Hands down the best dentist office! The front desk lady is the absolute sweetest, and my dental assistant (I believe her name was Cindy) was just as kind and comforting. Dr. Shaw did an amazing job , he was so gentle and constantly checked to make sure I wasn't in any pain. Anytime I felt even the slightest discomfort, he slowed down and made sure I was okay. If I'm being honest, I barely felt anything during my extraction! If you need any dental work done , even just a cleaning , this is the place to go. You definitely won't regret it! read more

Just like most people I have a pretty deep fear of the dentist but when I came and got my extraction everyone was so nice friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond and easily the best dental I could've gone to. From the blanket I was given to the procedure to the ice cream they had waiting for me when it was time to go I seriously couldnt have asked for a better experience. Title disappointed- No cleaning after X-rays and exam. I went in expecting a basic cleaning along with my dental exam and X-rays, which is what most patients assume will happen during a first visit. Instead, after taking my X-rays and doing exam, I was told I needed a deep cleaning and they couldn't do the regular cleaning. I had no prior gum disease or related symptoms.This was not explained before using my benefits and I was left without basic cleaning and felt the experience was very misleading.The doctor became very frustrated after I would not agree to a $1322 deep cleaning on the spot without consulting my primary physician do to documented severe allergies instead of the basic cleaning $206.00 100% covered by Insurance. This clinic never mentioned this upfront, not did they provide any informed consent to proceed under a different treatment plan. If there were more stars they'd get them. I found Citrus after finally having to address negative dental issues from a past dentist. Tired of my concerns being dismissed, I really wanted to find a female dentist. Citrus Smiles showed up in the reviews and Dr. Neha sounded fantastic so I called. I've since worked with all three dentists (two female and one male) and they've all three been the best. Despite being a new patient and so near the holidays, they were able to see me the same day because it was an emergency. They clearly explained my options so that I knew exactly what was recommended but also all the other avenues available as well depending on what I was comfortable with and what I could afford. There was zero pressure to choose anything other than what I felt was best. And NONE of my concerns were ever dismissed. I spent a quality amount of time talking through prices and finance options with Eman. We were able to look at the costs of each of the possible routes before I ever had to decide. I ended up having dental surgery two days after Christmas and it took longer than planned. They were so kind, patient, and communicative with me. They even played my favorite calming music on the TV LOL(Willie Nelson). When the doctor was confronted with an obstacle she reached out to the owner who swooped in and saved a tooth we were worried we'd have to remove. When my wisdom tooth extraction + the other issues took longer than expected, they stayed well past the regular (or expected) hours and I know after we left around 9:30pm they had to stay even later to clean up. They called and checked in the following days and for the past few months have continued being everything they were from day one: excellent. I ended up working with three of their dentists throughout my experiences there and all three have been fantastic. The techs and assistants are the absolute sweetest and amazing at their jobs. Eman and the others who help with appointments and finances are equally great. I'm now working through my Invisalign journey with them. I hate that I had to go through the Frog-dentist who messed up my teeth before I was prompted to find the fairy tale ending of dentists. But, as is life sometimes. If you're afraid of dental work- from the procedures to the costs- this is the place for you. Dental work still isn't fun and of course it still costs money, but they make it as UN-awful as they possibly can. And, no: They have not paid me nor have they even asked me to write this. The staff and the Doc at Citrus Smiles in Wylie are not only top notch in their interaction but also in their abilities. Had a tooth needed to be pulled and ended up with a bit more than expected as far as what was going on in my mouth. The Doc and his staff didn't hesitate to do the right thing and took care of my situation that could have eventually become very severe. They not only took extra steps to insure that I wouldn't have severe issues in the future but also did it in a way that my recovery wasn't extended or made worse for me. These people are amazing and I am one who isn't a big fan to dental or medical facilities. But in all honesty I have found my dental home and trust the wonderful care givers at Citrus Smiles in Wylie with my and my families dental needs. Dr. Aurora and Citrus Smiles ABSOLUTELY exceeded my expectations. I called last minute, quite literally, needing a next day appointment for my wisdom tooth extraction (all 4, 2 were impacted in the bone) after having to cancel with my previous dentist. I called around 5:30 pm on Thursday prior to Labor Day and was on my way to Citrus Smiles before 5:45 pm! Fatma and the other staff were SO kind to even ask if they could work me in. Dr. Aurora stayed late on Thursday to examine my teeth and take his own x-rays and set a plan for the following day. He explained the process and my options so much better than my previous dentist and made me feel much more comfortable going into surgery. I'm under the impression I was actually worked into the schedule (he came in early) which was a lifesaver for me. I had already taken off work and planned for surgery, which is difficult for me as I work for a pediatric eye surgeon myself. Changing the dates would have been difficult but Dr. Aurora made it happen so I only had to take one day off work and could use the Labor Day holiday to recover! His bedside manner and the customer service from the entire practice was more than enough to please me, but he kept exceeding my expectations! I arrived to my appointment on Friday and was greeted by a staff member from the local hospital to help administer the IV for my anesthesia and monitor my vitals. This brought me so much peace of mind! Although not required, having the extra care was very comforting. Dr. Aurora administered a cortisone injection which helps with pain and inflammation. I fully expected to be miserable for days post op based off experiences from family/friends but I was feeling about 85% better within 24 hours of surgery! The day following surgery, I could comfortably eat or drink and was even feeling good enough to lay by the pool for an hour and went to see a movie in theaters. One week later, I am not in any pain and healing extremely well! I truly believe Dr. Aurora's magic hands have played a part in my quick healing because I know many friends who were still in bed a week later. I have changed my dentist to Citrus Smiles and would not hesitate one bit to recommend anyone and everyone to this practice. I consider myself extremely extremely blessed to have come across this practice and even more to have become a patient! read more
