This company was hired by the HOA in my Brentwood condominium to work on a unit above my shower. One of his employees cut the main drain to make the repairs in the unit above and rotated the drain and caused the drain connection to pop out and completely severed the drain connection. An emergency plumber shows up and removes the completely wet drywall on the ceiling in order to detect the problem. The main drain pipe was cut, rotated and dropped by several inches completely separating the drain from the shower connection. Here is the best part The owner shows up and looks at the ceiling and says whoever removed the ceiling caused the damage and walked out in less than 30 seconds. Several plumbers have looked at this and have all come to the same conclusion. I will post an update in a couple of months once my lawyer is done with him. Edit. Mr Paul if you didn't run out of my condo I would have shown you the video of your employee cutting the pipe, the video of the emergency plumber cutting the ceiling drywall and exposing the damage. I also video taped your visit and your comments that the person cutting the drywall caused the damage. You mention it's insurance fraud. Let's assume someone cut the ceiling and dislodge the drain connection. How do you explain the fact that the main drain line was moved down by several inches. A complete re-piping of all my drain lines were completed my Paul and his staff. Here is what I think of their work and performance. I am a local firefighter in the county. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance to me. Truly, all around, this company not only strives for perfection. They hit their objectives and yield outstanding results. Their attention to detail was flawless. I had many plumbers bid on this very expensive job. Half of the plumbers that came out, wanted to do shortcuts. They would try to sell me on doing a task in a way that was the fastest(by basically cut a trench through the entirety of my foundation. Furthermore, it was the fastest for them, but made our foundation more vulnerable to cracking/offsetting and causing HUGE PROBLEMS later. The others were over the top salesman. At most, every plumber, other than Paul was out of my house within 5 minutes. Paul, on his initial visit was here for an hour. He was analyzing and surveying all the details of the home. He advised me that cutting a trench from the front to the back of the house was not a good idea. He advised me, "we live in Southern California, we have earthquakes". I laughed because, when I had said that to all the other plumbers, they laughed and said, it has not been a problem yet". My point: Paul wanted to provide the same quality of work on my house, as he would his own. For those of you out there who have had bids on your home, you can relate when I say...it was a breath of fresh air. That, "it may be harder, but let's do it right", is extremely difficult to find! He advised me that he would do trenchless re-piping in certain locations. He would undermine(dig a tunnel) from one drain to another. All of these were in attempts to make the least amount of impact on the foundation of my house. Which, is exactly what you want. I'm not saying that these options are available for everyone's home. Regardless, Paul will do everything in his power to uphold the integrity and longevity of your home. His staff showed up on time. They worked their butts off. Their communication was excellent. Anytime a problem occurred, they communicated with me. They talked about their plan to overcome and they did it. His entire team did everything they said they would do. They did not come across a problem, then tell me how much kore money it would be. Paul told me up front, "if you accept my price, you won't pay a penny more. If a problem happens, I will eat the cost. If a problem comes up, that cost me more than this entire job, I will eat the cost". Paul and his company held up to their promise. The crew cleaned up every day, before leaving. They asked if there was anything they could do to make the house more accommodating until their return. Paul was here for the entire last day, he came by to do a final run through before the inspector came. When things were going a little slower than planned, he added a couple more All Stars to the daily crew to keep the timeline. Additionally, this entire project was completed during the Covid crisis. Paul and EVERY SINGLE PERSON he sent our way, wore a mask, 100% of the time. I have learned a long time ago, don't put your stamp of approval on someone or something unless you know what you are getting/giving. Their representatives are expeditious in their response times, extremely courteous, and provide direct/clear correspondence with regard to available times and transparent pricing. I had a nasty clog in my shower drain, that backed up to over an inch of water, and selected City Plumbing and Rooter because of their excellent reviews and more than reasonable pricing (from the limited prices I saw online). The first representative called me to ensure that my original online message for an estimate was addressed, a second representative called to schedule an appointment and assure that I would be provided a courtesy call so that I could still work at the hospital up until a half hour before arrival, and finally I received a courtesy call to inform me that the plumbing technician would arrive at 4:30. He arrived 10 minutes early, which almost never happens these days. Kevin, who was about as considerate and personable as could be, was the technician, and after about 4-5 minutes, had the drain completed unclogged and walked me through what he did to the drain. First off they're are extremely professional and we're able to fix my problem in a jiffy. My shower and toilet were clogged and I had basically tried everything myself from a snake to chemicals and couldn't fix it. Paul arrived this morning to clear my kitchen sink clog. It ended up being farther in than he expected, but told me to check with my landlord & if ok, he would come back today with different, more aggressive equipment. I had called in 2 plumbers to the buisness that i work at to take a look at our bathroom as there was a funky odor coming out. So, our old "skool" water heater goes out and I decide to upgrade to a tankless unit. I purchased a tankless unit at Lowe's and decided to install it myself. As I get the old unit out, I see the pipes are shot and now know I need to call a Pro. The first plumber came out and wanted to repipe the house and sell me their brand of water heater. That's when I called City Plumbing for a second opinion. After a full day of working, Thomas showed up at my house at 7pm. He took a look and said repiping the whole house wasn't necessary and scheduled me for work the next day. Tough to make a call. Everything works as planned almost. I moved my schedule around for a morning appt. I had to put a deadline on the arrival time since the person had to complete a prior day assignment that morning (I had no input - so I put a deadline on the arrival time which was an hour later than originally agreed. I was two minutes from leaving when he arrived. Assignment involved installing new disposal unit and faucet, and was told about a leak. Also informed there might be a drain stoppage but didn't know for sure since old disposal unit was not working. Subsequently, following running dishwasher twice, same leak reappeared, then the drain backed up. So make another call and they offered next day between 3-5. I shudda known better. Very good at following up to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me, right up until 5, when rep said they would be there tomorrow. Problem, I'm not going to be. (Hint: suggest calling when person on the way. Otherwise, it doesn't add to anything.) So I sat home all afternoon waiting when I had pressing office matters that just gets added to tomorrow.
