FBI told me to call the DPD's Financial Crimes division to get them to look into the account owner, who is either intentionally or unwittingly acting as a fraud ring money laundering mule. When I did, the DEI phone operator, probably miserable at her lowly position with zero prospects for advancement so late in life, was rude and unsympathetic, telling me I had NO PROOF that this happened!!! I have proof - documents, emails, texts, and the wire loss itself, LOL. For her to say that, and so pompously... these people are not "protecting and serving", that's for sure, lol. Just collecting a paycheck and pension off the taxpayers like ticks.

Also, I had out of state plates and could not defend myself locally as I was going to New Mexico. There was no provision to attend the defensive driving course since I live out of state. I think the local laws are discriminatory against out of state drivers and the police officer decides which vehicle is going too fast and does not stop the first vehicle he sees. Better signage would help but that would not be in their financial interest.

A few hours later, you miss a turn in Lufkin and end up heading Northwest on Hwy 69 towards Tyler instead of North on Hwy 59 towards Nacogdoches. At that point, you haven't even noticed you're off-course. In this part of East Texas, regardless of which road you're using, you must slow from 70 to 35 mph as you go through every small town or risk becoming acquainted with the local constable. Now imagine yourself about 30 miles up the road from Lufkin, just South of the booming metropolis of Alto when you miss one of the reduce speed signs. Still out in the countryside, an unmarked Alto police vehicle turns on his lights and follows you into town and cites you for doing 65 in a 55 mph zone. I wonder whether Alto has a large enough tax base to support the municipality without this extra speedtrap revenue. At least the ladies at the municipal court were pleasant on the phone a few weeks later when I called to settle the matter. I sure as heck won't make a wrong turn in Lufkin next time...
