Another one of my Groupon-motivated adventure ! My maltipoo was overdue for a full groom and since moving into a new town, I have been searching for a groomer that I want to take both of my dogs to. I had occasions when you tell the businesses that you are using a Groupon, their attitude change immensely - I get it, a lot would have been taken away by Groupon. But when I called and mention the Groupon while making the appointment, the lady I talked to was very courteous about it, which to me was already a good sign. As it turned out they have put up a Groupon to attract business for the lady's daughter Siarra to practice grooming. The mother and daughter duo listened to what I wanted and gave recommendation very professionally. My little pup was matted all over place, and I was upset that he would probably have to be spot shaved or shaved entirely. I told them I preferred the spot shave. While I was totally prepared to witness a ridiculous looking pup when I picked him up- they managed to save all that hair by heavily conditioning! I was ever so grateful that they went above and beyond to make this the best dog grooming experience I have ever had. My fur baby looked fabulous. Now I know where to go when he needs another grooming appointment! read more

They do a good job on grooming. However, the owner has poor communication and conflict resolution skills. I tried to resolve an issue with her, but she was defensive and even rude. After several emails back and forth, she became aggressive. I cannot recommend this business because of the owner's poor skills at working with customers. read more

CK9 is wonderful! What a relief to find such kind, gentle, knowledgable, positive, excellent groomers! We have an older arthritic long haired shepherd who hates being brushed because it hurts so she gets mats. CK9 to the rescue! And to top it off, doggie looks beautiful now! Like magic. I have taken my large, 11 year old labradoodle to CK9 twice and definitely plan on bringing him back whenever he needs to be groomed. Emma does an excellent job with him and allows him to take breaks when he needs to because of his arthritic hips. Bear is happy when he leaves and looks great. The price is very reasonable and in my opinion well worth it. I would recommend Emma at CK9 again and again. read more

CK9 is just plain wonderful. We have been taking our dog Hubert there for 5 years and Heather has always cut his hair perfectly from day one. Their salon is clean, friendly and scheduling is a breeze. Hubert can have some separation anxiety but he always wags his tail and happily goes with Heather. It's nice to have the peace of mind that he is safe and happy there while getting made handsome. Our other dog Banjo doesn't need hair cuts, but he gets his nails done by Heather and she clearly has a gentle touch. He doesn't seem to mind! I can't recommend CK9 more!! After trying out a few different groomers and being disappointed we decided to give CK9 Pet Salon and Daycare a try after Bare Bones Dog Wash recommended them. We have an uncommon breed of dog and Heather has been fantastic to work with for getting her coat cut just right! One of the times we brought our pup in, her coat was in less than quality condition (frankly, was a mess. Her coat mats easily and she isn't a fan of grooming around the face and ears). Heather spent many, many hours on Mira, not only making sure her coat was healthy and clean, but also made her look great even with having to take a fair amount of length off (we've had some pretty uneven grooms at other places....)! What I have found most important however, is the quality of service provided by Heather and staff. Mira is pretty attached (maybe even exhibits some separation anxiety) to us and has come back from other grooming shops cowering and anxious. She has acted as if she wanted to get home and far away from the grooming shop. This has never been an issue when picking her up from a groom at CK9. In fact, our dog runs to the door every time we arrive there, whines at the little dog gate to go behind the counter and excitedly greets Heather! We liked this place so much that she has started going to doggy-daycare a couple days a week. She displays the same behavior every time we drop her off for daycare as well. This assures me she is getting good treatment there (unlike a previous experience elsewhere). This really says something as this dog is my shadow. Other than my partner, she is typically shy around other people and wants to be by my side, specifically. Whenever I drop her off at CK9, she pays no attention to me leaving and is happy to hangout at the facility with Heather and other staff. I am super picky about who takes care of our dogs and where Mira goes for grooming, so it was difficult to find a place I felt confident in. Not only do they treat our dog wonderfully, they have been really accommodating. I'm so glad Heather at CK9 was recommended to us! No complaints, only praise for CK9 Pet Salon and Daycare. read more

My dog, Sammy loves going to daycare at CK9. He gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot he starts trying to get out of the car before it's parked! From the parking lot to the building he pulls me all the way excited to see his favorite people (esp. Heather!) as well as his dog friends. I never worry when I'm at work because I know he is well taken care of and having a good time playing. Heather is professional and such a sweetheart! read more

I have been a customer of Heather's since she first became a groomer and was at Bare Bones. I never respond to reviews, but to say her resolution skills are poor is nonsense. She is hands down the best groomer in this area. My dog, a standard poodle, loves seeing her and she is able to handle his less than "gold star" behavior. Before taking him to Heather his old groomer would physically hold him down to groom him, and he would act out when trying to get him into the building. I cannot encourage you enough to take your dog to CK-9 if you want a positive experience, both in your encounters with the personnel and the grooming your dog will receive. Heather's dedication to dogs, wanted and loved or abandoned and in need of love, is commendable. She and Sarah will not disappoint you. read more

The "Tamster" (Tammy (???)) came in looking like she'd just been in the Mojave Desert for 3 years and then on a camping trip for 4 days to Eugene.... And so her adventures brought her to CK9. She now looks like a silk velvet animal thanks to the 2 wonderful women that took care of her. read more

After having several negative experiences with other groomers, I was nervous, but had to find someone as my Tucker was getting super scruffy. I was really pleased with Heather at CK9 Salon! The store is clean and comfortable and Heather was welcoming and friendly. In observing how she treated the dogs when I stopped by to make the appointment, I could see that she really loves her clients. When I brought Tucker in, she took the time to really understand what I wanted and when I returned to get him, he had the cut that I had asked for. He also seemed less stressed than he has with previous groomers. We will definitely be back! read more
