I would like to leave a great review for City Way, especially for the maintenance crew who take care of the apartments. Paul and Simon are absolutely amazing. Whenever something needs to be done, they get it done quickly and efficiently. One time, I called City Way because I didn't know how to use the AC. Paul came right away, set everything up for me, replaced the filter, and even asked if there was anything else I needed. That really meant a lot. Every time I call, they send someone promptly, and the service is always excellent. Paul and Simon are truly the best part of City Way. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!! This place is hell, I lived here for almost 2 years and had everything go wrong. The dog shit in the hallways and the customer service. EVERYTIME I HAD AN ISSUE NOTHING WAS RESOLVED UNLESS I WENT STRAIGHT TO Matthew. They got this dude at the front desk who's mute so you have to go straight to the source. This is easily the most dirty, loud, poorly made, greedy and unprofessional place I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not live here. All they want is to take your money. They pride themselves on being a luxury apartment and that couldn't be further from the truth. I had to purchase my apartment site unseen and they never even told me that I would be paying $2,000 a month to live next to a trash shoot. There are a plethora of terrible things I could say about this establishment. Between the trash, the smell, the dog feces in the hallway and the elevator, noise from neighbors and the train, the price for parking and the fees they tack on the end of your lease for the things that were "free" for the first month of living there. I would offer this residence 0 stars if I could. I moved in to a unit that was not move in ready. Multiple things were broken and the apartment was excessively filthy. I noted all things on the move in inspection and put in maintenance requests. It was been over a month with no repairs and no updated timeline of repairs and nothing for the inconvenience. My unit was not painted properly and after 1 month of living here, I was offered to come to the leasing office with an empty jar to collect paint and paint it my self. This is far from a luxury apartment and it's price should be lowered significantly to reflect its quality. I do not recommend! read more

I've lived at CityWay 2 separate times and have loved my experience here. Everything I need or like to do is a short walk or quick drive away. Front office people are always friendly and ready to help. The maintenance crew are great dudes and keep the place sharp and clean year round. We enjoy living here for the most part, but here's a few things I wish I would've asked for more clarity on before spending extra to live here, versus other places. I'm not suggesting you skip living here, Im just going to mention all the things that drive me a little crazy, so you're prepared and less bothered! Ready? Go! Let's chat pelotons first, because it was a big reason we chose to stay here this summer. I have a toddler, so getting somewhere else to work out is harder than it used to be. I finally made it to the gym and there are only cages for sneakers, no peloton shoe clip-ins. Fantastic. Also...I've seen cleaner gyms at hotels, but they're nice to have on site, and have most of what you'd need. The rooftop you may come across in photos? Oh darn, only certain people have access. In order to get into the parking lot you have basically lay the card flat on the reader. Don't get too far away! My fob doesn't always open the door to my building, which hasn't been a huge issue. I'll sit and fight with it a while and the door will finally open. Today it wouldn't open the pool door, and I finally just decided to go in and ask if they could recalibrate it or something. She walked to a close-by door and it worked (as it does 95% of the time) and said it works! Haahahaha thank you! She then instructed me that you need to lay it flush against the reader to get it to work every time. So don't be in a rush to get anywhere I guess! And if you have kids like I do... idk hahahaha grow more hands. Overall, happy we have a 3 month lease as we're only here for work, but hope those little details get shored up and we can get a place here if we're sent back again. It does seem like they try to organize a lot of things for the residents which is nice. And when we first moved in they had a handyman come in and fix all the things I listed on my move-in sheet, that was nice. read more

I've lived at CityWay for 2.5 years and counting. My favorite things are the proximity to the YMCA, the community garden, and the regular resident events. The amenities are so extensive from a gym with pelotons to a dog wash station to the sports simulator. Price and value of a unit is similar to other downtown apartments (Artistry, The Grid, Congress at Lib Square, Ardmore); however, I think CityWay's amenities and proximity to Fountain Square outshine the other complexes. CityWay is right on the cultural trail. If you're a light sleeper, please consider your unit's proximity to the train. For resident events, we often engage with local businesses like Taxman, Nesso, Plat 99, Java House, IndyHub, the Colts. Living at CityWay comes with discounts to many local businesses. Maintenance and office staff usually reply same-day and certainly within a couple days. The maintenance staff is friendly and even knows my pet's name. If you're a Lilly employee, the access to parking at LCC is fantastic. CityWay is the perfect location to host friends before Colts or Pacers games. My advice before choosing a unit is to look at your closest parking. Some buildings have parking underneath, attached, or you may have to walk outside to your garage. The package room is secure. Having immediate access to Qdoba, Yolk, and The Alexander is great. CityWay has a variety of balcony sizes if outdoor living is important to you, and the building have 40 different floor plans to suit your needs. read more

