I had a very large tree between my house and that of my neighbor - within about 4' of both houses. The roots were creating foundation problems for both of us, the large canopy extended over both houses, the tree had grown up tight in a corner of chain-link fence and gate, and the electric line to the house was in close proximity. CJ's was one of the services I called for an estimate. Chad came out, took the time to size up the situation, pointed out several things about the tree I was not aware of, gave me a verbal estimate and followed it up later in the day with a detailed estimate by email, along with proof of insurance coverage. I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, respect and courtesy. I got higher and lower estimates, but just felt more confident in Chad's knowledge and skill to remove the tree in such a tight space without damage to either house. The August rains delayed things a bit, but Chad and crew were here yesterday (9/12/22) on time and equipped with everything they needed. Four hours of steady work and the tree was down with no damage to either house, the fence, or the power line. They were meticulous about the clean-up. Everything was piled at the curb and a blower used to clear the entire area of my yard and that of my neighbor - literally not even a leaf or twig avoided ending up on the pile at the street. Chad also assisted with arrangements for the stump grinding (which had its own challenges with the tree having caused an adjacent sidewalk to rise on one side and rest on roots and part of the trunk) done later in the day. Chad and a crew with CJ'S Tress Service came out and did work on a house I bought. They cleared the old fence line of some trees, did all stump grinding and built my privacy fence. He came out of short notice, worked with my hectic timeline and got it all done in good time. They did a outstanding job, crew was very professional.
