Got a vegan pasty and a vegan cider mushroom mini pie. Both were delicious! So happy to be told about this place!

Being an upmarket deli, you'll get lots of beautifully decorated food. You pay for it, but your paying for quality that feels deserved. I love the shop as well, floor to ceiling glass and brightly lit, Wally's oozes with metropolitan class. You great great service, with lovely staff. Put all those ingredients in a blender and you've got your self tasty metaphorical pie.

On the whole I was quite satisfied and impressed. The store is not as big as the original, nor does it have as much stock. This is for the better though, as it is ascetically pleasing, and I have often felt that the other store packs far too much in. A further difference is that this new store focuses far more on the sweeter things in life. There is a mouthwatering selection of handmade chocolates, a wide variety of old fashioned sweets, and some simply breathtaking gingerbread houses, which are already on my Christmas list for next year. They do sell some of the more savory products (though if that's what your after I'd head for their other store), including a rather nice selection of oils, which are far superior to anything you get in a supermarket. Finally the great thing about this store, is that it really makes a nice change from all the big brand names that dominate St David's 2. It's so nice to see an independent retailer doing so well, and I would truly encourage anyone to check out Wallys.

I'm more familiar with Bangkok Cafe and Thai Basil over in Canton, but I tried this Cathays establishment one evening when I was over at my friend's house nearby. From the outside, it doesn't look much, and could do with a bit of a facelift, but the food itself tasted pretty authentic and was obviously cooked fresh. I heard this take away has recently come under new ownership. While under the previous owners I heard that many dishes were a bit bland and didn't pack a punch like many Thai dishes ought to, my experience of this place was very good. The food was fragrant and tasty, reasonably priced and handed over by a very friendly Thai chap. Perhaps the new owner has made his mark and turned this place around? I hope so, because it's great to be able to get decent Thai food without having to splash out every time for a restaurant meal at Thai House (which is itself, by the way, exceptionally good if you're after a lovely sit down meal).

The dishes smell great due to the aromatic spice and most dishes can be cooked in a hot spice. Little baby fried sweet corn are delicious in a Thai food, with a good selection of vegetarian meals that are quickly cooked, this cannot be said of the meat dishes, which are cooked from fresh meat which means better taste but you will be waiting approximately 45minutes, but it's worth it. Traditional food at £6.50 a dish is fantastic as the food is out of this world. Bit disappointed on the cost of delivery though which can be from £3-5.

If you're on a tight budget but still want organic produce delivered to your door, Green Cuisine…read morenow offers a fruit and veg box for just £8.95 - which is one of the lowest price delivered veg boxes I know of. This is called the 'local box' and contains seasonal produce grown locally at farms in Wales and the borders. It usually contains on average about 7-10 items, but for those who want more veggies than this there are various bigger boxes available - right up to the largest £20 box which contains on average 16-22 items. Depending on your preferences, you can also opt for a box made up of 100% Vegetables, or a mix of 70% vegetables/30% fruit, a mix of 50% vegetables/50% fruit, or just 100% fruit. Then for those who dislike a particular fruit or veg, there's the option to request any two items you don't want included in your box. All in all, it's a pretty good and very reasonably priced service helping you easily achieve your recommended 5-a-day!

I'm here to redress the balance and hopefully allow a modicum of calm to reenter my relationships! Green Cuisine is an entirely Welsh concern, and so if you don't want to go buying your veggie boxes from England, making them less eco-friendly and very much not homegrown, then Green Cuisine offers you the best alternative. As far as i know it they don't deliver meat, but the veggie boxes contain both fruit and veg, and differing sizes are available depending on your needs. They cost as little as £8.95 for seven to ten items, and go up to £20.00 for approximately 16 to 22 items, depending on which seasonal fruit and veg is available. This is amazing value!
