Love a chopped salad!! This place was perfect to cleanse the belly after a rich time on Bourbon street. I did enjoy the local NOLA cuisine, with lots of butter, cream, sausage, shrimp, everything was delicious and as I rolled myself to the gate I saw a chopped salad spot! I would prefer negative stars for the City Greens in the airport. Zero people in line and these 2 ladies stood there looking at the phone and talking. The lady holding the phone looked at me several times and continued with her chat. After 5 minutes of standing there, I finally said, "Excuse me can I order a salad?" The lady with the phone disappeared behind the wall. The other lady looked at me and said she was on break. So I asked her if the lady that walked away was also on break. She got huffy with me, walked to the counter and very rudely told me again she was on break but she would make me a salad. I told her never mind and left. Wanted to order two chicken wraps. The person in front of us ordered a chicken sandwich also. They took the "last" of the chicken we were told. I said you have no more chicken ready to go...the worker said no chicken. Mind you they just opened for lunch not much earlier. About 10 minutes later, after ordering a different wrap, we walked by and the chicken container was heaped over with chicken. If you have not stopped at this location while in the B gate area, you're missing out. I was just exploring the airport since I had time. It was well worth it, and I will be back. The employee was kind and friendly, which made my process go smoothly. I was there Thursday 9/21/23 around noon. She took my order and started making it right in front of me. She even tossed the salad once all of the sides were in. It was the perfect amount of dressing. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Every ingredient was fresh. Terrible service. Does not matter the time or day. I frequently fly SW airlines and have tried multiple times. Most times someone is there to make the salad but cannot work the register. They say they're waiting for that person. Therefore placing an order for food is out of the question. I've gone and had to wait to be acknowledged by staff, including waiting to complete texting before ringing me up. That time there was a shortage of dressing. The salad, if you get one, is ok. I am writing this review in the hopes it is read by whomever owns this establishment and to warn other customers. I was flying back to Virginia on Sunday, April 6 and, was looking for healthy meal options. Before I go into depth, I want to share that I have worked in the food service industry for a number of years, and I know what good service looks like. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I have had due to the extreme rudeness and unpleasant demeanor of the individuals working the counter that day. The person making the salads barked at the customer in front of me so much so that he ended up leaving. That should have been my clue. She was rude to me and kept telling me that there was no chicken in a harsh tone. In addition, when I requested my dressing of choice she shouted that they did not have that particular dressing. When I inquired as to what they did have, she yelled, "Its on the board! Read the board!" I went back to read the board and the particular dressing I had asked for was listed on the board so I asked for it again. She looked at her co-worker who was working the register and laughed and shook her head. She then walked over to the board, yanked it toward her, and then put it back saying, "We don't have that one." My response? "Then quit shouting at me that I need to read the board when it clearly is not accurate." I asked her what options they did have and she again barked, "Look at the board." I asked for ranch and I could see a container that had ranch in it but she would only let me select from the remaining items on the board. I got my salad and she told the cashier to ring up "Tom Jones." Whatever that means. If the salad had not already been made, I would have walked away. This individual should not be interacting with the public and had no call to be so rude and disrespectful. If this were my business, I would not want her to be the face of the establishment. Then, when I went to pay, I requested a copy of my receipt and was told that the printer was not working. Seriously?!! Whomever does the ordering for the store needs to be sure that all items are available.....even on a Sunday. If you have an option, I would not recommend this establishment. read more

I have frequented this establishment many times before and was happy with my choice. As we walked up to the counter we were abruptly told they need to close for 20 min. Ok, walked away and then returned. Ordered my make your own salad and found it inedible. The lettuce was brown and it was very overdressed. Luckily I had low expectations for this quick airport salad stop so I was only minimally disappointed by my anemic $12 salad. When I asked if they had a tofu or vegan option the woman just shook her head no and pointed at the menu screen. I opted for a build your own and watched sadly as I got only half scoop of beans and corn and a measly pinch of tortilla chips. One time they had two people there but neither could checkout that cash register and said I needed to come back in 30 min. She also kept ducking to the back (I can only imagine to continue texting on her phone). Horrible customer service. I should've known after I waited over 20 minutes in line with only 4 people in front of me. They failed to note or even mention that they're out of chicken and turkey, which would be fine if I didn't have a shrimp allergy. The employees were incredibly rude as well. This was an unfortunate City Greens experience. I'm giving it 2 stars because the food I got was good--it was the service and availability that are causing the low rating. The two workers were clearly unhappy about something and were not interested in working. They moved very slow--I even heard one say to the other "take your time, that line isnt going anywhere". What a disappointment. Poor service and lack of ingredients. One of the two employees was making salads while the other preened at the register. Only half of the ingredients for the Thai salad were available, but it was only after I paid that the salad-istas bothered to say that anything other than than chicken was missing. First off, how has the chicken run out?! No replenishment of chicken in sight. No cucumber. No avocado for another patron. I'm glad I paid over $10 for a spinach and carrot salad. When I asked to speak to the manager, they said he/she was in the other terminal. I asked if the manager was en route. They said "someone" could call the manager but didn't bother to do it themselves. They were completely uninterested in providing remotely acceptable customer service. Now I'm sitting on my plane with a sad, sad salad that I didn't have time to discuss with the mythical manager. I have stopped here on my way through New Orleans three times in the last three weeks and it just got worse each time. The employees and manager bicker with each other while customers heading for flights wait in line. Today, the serving dishes were dirty. They frequently run out of items in the front and are in no hurry to replace them. The staff is unfriendly. I wanted to give a Christmas tip to the person who served me to cheer them up but finally gave up after they got to the third dirty salad bowl with no apology or sense of urgency whatsoever.
