Even at nighttime, walking through this entrance on Mariahilfer Strasse, there were a few hobos, but we were more worried about waking them up late at night than our own safety. The location is very close, and just a subway ride away from the central of Vienna, walkable in the summer if you really want to! If you aren't a fan of hobos, the other entrance around the corner (Stiftgasse to Lindengasse) through the parking entrance is much nicer, and just around the block from its entrance on the shopping street. We paid under 70 Euro a night for a twin room which was HUGE, and they did not even charge us extra when we asked for an added pull-out sofa for an extra person. Breakfast wasn't included, but our go-to place for breakfast/brunch was the Leopold Cafe just a stones throw away from the hotel in the Museums Quartier in the Leopold Museum. As mentioned earlier the U-Bahn stop is right near the Museums Quartier so it is really quite convenient. We were in Room 512 and it was HELLA spacious and we could not have asked for more.... we were content plus more, and major thumbs up for service, and location for the price! The room was clean, and the cleaning staff were on point and even folded our clothes for us.... absolutely winning! Also the amenities were new and updated, hair dryer etc. WiFi was strong, and we had no issues connecting to multiple devices. Much better than other hotels I have been for the same price! Minus one star for the wall chipping in the bathroom (it's an older bathroom) and stiff/hard towels and robes (wish they were softer because skin in the winter is easily dried) Would highly stay here again and recommend it!

As mentioned in my review of Liberty Travel, I focused on proximity but from a price perspective most of the hotels were charging a double room occupancy which was a waste since I was going solo this time for Vienna. Truth be told this hotel truly was seven minutes away from City Center and situated near Vienna's Business District. My walk to the Inner Stradt was lovely: I passed many interior design showrooms and stores, cafes and interesting locals. The hotel itself is lovely and situated near a park. The design is warm and cozy. My room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. The most important qualification for all hotels I stay in is cleanliness and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The entire staff were accommodating, professional and friendly. They assisted me with my dude trips and gave me great tips on how to get to a particular must see in a quicker route. There's no microwave, fridge, or minibar. Wi-fi was reliable and easy enough to connect. Checking in was slow and there was a bit of a line and wait. A cheap and serviceable spot for a short trip or stay but would not recommend for a longer duration.

With plush sofas and huge glass windows it is a great place for a couple of drinks and to watch the world go bye. Not a traditional setting for sundowners but not bad. The decor inside is great, reminds me of a hotel in Barcelona that received a five star rating from me. Large bauble chandeliers and low lighting here as well as funky wall projections. At one point Sissi dancing across the wall. Warm and inviting and comfortable there is plenty of seating available but the nicest has got to be the large sofas that you just melt into. There is a good variety of drinks on the menu and very reasonably priced. And now to the service, the reason for 3 stars. Slow, slow, slow. We waited ages to order and then waited ages for the drinks. My personal low point was when I was brought a Weissbier without any head on it. (Sad face!) This is just unacceptable in my opinion! The waitress was friendly though and they seemed to be a bit short staffed. This was brought t my attention again when we left as there was a line of around 10 people at reception and only one receptionist. A little short there too. But despite the service I would go back at this is a really relaxing comfortable place to have a few drinks. Oh and the advertised Free WiFi didn't work.