Avoid living in this apartment complex at all costs. You will hear noise throughout the night, you will have trash in your hallways and throughout the community. You will pay $150 a month to park only to come home to your reserved spot being used by another vehicle (then you will not have tow privileges). You will be charged hidden fees. You will have sewage smells pass through your air vents. You will ask the office staff for help with the inevitable issues and instead of finding ways to make you feel heard and help your comfort in the home you pay top dollar for; they will say "I understand your concern but ______ ". Once you are locked into a lease you are at their mercy. Proceed with caution. read more

If you are going to spend time in your apartment consider elsewhere. The alarm goes off almost every week for no reason. It's so loud you can't do anything. Don't try WFH. When that's not happening there was construction under me going till 3am. Also the parking situation sucks. It costs 150$ a month to park here and there's never parking. People will just park in your spot. And to combat this, they just threw random cones out in the lot for you to place in your spot when you leave. Also the spots are small and surrounded my concrete poles so good luck not scratch your car. Good luck if there's a sporting event that week too bc you're out of luck. It's expensive and looks nice but what you get is absolutely not worth it. I write this as the alarm is blaring for the past 10 minutes (I wish I was exaggerating half of a tv show has passed, not that I hear it) for the second time today. Enjoy I don't review thing bc I'm lazy and once it asks me to download this app I'm immediately deterred but this time I'm that unhappy that I'll download this dumb app and leave an honest review. We love living here. We live in the Tower with INCREDIBLE VIEWS. It's kept clean and the location is amazing (walking distance to so many things, including mass ave where we lived before, and you get discounts at a lot of the local restaurants). Parking garage is expensive but a great perk to always have covered parking, even with frequent events I've never not had a spot to park. Two pools & gyms is cool, but both are very small and often busy. Amenities overall are great for an apartment - just wish the golf simulator would be fixed to be more accurate. The tower roof lounge is AMAZING and not generally very busy, though $1500 for one night to rent it privately is way too much. Staff is friendly & helpful, though they don't answer the resident phone line so I have to call through the "looking to rent" line lol. Rent cost isn't cheap, but it's not outrageous and seems worth the benefits (though all apartments are too expensive these days & "pet rent" is sort of ridiculous in my opinion). Lots of Pacers players live here which is cool to see. Love having a package room downstairs, but ours in the tower has been broken for almost a year and makes a terrible beeping noise constantly. But points for being able to send mail right by our mailbox and the Tide dry cleaner lockers on site. Peloton bikes in the gym is cool + a free squat rack/bench press, stair master, etc. Showers are AMAZING and large. Appliances are nice. Only major downside has been a mice problem even high up in the tower. Maintenance provided mouse traps but that was it, so we had to tape up the hole we think they're coming through but we haven't had any since the tape. Would also love if they had someone come out and clean the outside of the windows in the tower since we obviously can't get to those. Overall would 10/10 recommend City Way!! read more

I've lived in downtown Indianapolis for over three years now, and I'm feeling the itch for something new. I've loved my apartment but I'm ready for new amenities, and City Way came up on my searches and had pretty much everything I was looking for, so I contacted them through email and made up my mind to visit them on a Saturday morning. I originally was looking at the 1BR apartments, but once I saw how small they were, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. I've got 1,200 sq ft now, and going to something around the 800 sq ft size just wouldn't work for me. I decided to go back the next weekend and look at the 2BR apartments, and fell in love with the Cobalt unit. Jon C will be moving to City Way once his lease is up. Why, you ask? Okay, it's partly because of the amenities. Salt water pool, garage parking (for $150 per month), room service from the Alexander, and a Qdoba downstairs. Winner, winner chicken dinner. Throw in a fairly open floor plan and now you're talking my language. I can't wait to move here. The staff that I've been working with has been fantastic, answering my endless questions and learning just how insanely picky I can be. I'm finding it hard not to start packing now! read more

