your wallet don't even think about going here, even if you get a voucher as a gift, the deposit is obviously taken as a way to rob customers of their money. DON'T DO IT p.s. I would have given this NO STARS but that option is not available. read more

Shoot was fine, nice pics etc. Negotiated a price for 16 photos AND prints with the guy. The prints never came, we went to speak to Citi Stuidos and the guy hadn't put on our invoice it would come with prints. We spent 10mins discussing a price for photos AND prints so really annoyed this guy swindled us. This was the only family shoot we could afford with our 3month old baby and paid £300 plus for the package and only got half the deal. Cant afford to get them printed properly so a waste of time and money. read more

I applied for a free shooting service, they called me saying I won. I booked the appointment. They asked for a £50 deposit (for my "free" shooting). I was too good and believed that they will pay me back after the shooting. Because I was only limited time in London, I couldn't make it. I called them couple of days in advance to cancel. They didn't refund me. So, for a "free service" they offered, and never happened, I needed to pay £50. They are losers, won't go there. read more

My friend bought me a groupon voucher for the 1950s offer. The experience turned sour after the shoot. We got to the private viewing room and the gentleman who is supposed to show you the photos was instantly trying to rush you out. He didn't even let the slide show finish before frantically clicking through the remaining 10 shots. We didn't have time to work out what we liked. We were then told that our free shot was an individual shot even though it was a two person experience to share together. We politely questioned this and then the man got rude and intimidating. He asked us "what do you expect, every photo for free", "most people spend a lot of money and you're not spending anything". We hadn't even suggested as such. We said his behaviour was unprofessional and he said "not a word of thanks from you two". We had thanked him! I then asked how long he will keep the pictures as I wanted to buy some but wanted to look through in a comfortable environment. He replied "already deleted, by worth it for us to keep them". We couldn't believe it. We complained to the manager and suggested he judged us because we had bought groupon. The manager instantly said that wasn't the case. He came back to us and walked is outside and said the man had denied being ride and called us rude. Completely shocking behaviour. He tried to offer all photos for £100. The price wasn't the issue, it was the treatment of that man!!! Having left feeling shaken, we found many similar reviews. Shocking behaviour. Should be ashamed of himself and the manager for endorsing it since it's happened many times. read more

Absolutely awful place, never would I go back! My app was booked for 1pm I didn't get seen until 1.40 and never got a warning they were running late never got offered a drink the whole 4 hours I was there, I spent more time waiting than I did having my hair and make up done or having photos done. 2 people done my hair and make up at same time girls were lovely but was very rushed only took 15 mins to do both never got asked how I wanted it and my make up wasn't how i wanted it at all my hair was straightened that was it, after that I then sat back down and no one come to me for another hour I then had my photos done and I felt very uncomfortable I was taken into 3 diff rooms to have photos done and others were all having them done to, a man that worked there was walking about on the phone to a company about arranging to view a house, very unprofessional, couldn't even get changed with out people still in the room, felt so uncomfortable, the whole time i just wanted to leave. Again the lady doing the photos was lovely but the whole atmosphere and the way everything run was awful. I then waited 45 to see pics and when I did the man just looked threw them all told me the prices which started at £380 for 10 photos on CD. He then put them on a slide show for me to view but stopped half way threw and went threw them single I felt rushed and like he just wanted me to buy, he went threw them and deleted all the ones he through wasn't good I didn't get a say in what I liked, he always commented ' I have a sexy face but big arms and the dress I was wearing didn't suit me ' I felt so down and upset I just wanted to leave, I left the room to have a think but I just wanted to leave! I left and just asked for my 2 free prints and my deposit money back! Never would I recommended! Absolutely awful!!! read more

Booked a WOWCHER deal. Although we waited an hour for our hair and make-up to be done we were thrilled with the results. The two make-up artists were excellent and made us feel very comfortable. However, the photographer made us feel very uncomfortable, very 'touchy-feely' with a few crude comments thrown in. Then came the HUGE disappointment. The deal included a free image on CD. When choosing our image they show you a price list stating that individual images are £50 and bulk buys start at £300 for ten. We didn't have that sort of money so we opted to just have the free pic and were then told that we were not allowed to chose one of both of us (which was not stated on the voucher - it actually said we could pick a photo of our choice) and that we could only pick a single shot. I knew then what sort of company they were. The guy then offered us a 'deal' for some pics for £100 which I've read they do a lot and we left. I also paid £50 for a 'good will' booking fee which I realised there was no mention of. I phoned them and asked about it and how I would be getting that refunded and had the receptionist try to tell me that we had agreed to pay £150 for the images and wouldn't be getting the booking fee back. To cut a very long story short I had to threaten them with Citizens Advice and the police before they would give me back my deposit. I would never use them again. read more

