I ordered the prime rib with a baked potato for my entree. I also had a caesar salad that came with my meal. The salad was awesome. If i went back, i would be totally okay ordering a chicken caesar entree. However, my prime rib came and it was cooked just how i requested. The horseradish was creamed and paired well with my meat. H&M's Steakhouse is the complete opposite. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, and professional. Glasses stay full, staff are welcoming, and your food arrives quickly without sacrificing quality. I've eaten here since they first opened, and to this day I have never left disappointed. The steaks are exceptional -- true top-quality cuts, hand selected, perfectly seasoned, and flame grilled exactly the way a steak should be. In my opinion, these are the best steaks in North Dakota, and I would confidently put them up against Ruth's Chris Steak House any day of the week. The rest of the menu is just as impressive. The HM Pasta will feed a grown man for two days, the sides are generous, and if the baby carrots are on the menu, order them. The desserts are homemade and outstanding -- the crème brûlée is one of my favorites. What truly separates H&M from other restaurants is the ownership. The owners are heavily involved, often cooking the steaks themselves because they genuinely care about quality and consistency. In a town where restaurants sometimes run out of basics, H&M somehow always has the full menu available and ready to go. Another rare quality is how much they value customer feedback. The owners personally address concerns and truly care about the customer experience. And I would be remiss not to mention BJ -- hands down the best waitress in McKenzie County.