With a couple of friends who live here and having stayed over a few times, I feel I've experienced the place at varying times of morning, day and night and can give an impartial assessment. Not typically a fan of new construction, I will still give them props for creating something new/fresh/different here. I guess it's what you'd call hip and trendy with the exposed ducts/ brick walls/ wood floors and such. It definitely exudes a new sort of urban, recently emerging in Indy and I dig it. More than anything, I love the views (my friends live facing Delaware on the 4th and 5th floors). A previous reviewer was completely negative about the train sounds, but to me, it adds to the charm and experience of the place. You want to live in silence, move to the woods. You want to live in the city, it makes sounds, has smells and...accessibility and views. While the Pacers were in the playoffs, it was easy to walk a block up and watch players practicing shooting 3's and over to a nearby bar to catch the joy and spirit of a city teeming with pride. The post-victory views from the balcony were also inspiring, as is the view looking west towards the city--partaking in a personal game of naming the various buildings from this heretofore unknown vantage point. The place is clean (well, ok, it is brand new), quiet internally and has lots of bike parking and a fro-yo and Qdoba downstairs, in addition to The Alexander, Cerulean and Plat 99. I enjoy my time here, as do my friends. I think it's adding an awesome new dimension to downtown and is one of many pieces of the "Making Indy More Awesome" puzzle. read more

My son recently moved from Indianapolis to Wisconsin. We hired Two Men and a Truck to do the heavy lifting. While I was waiting for the truck to arrive, I parked near the closest door to my son's apartment and went in to pick up boxes and take the small items to my car. My son called City Way main office and they said that I could park approximately a quarter mile away in the "new tenant" parking. I'm 65 years old, with a handicapped placard for my car. I'm not carrying boxes a quarter mile away to my car. I packed the car with several boxes and went in for a few more items and came out to greet the moving truck and found TWO parking tickets in my windshield! In less than 10 minutes someone had printed a ticket and left! The truck arrived and parked exactly where I had been, (my car was full of boxes, so I moved it to the handicapped area). I stayed outside and guarded the truck while the men went in to gather the furniture. 30 minutes later the movers were loaded and I was freezing standing outside watching for bothersome ticket makers! With all the construction that is happening around those apartments, it's really not a great location! Be very careful if you should move there! WATCH FOR THE TICKET MAKERS!!! read more

This apartment complex is a scam. Period point blank. Not only are they charging outrageous prices for apartments the size of a hamster cage, the apartments themselves are poorly taken care of. I live in a one-bedroom; however, it's basically a studio. It's only called a one-bedroom because my bedroom door slides closed. I've had numerous maintenance issues the past 2 years that I've been here. I can't tell you how many times my laundry room door has completely fallen off the hinge. First of all, safety problem. Second of all, they just kept popping the door back in instead of being vigilant and realizing the hinge was bent, thus causing the door to continue to pop out. After a year and NUMEROUS maintenance requests, they finally got in their heads and replaced the hinge. That's not even the worst part. My kitchen sink has been having drainage issues for the past four months. I've at least sent 10 or more maintenance requests about it. 1. THEY LIED AND SAID THEIR CONTRACTORS HAVE BEEN TO MY APARTMENT WHEN THEY HAVENT! So they're sending me emails saying my request was completed WHEN NO ONE STEPPED FOOT IN MY APT. The lovely contractor today told me that one of the maintenance men told him he's been in this apartment. He stepped foot in my apartment and confirmed he's never been in this apartment or seen me. I confirmed the same. 2. He told me that this could've been an easy fix. They needed to get a vent to allow air between the kitchen sink and dishwasher. They could get it from Lowe's for $10 and it would take 10 minutes. Did they do any of that? No. They lied about even checking my sink out and put off fixing it for four months. That's just wonderful because who needs a kitchen sink??? Also, they had a roach infestation on the entire fourth floor of the apt. complex 307. They lied about coming to spray my apartment TWICE. They also refused to give any of us discounts. Lastly, parking. Parking has always been an issue. They charge us $150 a month to park in the garages. HA little do we know, they're charging others to park in our garage for any event. So not only are we having to pay $150/month, there's always a possibility that we won't even be able to even get a spot in the garage. Why am I paying $150 then? Also. It was brought to my attention that they easily make 1 million dollars off of parking a year. Why are you raising our rent to extreme prices when you obviously have more than enough money??? It's ridiculous. I thought this apartment would be a perfect fit. Great location. Great amenities. HA! What a joke. I pay $1253 in rent plus $150 in parking and all I get is broken down appliances and no help from maintenance. I try to be patient and professional, but I would be doing a disfavor to other people thinking of living here if I didn't reveal the truth. CityWay is here to make money. They don't care about their residents. Period. And CityWay, please don't comment on this asking me to call and chitchat to figure out a solution. You have never given me a solution. You guys are solely here to be greedy and make money off of young adults. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The leasing staff and maintenance staff are all very kind and generous people. They do their best to help you out however, there are so many bullshit hidden charges and fees. I dropped my keys and the door locked behind me and I had to have maintenance come and open the door. They charged me 50 DOLLARS TO OPEN A DOOR SO I CAN GET MY KEYS. It was 1:30 AM and it was 12 degrees and they charged me to get in my house so I could get my sick dog into the warmth. Once i told them this was preposterous, they didn't change and said they would continue to charge me for it. Again, if you want somewhere that cares about you when it's cold and you're in need, go somewhere else because CITYWAY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS RESIDENTS. read more

