Unclear instructions. Hard to figure out. Paying separately for washing, drying and laundry soap. Usually soap is included. Unclear that you use a different money slot for the soap located where you pay for the wash but the soap is dispensed in a different machine. Cash only although the site indicated credit cards were accepted. Mostly really hot wash cycles which to an American is not clear so be sure to choose the right temperature. Very clean laundromat- it's Germany, after all. So, our hotel charges 15 euro for a pair of jeans and the prices just got crazier from there. Needed to wash some clothes and saw this place on Yelp so we decided to check it out. Nice machines and a pretty quick process. It was empty when we came in but got busy by the time we left. They have two sizes of washing machines and then very large dryers. You pay 4.50 EU for a regular load and then 1 EU each for detergent and softener if you don't bring your own. The machines looked almost new. Then you move to very new looking dryers and pay 2 Eu for each 10 minutes. We did one large load and it took 30 minutes to dry. There was a guy around in case there was an issue but we had none. In just over an hour, we washed and dried all our clothes that we wore in the past week. Met a few nice people from around the world while we waited as well. An extra bonus. read more

All I can say is wow! While upon a European trip and needing to do some laundry (let's just say walking around in warm weather in socks and jeans gives clothes quite a stench) I searched for something near our hotel since laundry rooms at hotels in Europe aren't very common. Luckily this place was close by and the things on Yelp were true. 4€ for a load of wash and 1€ for 10min of drying. I am not sure what the commercial sized ones are. This place is VERY clean with working machines- I am impressed! In the US they are dirty as can be and half the machines are out of service with sketchy people hanging around. The machine to pay for your washer is on the back wall (it can give you change, you can pay by notes, coins and credit card). The instructions are pretty simple- pick setting and heat on YOUR machine and pay at the back machine. There are carts with wheels (enough for everyone), and even pinball machines if you're that bored. Everyone in here is as normal as can be and I even think there is an attendant on-site (the dry cleaning part is closed probably due to it being Whit Sunday- a Christian holiday of very similar importance to Christmas- I just found out). Totally out of clean clothes in Munich..its been killer hot.. We staying near the hoptbanhof station..found this on Yelp nearby...place is very clean..I bought laundry supplies at the local Eurostore..just like dollar store in America..... Wash is 4€..dry is 1€ for ten mins... The machines are in great order..place clean..but hot..no ac..I gave my leftover soaps and stuff to some other American tourists... The machines at first are daunting..A)..pick a washer or dyer they are numbered..B)load clothes and soap stuff C) machine on the wall takes money..put money in and push your number button..D)goto your machine and select your settings E) push the go button F) 30 mins later take your clothes out... My wife and I were staying at the Marriott a few blocks away. This is a Gem to find and the office manager was very friendly and helpful. She speaks English very well. Make sure you have cash on hand for the machines. Parking is a challenge if your driving there's only a few parking spots in front the business. read more

This "waschcenter" is about 2 blocks from our hotel Flemings near the Central Train Station. The facility is open from 7:00 am until midnight everyday, and they offer drop off service if you don't want to wait. In addition, they offer dry cleaning and shirt pressing in 24-hours. Supposedly they have a facility at the Central train center, too. Here's what you do: We picked a washing machine, loaded the clothes, remembered the machine number and go to the pay kiosk. The regular washing machines were €2,00 to wash (jumbo loading machine €4,00). The kiosk did provide change by pushing the red button on the top. Adjacent to the kiosk was laundry soap that dispense in a cup for €0,50. After paying, we went back to the machine to add soap, and selected the cleaning cycle. After the wash was complete, we used one of the blue containers provided to transfer the wet clothes to the drying room. Just like in the wash cycle, you select a dryer, pay the kiosk for the correct machine, return to the dryer and select the heat cycle. It's €1,00 for 10 minutes and it took 3 cycles to completely dry our clothes. No one likes to do laundry, but I did have a positive experience using this place. Now this place was cool. A lot of these laundromats charge you per item, but this guy charged us per load. Honestly, this is something that I would probably only expect to find in Asia, but we found it here, and he didn't charge us huge amounts of money to do our washing for us. In fact it was much better than using the hotel's laundry service (since they charge by the item), and he had them back in a pretty decent amount of time as well. This was a very interesting laundromat. I stopped in here, halfway through my trip in Europe. I had stopped by a different place in the city and they were rude and wouldn't let us in 2 hours prior to closing. I saw this one was 24 hours so we decided to give it a shot. Being that is laundromat is 24 hours is its best feature. The store isn't very clean, the woman working definitely wasn't nice, welcoming or informational, and the neighborhood left something to be desired. It was dark when we left and I felt the need to keep an eye out around me. The prices were a little high. It ended up costing about 8 Euros to do one load of laundry. They have a sign up above the washers with instructions of how to use it. If anyone asked the woman working a question she was very rude to them and pointed to the sign. The sign was in many languages but wasn't very descriptive. I felt bad for one man who basically was scolded for asking a question. There are plenty of Middle Eastern type restaurants around if you want to grab a bite while your washer is going. Parking can be a little difficult as there are a few one way streets in the area and there is only street parking. read more

