She brought his official death certificate with her, yet staff still refused to provide any information. Instead, they bounced her from employee to employee for over two hours, told her she "needed an attorney," and claimed she needed to provide the BILL FROM THE FUNERAL HOME before they could even discuss the loan, as if the death certificate wasn't proof enough of his passing. Think about how absurd that is. A death certificate wasn't enough, but apparently a funeral invoice was? She was not trying to take out a loan, access an account improperly, or "pull something over" on anyone. She was trying to PAY OFF THE LOAN so she could obtain the title to the vehicle. Instead of showing even basic compassion to a grieving widow, your staff treated her like a criminal. The complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and common sense was disgusting. Watching a grieving woman be reduced to tears over something that should have been handled in minutes was unacceptable. If this is how this institution treats families dealing with the death of a loved one, people should seriously reconsider doing business here. I suggest going anywhere else.

The letter said to refer to the paperwork when I opened the account for details. Problem is...I opened the account in 1986. I guess it's time to move on to better.

I have an auto loan with Farmer's National Bank presently and I would not ever, under any…read morecircumstances, do repeat business with this bank. They assessed me a $150.00 prepayment penalty on the account for attempting to pay it off early. I have paid off every auto loan I've ever had with other banks, and none of them charged such a penalty. I called to try to have it waived and was redirected through numerous people over the course of a couple days. I now have to pay 32 cents per month by check for the next six months because the account balance is $1.90, and if I pay the remaining $1.90 immediately the $150.00 prepayment penalty will be assessed. Take your money elsewhere, not to Farmer's National Bank, unless you want to deal with ludicrously unwielding customer service and predatory lending involving prepayment penalties. There are plenty of other banks (most, in fact) who will NOT charge you such a fee. Had to give one star to leave the review, since zero stars isn't an option.

Walked in with my identification to retrieve MY card. "We do not return cards". I offered for them to call my hometown bank to verify its my card, and who I am. I attempted a business account with them to be able to accept credit cards for my rental business…read more The system they use online was so complicated and high tech you need a computer degree to navigate it. As I was trying to navigate the system, putting in about 25 or more hours and learn it all the time being frustrated, I gave up. My account was charged over 475.00 for ann. fees and services. Mind you I only ran one credit card in the 2 months I banked with them. When I was informed there would be an additional monthly fee for computer compliance I gave up, closing the account pulling all my money from the bank. I was given the runaround when asking for some of my money to be refunded.
