In fact I've noticed that there's 5 or 6 people working there who have been there since 1998 and that speaks volumes to the character of management - has to be good to retain employees for so long. When I call Sue quickly routes my call to whoever I need to speak to. She's a lovely woman and like the other team members there - is friendly, professional and works to help get me to the right person as quickly as possible. I don't understand the low reviews - all I can say about that is this - as a regular customer at any business I've noticed over my years that if I treat folks with respect and kindness that's what I get in return. I have had accounts with PNC and its predecessor institutions for many years and recently moved back into the area near this location. My primary bank had been Chase, but they closed their Western Springs location (the one in Dominick's), sold the ATM they had in Walgreen's (it's now a Citi ATM) and have obstinately refused to re-open any replacement reasonably convenient to us. PNC will be my go-to bank from now on.

I lost money twice on the bank's coin counting machine. The coins were separated and double and…read moretriple counted by me. The first time was for $10.00 even, the second time was for $4.85. The tellers said they couldn't do anything about it. I then contacted the branch manager and she acted very uncaring and refused to do anything about it. Anything over $1.00 in coins is put into the machine and that's it. Whatever the machine counts is what it is without any recourse to dispute or get your money back out of it.

I used to bank at PNC across the street for many years, but I finally closed that account because they must work on commission. Not a fan. Riverside Bank also welcomes people by always having cookies, coffee, and cream at a little table near the counter. I love that! I may or may not have indulged in that this afternoon when going to the bank with my mom. If I ever need to open up another bank account, I would certainly be inclined to choose to open one up here. When making a payment on their site, it doesnt give you an option to do that like every other banks sites do. When I called to ask, I was told I would physically have to bring in extra payments to a branch to apply them to the principle of my loan. After this one is paid off, I will likely never do business with them again over this. Life is too busy these days to have to visit a branch every time I want to pay extra towards my loan.
