Located just steps from Earl Court station makes it accessible to all of London. There are plenty of maps and suggestions of places to see in the lobby. Close by there are markets where you can pick up fresh produce and decent wine. I'll come back and stay here every time I come to London.

Family run, it does dinner meals with a difference..for a fixed price you can eat as much you like from an a la carte menu. The choices are chinese, thai, malaysian and japanese cuisine. the food is prepared specially for you, and in personal portions. the waiting staff are sisters and maybe a brother or male cousin or two. They love people who love food. My sister is a prawn freak, so she worked her way through the various prawn selections again and again! She went away feeling very happy, sated, and determined to come back to brighton, and especially to the Jade. Anyone who enjoys good food will enjoy the Jade. To find the Jade, walk from the Brighton Pier up to the Clock tower and then up the walk until you get to Queens Park Road, keeping an eye open for the restaurant on your left hand side. I had been out in Alfriston for the day with the new boy and after a visit to the local gallery and a glorious walk through the Sussex countryside, we popped in her for a quick glass of red before heading home. The pub, like everything in the picturesque village of Alfriston, is old (14th century) and quaint. Think open fires, low wooded beams and lots of character. Wanting to make the most of the early spring sunshine we sat in the garden which is also beautiful. The service was reasonably friendly if a little brisk and the wine was decidedly average, but the surrounding more than made up for this. We bumped into friends that were having the Sunday roast and they also commented that they had waited a long time for the food and there was nothing special about it, I would like to try this for myself though before making a judgment, maybe something from the al la carte menu which look pretty tasty. I will be back and will happily update my review when I can judge the food for myself!

Please note that there are LOTS of narrow stairs to climb if you are staying on 3rd-4th floors. Of course, staff forewarns customers upon booking and on website as well. Butlin's Adults Weekenders are not for the faint of heart. Yes, I did steal that line from a…read moreFacebook group I belong to, but it is so true. While we may have atmospheres somewhat similar to Butlin's in the US (think a Disney resort but if it was on Chicago's Navy Pier, with a water park, and your favorite musical acts from the 70s-2010s performed... given the theme of the weekend), there really isn't anything that is really comparable. It is on the English Channel and the shingle beach is so interesting to explore! Located on the southern edge of Bognor Regis - a quaint and cute town in West Sussex - it was fairly easy to get to from London. Just 2 trains and a taxi ride from the Bognor train station. At Butlin's, I stayed in the Shoreline Hotel, which is geared toward kids with it's nautical theme. The view was not bad (see photos); I enjoyed being able to see the shoreline as well as the park. Overall, it has a much newer vibe than the Minehead location that I visited in October 2022. The hotel and facilities were extremely clean (per my standards; which, as an American, are apparently quite low). The bath/shower was unexpectedly large and the bath was huge - so much larger than what I am accustomed to. There is a mini fridge in the room and plenty of space to unpack and make yourself comfortable. The "kids" room was fun, with a bunk bed, little tv, and even a disco light! The beds were comfortable and the linens were very clean. I had a package delivered during my stay, I am sure that is out of the ordinary. Angela at Shoreline reception ensure I received it prior to the concert so I could possibly have my favorite band sign the item I purchased (and they did!!!) :D She was really a star!! Recommend for adult weekenders.... will be back in 2025!

Our 2 bedroom apartment was billed as "brand new silver seas". The only thing that might have been new was our toilet. Some of the sections don't even provide a basic bath towel. The food options on premise are on par with the hospital style cafeteria crap quality. Brand name fast food is the secondary food source. The place is run down in almost all the areas. I am not reviewing the arcade or pool stuff- just the rooms and the fact you have to pay to stay here to see the bands as they don't offer day passes so you can stay elsewhere So unless there are several bands it's not worth coming to this dump.

Good job I'm just too darn dog tired to eat anyway. It looks a bit too Banjos and no teeth to me from it's closed exterior. My room is clean and as I throw open the curtains of my stuffy, not recently occupied dwellings, there are bunny rabbits hopping about outside my window. What a nice touch! Really, just some conditioner and some extra towels would have been fine. There is an evensong cacophony of birds and beastly motorcars haring down the road nearby, so for a restful nights sleep I think I'll just close the windows. Overall it seems there's nothing Norman Batesy about this place at all. I'll probably sleep well. Perhaps I'll review the vending machine breakfast in the morning.
