Great French Manicure! Reasonably priced and I always get compliments!

Great nail salon! I'm a working professional and I have been going there for 10 years! Everyone thinks my French tips are my own! I love the staff and results! I would give City Nails an A+ Beth

I had to ask for another layer of gel polish, it was still unevenly painted!!! In addition, Stylist painted over cuticles, just a really bad looking gel manicure. When removing my last gel she filed too much and instead of using any chemical remover, she filed the top layer of my nail off with mechanical file. Plus overpriced. Tipped 20% and left but will never return and advice others to avoid this place.

The bigger issue was that I began to experience an allergic reaction to the gel polish. I experienced cracking and peeling skin, some itching, and there was a bruise under my nail. The tech was not aware/educated about gel allergies and applied another set. The reaction became unmanageable at that point and I removed my nails at home. My nails were completely destroyed - terrible onycholysis on all nails. My thumbs were both so bruised they looked they were polished. I was concerned I was going to lose multiple nails. I looked like something out of a zombie film. I ended up needing systemic and topical steroids to stop the reaction. I called the salon and they refunded the money from my last set. That was all. Suffice to say I will not go back nor will I recommend to anyone.

We visited for a Monday morning appointment as soon as they opened and are so glad we did!…read more It's a beautiful spot inside, so modern with comfy cozy faded blue chairs, matching pedicure chairs nearby with wood paneling detailing all throughout. Inside is clean, neat and very well designed. I came in for a gel removal and regular manicure. Danny was the person I saw and he was amazing. Light and careful to the touch, very detailed when painting (especially since I got regular polish and not gel) and did an amazing manicure. My manicure took about 30 minutes, then I let my nails dry and waited for my partner to finish theirs. They offer high quality services and for a good and competitive price. A classic pedicure is $40, gel pedicure is $55 and deluxe pedicure is $60 ($80 with gel). Gel manicure is $40, gel x is $75, deluxe regular manicure is $45 and classic manicure is $30. Inside is clean, neat AND they have a food and coffee/tea bar as well! Brands they carry in colors are OPI, DND, Dip n Duo Nail Lacquer, the Luxe Gel and WAVEgel. I'm very particular about my nails and the service they get but have no complaints about this spot. My nails look perfect, the appointment was thorough but not rushed and a great time. P.s.: they're open everyday! Highly recommend for a great salon day and go see Danny!!

I explained I wanted beige or a natural tone but then the nail tech insisted I get a color. I caved and thought, sure, why not. I regret it because it was a cat eye moonstone purple and greatly clashed with my look and skin tone. I don't know what I was thinking. I understand that wasn't her fault, that's my silly impulse pick. The part I didn't like was how even though I told her my nails were really brittle, she used what was like a nail Dremel on them, getting them so achingly thin that you can see it looks pinker than my normal nail because the blood flow is more to the surface since the nail is so thin. When I later took the nail polish off, my nails are now impossibly thin and look so much worse than before. I expected to get a fresh lift and clean slate, clean off the skin and buff them to health but instead it felt like they were trying to hook me on their services so I'd have to keep coming back and paying over $100 for gel and faux strength on my nails. My friend's nails looked awesome though, even though it took like two hours.

Whatever you do, please do not go here. I thoroughly read the reviews online and looked at all the…read morepictures that were posted, and I was confident Nivy could handle what I was asking for -- unfortunately, I was wrong. At the beginning of my appointment, I showed Nivy a picture of multicolor nails with a French tip -- very basic. Instead of multicolor, I asked for green and blue and specified that I wanted one finger green, then one finger blue. That was not what I got. Let me walk you through the appointment. After Nivy put down a coat of green on all my nails (which I was happy with), she said, "You want me to do something, or you want what's in the picture?" I said, "As long as they look good, you can do what you'd like with the blue." I didn't like what she did with the blue, so she removed it and started over to do what I had originally asked for. At this point, I asked her again -- one nail green, then the next blue -- which she did as a base, and it looked great. Then she used the opposite color for my French tips, mixing blue and green on the same nail. At this point, I just sat there in silence, trying to process the confusion I was feeling. At no point during my appointment did I ever ask for blue and green to be on the same nail. Not once. To make things worse, my cuticles bled because she cut them too short. Throughout the appointment, Nivy made multiple unprofessional comments, including crude remarks about a president (whom I also dislike, but it was just vulgar and unnecessary). There were also several open bottles of alcohol around the salon. While there was a beverage cart with hard liquor -- which I didn't mind -- there were also opened bottles on the floor in a bag, an open container behind the sink, and used shot glasses sitting out on a shelf in plain sight. At that point, I just asked to pay and leave. I'm writing this review sitting on my couch crying. I had such an unpleasant experience and will not be returning -- nor will I recommend anyone go here.
