Don't know what happened to my old Review I wrote here, but this is one of my fave lunch spots. I used to work right around the corner & go here all the time. The Chef makes me a custom spicy sauce to go with my Spicy Chicken & Pork combo. LOVE the Char on the chicken. Very nice & the pork is tender & super flavorful. The sides are made with love. Stopped by here today because it's really close to my job. I decided to order the donkatsu and fried dumplings. I almost got the short ribs but maybe I will go back and try them. The service was really good and the guy who took my order was very nice. Food was made fresh And came out pretty quickly. The restaurant was very clean which I loved. There were a few ppl dining inside also. The donkatsu was good and crispy. It was a hair dry but nothing that the sauce didn't help with it. Only thing, I didn't get enough sauce for it. The fried rice is really plain and lacks flavor but I added soy sauce and I liked it paired with the katsu even tho it was plain. The dumplings were good. More flavor to them but they were puffy in the middle which was a lil different. The filing inside was delicious though and the dipping sauce was great. I think I would return again and try some other menu items to really get a feel for this place. My order was kind of basic tbh. But it wasn't bad for the price and convenience to my job. read more

What a great lunch. I had never been to this restaurant, and the cashier made a wonderful recommendation. I got the fried rice and the 2 meat combo meal, with a drink included. Both the beef and the spicy pork were amazing, and the fried rice was extremely delicious. Price was reasonable. The dining area was clean and elegant. I went to this place during the lunch rush with a couple of buddies. It was spectacular. Super hot and flavorful. Every component of the meal was delicious. The spicy chicken was just spicy enough, super juicy, and slightly sweet. A great accompaniment for the spicy pork bulgogi. This too was 5 star bulgogi. I've been to many high end Korean establishments that are great...but not as good as Cj's. The pickled cabbage was not very strong but was perfect to cleanse the palate. I think their potato salad is my favorite I've ever tried. It's FAST casual. I stress fast. They were swamped and were got our food in 7 minutes. The experience was so good that I went back 2 days later for carry out to verify if it was THAT good. Well...it was. I went in after work. It was slow with only one patron sitting. Staff was super nice and eager to take my order. Three people sprung into action to prepare my order. I watched them make my food fresh. Nothing reheated. Nothing was pre cooked. I ordered the same exact order as two days before and took it to my hotel to eat. It was the same level of spectacular I had already experienced. Consistency is key with me. I like knowing I can go get the same quality time after time after a long day at work. This place has the secret sauce. Both figuratively and literally. Bravo! read more

This place is absolutely delicious with great portions. I love bulgogi and grew up eating it and this place is by far the best I've had in the area. The Kimchi was amazing and wish I could get a jar of it. The pickled cabbage was tasty as well. Service was awesome. I wanted the Beef Bulgogi but made the mistake of ordering the Spicy Bulgogi, just assuming it was beef as well, despite the multiple signs directly in front of me. I realized mid order and they were nice enough to change the order for me even with the lunch rush. It was completely my mistake and they took care of it which I was very appreciative for! Food- For the price for a Bulgogi bowl ($12) I was pleasantly surprised by the portion of meat, taste (great char on the Bulgogi) and flavor. CJs...this is how you win a new loyal customer! ALSO note - he is discontinuing Miso soup with each order , and the prices are different/higher than current photos reflect. We got the Calbi ribs, the spicy chicken (not overly spicy) - and the dumplings. I know that's strange coming from a Korean person, but most bulgogi rings in as mediocre since the marinade is not that exciting to me. BUT consider me a convert. I will only go out of my way for bulgogi if it's from CJ's. It's superior here in every way, as the charred flavor adds so much depth in flavor. We've had the beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi and spicy chicken. The chicken is probably my least favorite but it's still very good, I'm just picky and the beef & spicy pork are that much better. What was once a well crafted plate of food, has become a sad meal. The meat was so salty and overly sweet I ended up throwing away half. (Had the combo bulgo beef and spicy pork) The pickled cabbage looks like the sh-- I throw away from prepping veggies. The teaspoon of potato salad is insulting small. The only saving grace was the fried rice. I don't even care they are discontinuing the free miso soup (which is also bs btw). Wait wait wait!!! There's a place around the corner from me making Japchae like they don't care about my waistline lol but that's OK I workout for that reason. I went here with my hubby got a late lunch. Our order: Japchae (with beef) Bulgogi (plate) Kimchi (they came with miso soup) The Japchae was so so yummy. The noods and sauce made my day. I loved the in house kimchi, it had diakon radish added and it added so much yummy crunch & flavor. Hubby thought the Bulgogi was 7/10 which for him is pretty good, he's a picky guy. The potato salad wasn't to his liking but in his defense my potato salad is his favorite. The miso was typical. Good end to the meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the menu. read more

I ordered the Japchae with spicy pork bulgogi and was disappointed not because of the taste of the food but more so the lack of portion. I ordered to go since it was my 1st time there yesterday. They give a big container but the food portion was filled less than half way of the container. For $15 they could at least fill the container half way. Beef was a bit dry, wish they had included more of the sauce which it is cooked in. Rice was fresher than at most restaurants. Didn't care for the side of cabbage. Based on food, would be 4 stars. Have to deduct one star for the price of $14. And another star for the fact that a drink is included for that price if you dine-in, but not if it's to-go. For that price, there is no reason for them not to include a styrofoam cup for a fountain beverage. read more

Ordering was easy, they did say it would take a few minutes as I saw them prepare the grille for my spicy pork! I got the spicy pork and fried dumplings. The spicy pork is delicious! It has some heat but it isn't overpowering, it didn't need the homemade soy sauce but it was fun to add to a few bites. The broccoli is crisp and fresh, the pickled cabbage was still crunchy and not too pickled. A great bite is with rice, spicy pork and the cabbage because you have all the flavor and a little crunch. The fried dumplings were good, very well stuffed with a crunch. I liked the soup, decent cubes of a tofu with some spinach and onion. If you like miso soup, this should satisfy you. This place rocked my lunch! I am always down for trying a brand new place, but I typically go in with low expectations! This place exceeded those expectations! The place is simply yet nicely decorated and makes for a very comfortable dining environment. It is also spotlessly clean in both the dining room and kitchen area, which is always comforting. I ordered the combination plate that came with chicken katsu and terriyaki chicken breast. Both were amazing and the teriyaki chicken had a real nice grill taste to it.