I chose to live here because I love the location downtown. I had a top floor unit and this came with 2 balconies with unbeatable views. Regular pot smokers in my building otherwise no real complaints from other tenants-occasional barking dog but to be expected with pets allowed. My move out process was unpleasant to say the least. Painters entered my unit while I was still under lease. I came in to clean and get remaining items to find them painting. They called someone on speaker to get my things (unprofessional) and told me to go to maintenance (no apology offered). I decided to go to the main office to resolve the issue. Essentially-no one really took responsibility (painter, maintenance, leasing office) and although some semblance of apologies were offered by the front office, they were not reflective of the violation of leasing policy of entering my unit without permission aside from removing my personal items (which by the way some were already in the dumpster by the time I got there). I understand mistakes happen (though I would think this would be a clear system by now for moving folks out) but I would expect this to be handled with more sensitivity (I.e., you made a mistake, I did not, so do not treat me as though I am in the wrong) and frankly professionalism. There's a lot of competition for places to live downtown-these types of things would be deal breakers for me. I lived there for 9 months-I had more maintenance issues than I have ever had since living in apartments since 2008. Often it took more than one contact on my end to get matters resolved. This includes mold on Windows (they are aluminum so apparently this is normal), dryer and fridge issues. Again not that there were issues, but considering the cost to live there-would expect better service. Overall, I really enjoyed living here but the move out process left such a negative impression that I would recommend elsewhere which is unfortunate. This was the straw the broke the camels back (I could overlook all the maintenance but it's too much of a pattern now). read more

Stayed here this weekend. Thus us a perfect place to stay if you need to be downtown and won't be spraying long. I stayed in an inner apartment so there was absolutely no view. I dud hear the train but faintly. I thought it added to the charm. The location us awesome if you want to head out to eat, catch a game, or go to work. I think they could gave upgraded a bit on the fixtures, carpets, etc. it felt like a hotel room with a kitchen. Overall, I would stay here again. The location us the biggest asset and they just put a qdoba in out front. Not sure I would live here permanently. read more

The best part of the place is the staff who work there - from Ashley & Chelsie in the office to Jason in maintenance, they're all great people. Yes, you can hear the trains - my apartment over looked the train tracks so I'm guessing I had it as loud as it could be - but after a while I got used to them. This is more than just apartments. This is a great place for fun events. If you can manage to squeeze in to a Kickin' It In the Kitchen, do it! The head bartender from Plat 99 will teach you how to make a cocktail. The head chef of Plat 99 will teach you how to cook fabulous dishes. It is quite the tasty lesson! Cityway is a great event space - as proven last night by Merry & Bright. Hair stylists were set up next to market table. Plat 99 was serving delicious, festive cocktails and treats at Market Table as Time for Three played for a full-house. Upstairs, make up artists completed the festive look. The night was perfected capped with a warm green tea cocktail at Cerulean. There is a lot going on at Cityway - go check it out. read more

