Sadly cannot recommend... Bought a 2nd hand Kia and was quite happy with the car overall. Thought to give Kia the brand a go, and thought to start with a 2nd hand, so will see how we feel about it, and turned out the car was quite decent, and changed my view on KiA as a brand for sure. there were some interesting attributes to the car, but separate review on KiA Cars. The buying experience with Citygate KiA Slough however, was sub-par and essentially stressful experience. I'd be clear, the initial "sales" and "payment" was very smooth, but everything else was less so. Bought the car and was promised a delivery within 2 days, however on the day, I realised I heard nothing from them, and when I called around 4pm, they said the car was not ready. Was then promised the car will be ready in another 2 days, took a day off to take delivery and on the way when I called, it turned out the sales rep was not in and the status of my car was not immediately known. Was then promised a delivery again the next day, however had to actively call up the next day again to find out if the car will come. All in all, the car eventually arrived, however the items promised (ie swapped front tyres, and touch up paint) were not provided. The paint did eventually after follow up again, but tyres remained. When I initially flagged that I want the tyres swapped for the car, the rep said "will make sure you are happy, and will even tell you how to complain if you're not satisfied", and when I emailed to confirm, I got a reply "leave it with me". However ultimately was not done and was just told they meet KiA standard of 3mm - which they certainly did (I also repeatedly asked about the tyres every call, and was told if I was promised it's fine). The auto swipers and auto dim mirrors didn't work, and when I emailed was told to contact my local Kia to deal with. I was also promised the car's photos to be emailed to me, however had to follow up for 3 weeks, and eventually suggest I'd feed back to KiA direct before I got a "screen capture" photo, at which point I can't be bothered to follow up again. During the sales, the sales rep said the car only came in for less than 30 days, however we knew/checked that the MOT expired for over 6 months already, so that was suspicious, but I won't be able to verify so will let that go. All in all, my personal experience above (can't agree with others, but my experience was not great). In reflection, not a single commitment was honoured to the quality I expected. To that I can not recommend. At one point, I was honestly thinking did I get scammed of my money, and even now I still think I'm out of pocket in the tyres or the broken swipers, mirror, which I expected them to be fixed before hand. Need to find time to visit a Kia close by. Disclaimer. The car is still under warranty, so I can still fix the mirror and swipers with a local dealer. The location used to be Marshalls Volvo for those with long memories. Thankfully Marshalls closed down and lost the franchise as they were awful because each time my Volvo went for a service they broke something or missed something out they should have checked. So when Citygate Kia opened my concern is that some of those old slapdash Volvo technicians are now working on Kia cars. The showroom is very old and it shows compared with modern Kia locations such as GWR Kia on the Great West Road. Being small means they have a limited number of new cars in the showroom and a limited number of used ones outside. Unless you live in Slough or they are offering you an exceptional deal on the purchase price there are better Kia experiences elsewhere. Speaking of locations that whole area looks tired and run down, ICI Paints are gone, Altwood BMW adjacent and Ford are also long gone, environment could definitely be spruced up. read more

Best to avoid this dealer. Though I would give Kia a try, expecially has it have 3 years of warranty left. Car was pretty decent, Better than Nissan, not quite as good and Toyota or Honda ( but not far off). I was sold a service package, and was not told that it could only be used at Kia Slough, and not the Kia dealer near me Second service. They my locking wheel nuts go missing. Caught them on dashcam working on the tyre. If my locking wheel nuts where not there how could they work on my tyres. They said they emailed me about this. I advised them that I don't check my private emails until I get home from work. 30 years of driving and having my cars serviced by the dealers I have never lost the locking wheel nuts. I have always left them with the service book in the glove box. Easy to find, but out of sight. They said they had a spare set they used. When I went back and asked them for serial number of correct locking nut, they could not advise number... But you advised you kept spares. Had to go to regional manager, as dealer manager just ignored my emails and phone calls. Also, had to make multiple trips re parcel shelf door screw. Was told Kia part would not be available. Found similar on Amazon. The eventually fitted without charge to me. The guy on reception kept fobbing me off, he was always moaning about how overworked he is. Also, had to make multiple trips regarding this. In the end settled for settlement with wind deflector Had to break the old locking wheel nuts and replace with set bought in Halfords. Must have spent at leat £50.00 in petrol with multiple trips and taking time of work to take car to them. read more