After 2 weeks of traveling I had 2 loads of laundry to clean. City SB was located near the Le Meridian Hotel and the reviews were good so I brought my 2 bags of clothes to use their laundry service. The woman told me it would cost 40 euro. I thought it seemed pretty steep for 2 loads of laundry. I was tired and didn't want to wash clothes myself but did it against my better judgement of paying that much for laundry service. After the clothes had been washed, I opened the bags of clothes and noticed the clothes were clean but that's it. I was super annoyed to find that any piece of clothing that were inside out, were left inside out. I have kids so there were A LOT of inside out pieces. Also, the folding of clothes was awful. I literally had to refold everything and pair socks myself. I would recommend using their facilities to do laundry yourself but stay away from using their launder service, you'll wish you had done it yourself! read more

Not only was it clean and kept up very nicely, the staff person (probably the owner because she knew exactly what we needed) went above and beyond to help us. I was staying near the Munich Central Station at Fleming's Hotel and needed to do some laundry as I was halfway through my Europe trip. This laundromat was about a five minutes walk from my hotel. I went at around 9pm and there were only two other people washing their clothes. They have English instructions on how to use the washer and dryer and it was pretty easy to follow. The machine to pay for your wash and dry does give change so don't worry about having to carry exact change. The laundromat closes at 11pm and it's not 24 hours as other reviews say. If you want them to do your laundry while you're exploring Munich, you have to go before 7pm to drop it off or else you'll have to wait the next day. read more

I had laundry to do for 7 people while traveling and have been to many laundromats throughout Europe and this one stands out as one of the most efficient, clean, and easy to use. The machine took bills and gave change. There are instructions in German, Arabic, and English. The cost was similar to all laundromats I've been to recently: 4 Euro to wash and 1 euro for 10 minutes of drying. Use the hottest setting on the dryers - I usually avoid the hottest setting because it scorches the clothes but these dryers were hot but not burning hot! The only reason we came to this laundromat was the fact it was open 24 hours. Other than needing to do laundry I would not have ventured into this area. The staff were not very helpful and the inside was hot and dirty. There are not enough places to sit for customers. The washing machines are fairly priced but I do think the dryers are a little over priced. I would probably not come back to this laundromat if I was ever in Munich again. Our hotel Mirabel was a block away and told us about this self serve wash center. Very clean and friendly. I over paid for the dryer time and management was quick and friendly to make the refund. There was someone there who spoke English fluently. While we were there they were running the empty machine with soap and rinse. Our traveling friends used the facility the day before and raved about it. We have travel 15,000 miles across the USA in RV's and this was as nice as any laundromat we found. Great job! read more

A great spot to do laundry while in the midst of your European travels. This laundromat was bright and clean, and seemed to be well used by travelers and locals alike. There are 18 washing machines, all in good working order, and a back room with a dozen large dryers. Washing is €4 for a smaller machine and €8 for a large machine. The large is quite big, with more capacity than a typical home washing machine. The dryers are large as well and cost €1 for 10 minutes, and you can add as many 10 minute increments as needed. Instructions are conveniently provided above the machines in English, German, and Arabic. There is a more costly drop off service option if you don't feel like waiting around (and have the extra euros to spend), as well as a dry cleaning service. Definitely a super handy spot to wash your clothes, especially if you're staying anywhere near the rail station. read more

I didn't interact with any of the staff, so I can't comment on their friendliness. Price to wash was €4 for a regular size machine and €8 for the large machine. Drying was €1 for 10 minutes. You pay at the little machine in the back right hand corner by the washing machines, and it takes coins all the way up to €20 notes. In Munich for three weeks for work. This place is awesome. Read some of the reviews and glad I trusted the positive ones. The ability to drop laundry off and have is cleaned the same day has been a life saver. You can pay extra for items (like shirts) to be pressed. Otherwise, for €20 you get them washed, dried, and folded. No military precision on the folding, but I was fine with that. I feel some people are forgetting that €20 is also covering the opportunity cost of you not having to wait for wading and dryer to be complete. read more

A great alternative to expensive hotel washing - we're in Europe for a month and need to do laundry a few times. While the neighborhood is a little sketch this place is very good. 4 euro for a wash 1 euro for every 10 minutes of dry (20-30 min avg) you can also drop off for 15 euro for a wash/dry/fold if you want. The staff speaks enough English to answer your questions and help you out with the machines as needed. Waaaay better then hotel prices!!! read more

This place was great! Very clean, lots of machines. The black haired lady, the owner, was very kind and helpful. They have instructions in English, German, and Arabic. I went at 1030 on a weekday and no waiting. Was able to get three machines at one time. Same for the dryers. 4 euros to wash and 1 euro to dry for 10 minutes. Dryers don't run as hot as I'd like but they were far better than most I've used since being in Europe. They have powdered detergent for sale there and liquid fabric softener. They also have a coffee vending machine as well as a soda machine. This was a short walk from my hotel at the Marriott Courtyard. read more