Went to visit a friend who lives there, and I was also looking into this place as I want to make a move to downtown Indy. The apartment was simply gorgeous, but I will not waste time talking about that as it is ALL trounced by only one negative factor this apartment had- TRAIN NOISE. This train noise is something you never heard before...it's metal on metal grind (trains brake in this area), and it is insanely loud. I think, and my friend confirms, that this is something that ruins quality of your life. Why? I spend the night there, these trains roll at all hours- one CANNOT sleep there...Let me put it this way, if you're watching TV on normal volume, once the train comes around, there is NO WAY you'll hear anything on TV. If you're outside on a balcony talking to somebody as train goes by, you will not be able to hear anything they say even if they're a 2 feet from you. I will stay away from this place, and I suggest you do the same. I simply cannot believe that they at least didn't try with some high quality windows to block the noise...Oh well.. KEEP OUT. Tiffany B, please do not give false impressions to potential tenants who do not know what to expect in terms of noise. I grew up in the downtown of a 3+ million people city, enjoy city noise as much as anyone else, but this is impossible to describe. Again, do not deceive people. Somebody on another webpage claims that the noise within apartments when the train comes by (windows closed) is about 80-85db. When windows are opened it exceeds 100db. Do you think this is normal? Charming? I urge those who come and check out these apartments to wait for the train to go by during their visit (it WILL go by every 15-30 minutes). I have lived here for a year now and will be renewing my lease. The staff has always been courteous and it is obvious that they try hard to create a community feel . My mom visited over the weekend and was very impressed by the property. She commented several times about how well the grounds were maintained and the overall cleanliness of the common areas, hallways, pool, etc. It helped remind me that I may have come to take these things for granted. The train is quite annoying, but the location is great for access to all the downtown restaurants and shopping. read more

So, I've been living here for about a year and a half now, and I love this place! I have read a few other reviews and I figured I would chime in... As far as downtown living goes, CityWay is the best. Our amenities are great and I love being able to walk anywhere and everywhere. My unit is completely amazing and brand new and the price reflects market value for a luxury downtown apartment. The leasing staff is super helpful. Ashley, Chelsie, Laura and Hayley take care of all my needs. Jason, Jason and Doug in maintenance can get everything fixed within a matter of hours. Yes, I do have to pay extra for parking, but the garage is great and safe and keeps my car from our sometimes horrible weather. Totally worth it. I also love living super close to the Alexander amenities. Have you been to Yolk or Platt 99 yet? Yep, I live right next door. I saw the reviews on the train and have to voice my opinion on this... Yeah, I can hear trains. But, this is downtown living and I expect to hear city noises every now and then. There isn't a place downtown where you will get complete silence every minute. If you think you would be bothered by the train noise, give yourself a week. You'll get used to it and you won't even notice it anymore. I think it took me a whole 2 days... If you are looking for a place to rent downtown, make sure to put CityWay on your list. You'll be glad you checked it out! read more

I have lived at CityWay for nearly two years and have been incredibly satisfied with all facets of the community. You simply cannot beat CtiyWay's location, amenities, service and events. I live as close to the train tracks as you can possibly get, and I was able to adjust to the noise in a matter of weeks. I don't even notice the trains anymore and I've never lost sleep because of them. Watching CityWay transform over the last two years has been a lot of fun. If you choose to live here, be sure to take advantage of all the community events and on-site amenities. The finishes are top notch from the kitchen to the floors to the appliances. Yes, there are trains, but honestly I got used to it and it didn't bother me at all. A new job took me from downtown to Carmel, but I would recommend City Way to anyone looking for a safe, updated, and very awesome location! Hello guys, My name is Borja, I have been living here since February and I want to share my living period over here at Cityway. First of all, the staff members from Cityway are the best! I got in touch with them via email, from United Kingdom, it was a long process but at the same time it was worth it. They helped me out with the apartment in all senses. They explained to me everything about Cityway (Apartments, amenities, prices, etc.) Then, I took the apartment off the market and I came here to start a new life. Moving somewhere is not as easy as you like and even less when you are going somewhere where you know nobody. So I came here and they hosted me as a family. Once I got in my apartment, they recommended me restaurants, bars, etc. They also gave me the phone numbers of the companies that runs the electricity and the internet. Everytime I had to print off any documents, pay my rent, using internet or having assistance with any indications they were there for me. Even when you were a bit bored, you could just come down the office and have a conversation with them because they were always open to keep their neighbours happy. Apart from all that, the residences at Cityway are an almost brand new apartments, quite convenient to live at because the area they are located at. Right on downtown, you could go anywhere walking. At Cityway, they got a swimming pool, gym, a common room where you could access to Internet or chill out, a theatre, parking and the maintenance team. The maintenance team is really important, they help you out everytime you had any issue at home giving you assistance. Jason, from maintenence, was always open to help with that, and I really appreciate it! I wanna appreciate all the help I had to Ashley, Laura, Chelsie and Justeen as well.