OMG!!! I will never go there again!!!Went there abt week ago with my best friend with vouchers. The girls who were doing make-up were very nice and polite(although we didn't like a make-up we asked for smoky eyes and it was too much and we were looking like sb beaten us,my friend already rub some off in the toilet)) so as a photographer..But the guy who deals with customers in the end should have been fired straight away!!!I've never seen customer service like that!!!The guy is so rude!!!We bought 2 separate vouchers with 2 free images to get each and he said to us we just get 1 each.We started to explain what we bought and wanted show him a voucher but he said it won't change anyth! Then he started complain how expensive everyth is and that people want everyth for free, but we just wanted what we bought! Then he called manager(not that nice either)After long arguments we were so pissed that we decided to take this 1 photo and our deposit back and walk away. Then he said''very strange You just want to take 1 photo, unusual''and then he started to come up with some funny offers..in the end he gave us 3 pictures each for our deposits(we wanted just 2 free images like a voucher saidand it was a problem..)but he told us to be very quick choosing because he doesn't have time and has to go somewhere which was very funny cos we saw few customers waiting and obviously it is HIS BLOODY JOB to do it properly and let customers choose them fav image slowly!Suddenly he even offered us all pictures for just £60!!-strange cos at the very begining he introduced same thing for £1200!!!We were shocked!!!There are not professional!!!They supposed to get new customers with these offers like the other salons do and not push them away!!!Our feets will never ever go back there!!!Very dissapointed, bad experience!!!Please don't go there!!! read more

I would firstly like to say that all the rest of the staff up until the time we had our private viewing of our photographs were very friendly, polite and accommodating. However our photoshoot experience when it came to the private viewing was very upsetting. The experience was brought for myself and my sister as Xmas present and it included make-up application, hair styled, private viewing session and private photoshoot, with one complimentary image on CD. Our private viewing session was rushed and abrupt. We also had no information regarding pricing or how the purchasing system worked beforehand. When in the waiting room we were 'waved' over by a gentlemen who took us into the private viewing room. We were briefly flicked through a few of our photographs and given the package prices, when we showed our interest was for the complimentary photo the gentlemen said so you don't have any money then basically which we found incredibly invasive and rude. We were quickly offered a deal of £200 for all of our photos on CD, we were not prepared to pay £200 on the spot and were told we would have no time outside of the studio to consider purchase, that it was today's purchases or nothing. We were then offered £50 for all of the photos of my sister and I on CD for £50. Thinking we would receive all of our photos together we agreed as the photographer had taken many during our shoot in 3 different outfits. At this point the gentlemen advised there were only 8 pictures of us together, however when flicking through (incredibly) fast we were both sure we had seen others of us together in our other outfits. He then explained there were only 8 pictures that the photographer had given to him and of course he would show us if there were others. We barely had a chance to view the 8 pictures!! And when getting home and looking at them we were not happy with them at all. If we had been given more of a chance to make a decision instead of being pressured by quick sales techniques we would have only taken ONE COMPLIMENTARY picture. It felt like as soon as the gentlemen realised we were not there to spend alot of money we were rushed and pushed into making a decision that when we left we realised we were not happy with. This was a gift that was suppose to be an enjoyable experience, we left feeling intimidated and bullied by this man. I was very upset that not only myself but my sister felt extremely uncomfortable by this gentleman's rash and rude behaviour. I dont understand why Citistudio would put this offer on http://lastminute.com/ (a discount website) offering a service, with complimentary photo to then push sales upon their customers. We have sent various emails to the company complaining and have received no reply or attempt to even apologise let alone get our money back for the photos we did not want in the first place read more

