It thrilled me to my bones, so it did. Not only that, but Bungalow's do a tasty hot chocolate for 65p - not bad considering you'd pay 3 pounds up the town! Not only that, but this modest, small cafe does cheap and cheerful morning rolls, some lunchtime snacks and an assortment of old fashioned sweets. It's quite dinky on the inside but ideal if you're taking away or just stopping by for a brew. Which I did, and enjoyed it. It's not open very late during the week but it's great if you're looking for a spot of simple breakfast before your busy day ahead, or a pit stop for a snack. 30p for a brew - as Mrs Doyle from Father Tea would say, "Go on, go on, go on..."

Sandwiches can be made up on normal bread, baguettes, paninis, I tend to go with a baguette as I love how much salad they stuff on in there for you. Makes my sandwich feel quite healthy and definitely a cut above what I would usually end up with if I made a sandwich at home. The staff in the shop are very friendly and welcoming and chat away whilst making your order. The prices are very reasonable, I picked up 3 large baguettes, 3 soups and a cake for just under £12 last week and we all ended up with happy, full tummies. They often have a lunch deal on the go and they have some yummy baked goods for sale too, the empire biscuits and huge and yummy :)

Lots of people dropping in and out from the offices opposite and, listening to the conversations, they were regular customers. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy shop and free newspapers for 'eating in' customers like me. There are only 4 bar stools at the window counters and on a sunny day it does get very hot while you eat (that doesn't happen often in Glasgow). They did apologise but the drinks did still take an awfully long time to arrive. I've eaten dinners and lunches here before too and they're always nice, I particularly like their eggs benedict for a Sunday brunch, sat outside in the sun!

The layout makes the best use of the space available but sitting in can be quite cramped with tables and chairs close together. There isn't enough space to fold up a child's buggy, or put a wheelchair. The food itself is good quality and freshly made for reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and table service is provided.
