God's presence is in every corner of this church. The first time I went, I was crying before I entered the sanctuary. Worship is spirit filled, healing and deliverance happen every time I've gone, and Jesus is moving in ways I've never experienced anywhere else. I go here because it's very Spirit filled, it's genuine, and it's fostered my own growth. The praise of Jesus is relentless - so if you like Jesus this is a good spot :) Right now there's only one (10am) service, you get to know all kinds of people, and there's opportunities to plug in. The pastors are truly gifted and preach from the Bible. I'm glad I took a chance and wandered in a few years ago. They have women "pastors" big red flag, demonstrates their rejection of Biblical authority and purpose in Church leadership. They appear to cater those who are unbeliever or very new Christians. I'm sure they are very nice people but Christians should look elsewhere for a home church. read more

I love this church...I have read the reviews and disappointed. Someone who came from out of town one time...get real. So here is the real scoop. The minister, Danny, is one of the best I have ever heard... for what I like. He is a teacher first, but yes it is based on the bible. He does not simply stand up there and boringly repeat scripture from the bible (I can do that myself, thank you very much). He actually explains it to you in a way that you can relate it to on an every day basis. If you come from a traditional church like Methodist (I can speak from experience because this is what I attended for years) that only gives scripture and no real life stories, then you might be disappointed. His sermons always included many scriptures, but then also gives real life demonstrations. Now my husband likes a more biblical history lesson type of sermon. Each person is different and to give a one star because it is different from you like is unfair in my opinion. Just like there is different men for different women (thank goodness or we would be fighting over the same person), there are different churches for different people. I come from a large biblical based family. An uncle with a PhD and has written text books, a cousin who was first a missionary and then CEO of one of the largest nation wide organizations for troubled youth, and personally a wife of a minister and attended a bible college. I can honestly say that this church touches my heart the best when it comes to relating to the scripture and motivating me to make changes in actions and attitudes in my personal life. The music is loud and modern. Sometimes, it has a rhythm that I truly enjoy more than any other music I have heard. Other times it can be overwhelming and seem to go on forever, to a middle age woman such as myself. Either way it is still more interesting than most church music to me. Again, my husband prefers the traditional, slow music. He even played in a bell choir for awhile. As much as I did not like Methodist preaching, I did feel a more community feel because of the Sunday school and Wednesday classes. They helped me to know my fellow worshipers so much better. I went there for years, until I moved, because of the relationships that I had developed. However, I always felt a need for better sermons and better music. When we came to Oasis, it provided that. On the downside, there is no Sunday school, so we have not felt that community feel. I encourage you to try many churches to see what best fits your needs, which is what we did. We hoped to find one church that provides all of the above...have not...but keep coming back to Oasis, because when it comes right down to it, it is the sermon that means the most to me and no one does it better than Danny. read more

Summary: It's your slickly produced American church. I came to the church for their Wednesday night service. Not a single person in the church greeted me when I came in nor did anyone talk to me when I was seated in the sanctuary. In fact, no one said a word to me the entire time I was in the building. The worship was like MTV Unplugged goes to church. The singer and guitarist weren't bad...you could just tell it was slickly produced and rehearsed. The display on the screens of the singer and guitarist reminded me of television shows on gospel TV networks. The speaker for the night wasn't the main pastor of the church. His talk wasn't as much Biblical teaching or a sermon but more of a cross between a CSPAN3 Book Talk and a Ted talk. He had a book that he had written and he was going over parts of the book in a self-help talk kind of way. Now, the guy obviously knew his subject and he did give some wonderful advice. It just wasn't really a church event. Yes, he referenced a few scriptures that tied into what he was talking about but he could have given that talk anywhere and those who knew the guy was a pastor would just go "ok, he said a Bible thing." The whole thing left me with the impression that if you want a typical American church that puts on the trendy worship show, gives you more self-help than Biblical truth (like you'd see in Joel Osteen's church) and that you can treat like a country club where you show up once a week to say you went to church, you'll be just fine here. Bottom line: It's your typical American Christian church in 2017. read more

I visited this church when I was travelling with my daughter who is relocating to Nashville and were hoping to find her home church. I feel bad speaking ill of this church as they do preach the Word and have a biblical foundation. However, the music didn't feel worship based for the congregation to join in, but more concert and singer centered. the girls were displayed like a singer with her 2 back up singers. the sermon was good, but every sentence it the pastor was asking for confirmation that what he said needed an amen or applause. I feel like if someone is going in the hopes of a church similar to a large city church, you will be disappointed and perhaps uncomfortable, as I truly felt for the majority of the time. read more

My wife worked there for years teaching children, including teaching the pastor's children and other leaders in the church. Seems no one wanted to act like she existed once the church grew into a new building and gained some richer members. When I asked two of the elders in the church for help understanding some scriptures, they avoided me, and told me they would sit down and help me, but would never do it, months and months went by, I asked other leaders ,still no help from anyone. If you want a church that puts on a big show, you got the right place, if you want to learn about the Bible or be a part of a loving family of worshippers that include someone besides their circle of higher ups, go somewhere else.