Got a £10 deal from lastminute.com which included For two people: make up consultation with a professional stylist, hair consultation with a professional stylist, photo shoot, editing (airbrush) and photo viewing session with 1 image and 20% off all other images purchased. How the day went: We were booked in at 12pm. As you'd expect, we turn up bang on midday, but it wasn't until 2.30pm before we started getting our hair and make up done (this took an hour). Apparently, the lady was professional, but she only knew how to do one hair style (which she had done for the two previous clients, myself and my mum who all had different lengths and types of hair). The make up was far to light for flash photography. My mum (who I went with) looked like she had NO make up on what so ever in every photo not what she'd asked for. The photographer was very friendly, he was good at helping us relax and asked us how he'd like us to pose (considering we'd never done this before, this was good for us). He took equal photos of us together and separately. There were multiple backgrounds in three rooms, with chairs and chase(s). My only upset with Adam was he always asked for 'teeth' when I smiled; I don't have the nicest teeth in the world, and didn't really want to show them off. He even refused to take a photo of the pair of us until I smiled properly. After about 45mins and 3 dress changes each, we were done in the studio and were told to wait upstairs while they edited the photos. 30mins later all 125 photos had been airbrushed and we ready to view. Out of 125 photos, we only liked two. The photographer, as lovely as he was, was useless. All the angles he used were not complimentary to either myself or my mum. As for the editing, it was HARDLY airbrushing. I know (a little) about photo editing and post-production, and all the bloke had done was play with the lighting, which really disappointed us. On small piece of paper on the table, it quoted £395 for 5 images for that price, I wanted to look like Kate Moss!!! However, the prices were not discussed at all until we'd looked through the photos. I think the guy realised we didn't like the photos at all and became very rude and aburpt towards us. He offered 4 photos for £50 (the deposit money) so they wouldn't lose out. We took his offer, had two photos we liked and two I thought I could edit and make better myself. I would not recommend this studio to anyone who wants a professional photography session. If you don't need any airbrushing, go for it! But the asking price is SHOCKING. read more

I was at Citi by myself on a Wowcher voucher and after reading reviews I was a bit hesitant. I shouldnt have worried at all. From having my coat taken and being given a lovely juice to sip on I was very comfortable and assured I was going to have a good day. Wrong again. I had an AMAZING day. The studio was spotless with a variety of goodies (twix bar yum yum!) and a tv with music documentarys for entertainment. When I got in to hair and makeup the artist 'Beau' worked her magic and totally transformned me into what I was hoping to look like. She was super friendly and gave me some advice to help me replicate the look at home. The shoot itself was a tiny bit rushed because I had tricky outfits that took a while to get on and off, but the photographer was lovely and even laughed with me over an embarassing wardrobe malfunction. The wait for the retouched shoot was as I was expecting (about 25 mins) and the man who showed me the selection to choose from gave me the option to buy more, but never preassured me. I wasnt preassured at all to part with any money over my voucher. The final pictures I chose were truly better than I expected and I would recommend Citis services unreservedly even after being conned by a similar company years ago. 5 stars and an extra large thumbs up to Beau the miracle make up lady :) Emma, 24, London (with all the animals!) read more

I bought a Groupon voucher and went along with 2 friends for the day. Having read the reviews I must say I really wasn't expecting a good experience and debated not bothering. Really pleased we did - it turned out to be FANTASTIC.. really don't know what happened with the people who have given poor reviews??! We didn't wait too long before we were having our hair and make up done. The make up artist asked us how we wanted to look and took our personal sytles into account and did a great job of making us look amazing, but not so different that we weren't still US. Then for the photo shoot.. such fun was had. The wait to view our photos was over an hour and if we'd been told that we would have popped out for a sandwich as we were very hungry by then.. so that bit was a little annoying. Viewing the photos was fab. We were left on our own to view them, then whittled them down to the few that we were willing to buy on top of the 2 we got as part of the amazing deal. No hard sell AT ALL.. A really nice guy. The whole day was just so much fun, the photos were amazing and all in all I would highly recommend to anybody. Maybe we just go lucky.. but I would do it again for sure :) read more

What was done? Spent about 4 hours there, had three outfits and lots of photos. How was the experience? Although I'm not into modelling or anything related, I've done shootings before and this was not very professional. All girls I saw (4 all together, while waiting) had exactly the same styling - no individual adjustment. Positions for the photos were not discussed and followed a standard procedure, too. Once they figured out that I had an amazon-local voucher they were considerably unfriendly, complimenting almost immediately outside. The initial price was relatively low and one photo included, each single photo after that was incredibly expensive (At another place, I had had a better shooting for the price of ONE photo of citi studio and could keep all 50 photos!). The pics weren't that good, mainly because there was no time to talk about my expectations and no sense for detail on side of the photographer. Conclusion? There are better studios to get your photos done and unless you want to be treated like on an assembly line (for whatever reason I will not judge you) - simply don't go there. read more

