When I refused to pay the second time my child contracted staph and was out I was contacted by a collection agency and was threatened by both the collection agency and growing room. I tried contacting the owner many times but every time I called they would tell me she was unavailable. I eventually went up to there main office and was told she was out of town. Don't make a mistake and put your child in danger. Stay away!

It is now June. My baby is afraid of the pool. Sees other kids going to swim lessons and asks if we're going to make him go back to that place and no refund. I don't know what I expected from a place that was so rude and wouldn't suspend my account when I was paralyzed from the neck down in a hospital 2 hrs away. I registered my grandson for preschool swim lessons. I registered him for intermediate instead of beginner so the Aquatics Director, Megan Morgan told my daughter(she's the one that took me grandson) that she would leave it up to the teacher. The teacher allowed him in. Great. He's excited he loves the water and wants to swim. Within minutes of class starting my daughter starts texting me. She said there were 2 kids in class that were acting up the teacher didn't get them under control. One of them stepped on my grandson so he started crying. The teacher picked him up for about 1.5min then put him back in the water between the 2 kids. She then told the kids to put there faces under the water to blow bubbles and bc he was smaller and BETWEEN the 2 kids he got choked not even having put his face under water. At this point he's screaming and coughing and the teacher is ignoring him while he's hanging on the wall. My daughter went and took him out of the pool got him dressed and left. This is a child that rarely cries when he gets hurt. Later that evening he asked his mom several times to please never make him go back. So in the span of 25min we went from having an excited water loving 3yr old to a terrified 3yr old that has had nightmares since. I left a message the next day for Ms. Morgan outlining everything and asking for a refund. I still have not heard back. I called the morning of 3/25/25. #chrisbryant #ymcaceo

He had a gash on his elbow and a bruise on his ear. The next day I called the director and was told "the teacher noticed his elbow but not the bruise. He probably rolled in the crib and hit his head on the side". If a 4 month old was developmentally capable of rolling so hard as to bruise themselves, I'm sure there would have been a lot of crying. So someone should've noticed. Secondly, the parent should always be notified of any kind of injury. The director, Kim Smith, was very dismissive and acted like she didn't care at all. If this wasn't abuse, it was certainly neglect. After withdrawing my child, she implied it was somehow my fault for not inspecting my child there at pick up and notifying the teacher then. But per their policy (which I was not informed of when registering him), parents are not allowed in the classroom. You are made to stand at the door and then leave when your child is handed to you. The teacher did rudely confront me about this policy after I attempted to change my sons diaper. The reason behind this rule being germs on shoes, however all the employees walk from the parking lot straight into the room. So where was I supposed to inspect him at? I asked to see video footage from the room, and I was told there are no cameras (when their website clearly states they have cameras placed around the facility for safety). Not to mention the teachers would be sitting around talking and gossiping while multiple babies were crying. So please do not trust this daycare with your babies.

During the time he developed a HATE for his highchair - which was EXTREMELY strange! - because he use to LOVE eating. Between my daughter and me - we snuck in and observed - unbeknownst to the owner and his caregiver. They were leaving him - and all the other kids in there highchairs from the time we dropped him off until their breakfast time - approximately 2 HOURS!!!!! When I approached them, the denied it!!! I told them how my daughter and I snuck in a observed; how I dropped him off at 6:30; she came in 2 times and then I came in at 8:30 and HE WAS STILL SITTING THERE!!! I then contacted Lee County DHR. NOTHING came from it!!!!!!... They were a "reputable" daycare for over 20 years and "never" had any issues with DHR before - or so I was told. This daycare needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!! IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!

The worst month of daycare that I ever experienced and I have 3 children aged 16, 9 and 1. My daughter got sick within the first week and I had no clue of what to compare how actions at this place vs her at home to gauge her illness. When we had a tour there were multiple kids with snotty noses and dirty faces. You are not "allowed" to pop in and check on your kids because of their "COVID induced restrictions", there is no online link to sign in to view your child or to even pay for daycare. You have to still go up there to pay via check, money order or cash... in 2022. The director is not a warm woman, she cares about the money and business only even when concerns are addressed to her multiple times over weeks about daily reports she refused to address the concern but kept pointing out that this is a place of business regarding tuition. She asked my husband on a Monday MORNING when he was in the process of dropping our daughter off about when she was going to receive pay for daycare. It's due by close of business on Monday.... I received a phone call at 6:20 pm one day asking when I was going to pick my daughter up, they close at 6:30, I was on the way and I was not late. She was sitting in the lobby waiting on me when I got there. We missed half a week last week (thanksgiving week) and Monday and Tuesday of this week due to my grandmother passing on Monday and was ready to pay today but the director was a very ugly and confrontational person this morning and still did not address week old concerns. She gave me a bad feeling from the day we met her when she came to a scheduled meeting late because she wasn't even there. We asked the curriculum and she gave a generic answer of what they teach and added that they go over bible scriptures each week. Where's the daily or even weekly report so I can see what that scripture is to reinforce the learning of it at home? Oh ok. Exactly. The director is one of those type of women, and you'll know exactly what I mean when/ if you met her. My husband asked me to give it a chance, i did. The management are so down to earth and real. The teachers are great as well. I felt the love and patience when they dealt with my kids. They got everything recorded with cameras in rooms which gives me peace of mind! They are clean and honest. I love the curriculum and their creativity. They have functions like Christmas and Easter programs and also Graduation ceremonies and Fashion Shows! I was so I sad when my first child had to start Kindergarten but couldn't wait to bring my second and third child to this academy!
