I was so shocked when they told me it would be £15 for one ear - I am used to paying £5 for both ears!! Anyway - seems we were there I couldn't help but have a quick nose around. Claire's has changed quite a lot since I was younger as they now stock quite a lot suitable for older 'children' - things like belly bars and quite nice styles of earrings. I also had a quick look at their wedding style bits - they seemed quite cheap in price, so maybe worth a look if your trying to do bridesmaids on a budget! I couldn't help but buy a bracelet and as I was paying I noticed they hadn't changed their old ways of trying to make me buy cheap nasty things at the till! This shop is situated in the Harpur Centre in Bedford. It's worth a look - even if you're not 10!

The staff are really helpfull and very friendly! If you want some advice or surgestions on what to buy they are always willing to help and seem to really enjoy their job, they know a lot about what they are selling. I went to Cambridge in the summer of 2005 and went to this place on a recommendation from a U.S. friend who had been there like, 5 years earlier. This store is like a U.S. Urban Outfitters but 39495859 times better. Very hip and stylish. The clothes are awesome and not too expensive either.

Cult Clothing's got a massive range of trendy fashions and labels - anything from surfie gear to…read morehoodies, glam going out clothes, clubwear, etc. It sells lots of popular brands - Bench, Mambo, etc. The staff can be pretty snooty and unfriendly (they're just too cool to smile) which might intimidate some shoppers and the clothes certainly aren't cheap. But if you want a trendy alternative to the Top Shops of this world, I would definitely recommend Cult. They have pretty good sales too!

This store sells a massive range of women's and men's fashions. The bottom floor does all sorts of women's fashions, from going out gear to office wear, while upstairs, you can find lots of menswear as well as more casual women's fashions, hoodies, etc. There's always a rainbow of colours to choose from and it's much cheaper than other high street chains like Top Shop and Miss Selfridge. I recently got a gorgeous mohair jumper from here and a fab cynching belt and it was at a fraction of what I'd pay in any other Cambridge fashion chain. There are always lots of accessories on sale at this store too - anything from cheap jewellery to hats, scarves, hair bands belts, sunglasses and funky fishnet tights in different colours and patterns.

What they claimed store policy had no logic behind it which had no flexibility, no consideration for the deem of good service to the customers. They didn't even help to call the customer service in store. The service there was terrible, unfriendly and unpleasant.

They stocked items which were more suited to general fitness or non regulation wear. I also found that most of what they sold was more geared towards very young children or adults, with nothing inbetween, however if that is that you are looking for then they are competitively priced and stock a reasonable range. This shop is not easy to find as it's not in Bedford town centre and I doubt many people would be able to tell you where it was! It's probably worth calling the shop before setting off to find out if they stock what you want.