Not what i expected, we were very well received and everybody were very polite, but we had to wait over 3 hours even dough we were in time for our appointment. then you expect to have lots more good pictures then the bad ones as you are dealing with a professional photographer worling on his envirement and with his camera. Not what happened, we had more bad pictures then good ones lets say 80 to 20%. Some pretty beginners mistake, like cutting off your feet and or your head, or using a white subject on a white backgroung no showing even a siluet. Anyway the photographer was in his rush either to go or to get more shoots done in the same day, and the results were the pictures. At the end we found out the prices of the pictures,,WHAT??? Costly, and at the ende a deal kind of worked out which for me looked like all planned from the beginning to make look cheap and more as favour then a deal. I recommend if you want a proper job done you research well because make up only doesnt worth the money you spend here, and always work out the price before you get in the studios. read more

I recently attended the studio with a friend for a makeover and photoshoot day and have to say i thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! The person that booked us in for our appointment was polite and helpful with all our enquiries and we didn't feel pressured to hand over our card details to pay our deposits. when we got to the studio everyone was warm and friendly and did everything they could to ensure we were happy, constantly offering us drinks etc. the makeup and hair was amazing - i couldnt believe i was looking at the same person!!! i was so nervous about having my photographs taken as i'm very self conscious but the photographer was very professional and made me feel at ease. the photos were so lovely they brought a tear to my eye!! i can highly recommend the studio to anyone thinking of having a makeover day! i have attended several studios in the past but citi studios certainly went above and beyond to make me feel special! I can't wait to go back! read more

I've been to several studios for makeovers in the past and can honestly say this is the best one that I've been to. From the word go staff are super friendly and make you feel like one of them! The make up was exactly as I'd requested during my consultation and the hair was stunning too! We had a really funny photographer who talked us through the shoot and gave us a really good laugh! Photos were great and we had a few retouched (why not!!). Price wise I found the studio very competitively priced compared to the likes of Doubletake and new id. We bought the majority of our photos for a great price, and I have already booked to come back for another shoot with a group of friends for my birthday! I can't wait! Thank you to all the staff at citi studio for making it such an enjoyable and memorable day! see you soon!! :) read more

Thank you so much for our fab afternoon yesterday. Loved every minute of it. The photographer was sweet and she made you feel so comfortable, and the photo's she took are amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The make up looked amazing, the hair dresser could have paid a bit more attention to what we said we wanted but then again we were pleased that we still looked like ourselves at the end of it. Lovely clean studio with snacks and drinks on hand. Special thanks must go to the guy who showed us our photos, he's sweet and understanding and very proffesional and got us a great deal on our prints, we were bowled over at the lengths he went to please us, we couldnt say thank you enough. Would definately go again as was an awesome experience. Thanks again from Rachel, Jen and Carol. read more

They are scammers, don't go there! After booked an appointment for 2 o'clock, I had to wait 3 HOURS until they start with the makeup. I asked If I could have my nails done while I was waiting but they refused to do it to me. Even telling them that I could pay for it. Also, the people attended on the reception could be much more friendly and generous. The makeup artist was nice to me and the photographer also but the photo shoot was not done with reasonable care and skill for the cost. They charge a hight amount of money for unprofessional and poor quality images. I definelty won't recommend that place. read more

The bad-Amateur level photos, many off key shots with little attention to details for example floor wires in shot bits of ceiling etc, out of 80 shots you will be lucky to obtain 6 acceptable professional standard , and that's only after you have tweaked the brightness and contrast levels and cropped the bits that shouldn't be in the photo. The good some of the staff are very friendly and pleasant. Overall do not take this place seriously do not waste your money here. Mite be worth a try if you get a groupin voucher but be prepared for sales pressures and sky high prices! read more

I thought citistudio was a great studio. The makeup artists are really professional and offer great advice. The day was really enjoyable and I loved all my pictures. I wanted to buy them all and the guy showing me them gave me a discount. He even explained how I could get free prints. I have already booked a new appointment with Amazon to have another makeover with my family. I would recommend it. It was very busy and that's always a good sign. read more

This company is to be avoided. High pressure sales techniques, long waits. Expect to walk out at least 500 pounds poorer for a few pictures on a dvd. A classic scam. Don't be tempted even if you have a so called discounted voucher. You will get sucked in. They will not want to tell you how it works until very late in the process. Avoid at all cost. read more
