I was then told my massage therapist hadn't yet arrived. Hmmm, okay.... she arrived at about 12:10 and took me in right away - but I did get rather turned off by the lack of professionalism in terms of either offering me another massage therapist, keeping me updated on her whereabouts, making sure I wasn't in a rush to leave, etc. Marianne, my massage therapist, finally arrived and took me in immediately and filled with apologies. Anyway, once I was taken in, things started getting better. You leave your shoes by the waiting room, which is a nice touch - it adds to the spa like feel of the place, and minimises noise of people walking around. The rooms are lovely - well lit by candlelight, soft music playing, etc. I didn't love the fact that my body was covered with a smallish towel instead of a sheet, but once I got into the massage I forgot about it. I had booked a deep tissue massage and was a bit turned off by the light touch Marianne had at first, but she still somehow managed to get in there and loosen my muscles. At one point she pulled my shoulder blades out, which I've had done before and usually find myself gasping to not yell out, but with Marianne it just felt like a nice gentle stretch that left me feeling quite limber. I'm used to deep tissue massages being very strong and really working out my muscles, with me grunting from the pain (the good sort of pain, though!). That's not how Marianne did it - somehow, I received a deep tissue massage and managed to doze off! Afterwards she left me dozing in the room, and when I finally got up and got dressed, she met me in the waiting area with some tea and water, a stack of magazines, a blanket, and my choice of daybeds to curl up on and relax. I was told there was no rush for me to leave, and I truly felt that way. I'll be back.

Slightly worryingly the questionnaire described what one would normally describe as 'side effects' as a 'healing reaction'. It seems complimentary therapies are continuing to be good at rebranding. The place is certainly very clean and zen full of furniture from Lom Bok (I have just moved and studied furniture stores). The staff do a good job of putting you at ease. There was quiet music, soft smells and lots of places to meditate. The lady who looked after me was very good, very professional and and concentrated on my back where I get the most pain post swimming. The price wasn't bad at £65 for 45 mins and had a nice relaxing tea at the eng just outside a small garden. If my pain had gone or Id felt better this place would get five stars but Ive yet to find that place. I think I'll continue with my shaves but certainly I'd go back if I was gifted a session.

It was so great that we came back another day and got 90mins! 90mins was perfect. Both times, my masseuse was Nan, and she was amazing! She really pinpointed all the knots on my shoulders and neck and her pressure was on point. My husband got Justyna and Pammy and they were both great as well. It was quite shocking that he enjoyed both masseuses cause no two masseuses are ever the same. So he believes that they might've gone through the same systematic training to ensure consistency and quality. The owner of this establishment is aware of this review and that I published it. She has removed me from her FB group and blocked me within 12 hours of this review going live. This is NOT a personal grievance, it is a true and accurate account of my experience with this salon. I have a few regular salons I visit but decided to give OnCloudNine Treatment a go as it is local. I made a booking on-line (for underarm, half leg, bikini wax and eyebrow thread) a week before my appointment and called to confirm the day before. When I arrived (I booked for 13:15hrs), I was greeted and informed the therapist was running a little late. I had timed my whole day perfectly as I went into hospital the following day and had lots to do. I was given a cup of coffee and engaged in conversation. 45 minutes later (now 14:00 hrs) I was greeted by the therapist and shown to the treatment room. I was asked to change into a white fluffy bathrobe, the only one in the room which didn't smell clean, leading me to the assumption it had been used previously. The window was open and I could see outside. I can't remember if there were blinds, if there were, they were fully open. This made me feel rather exposed, especially when I was receiving the bikini wax. The equipment used (including wax bath) by the therapist was just sitting on a chair, not a work station or desk. In my opinion this is unsafe and highly unprofessional. The therapist herself was very friendly, although she told me all about her previous client and the treatment she had received. I started to wonder what her next client was going to hear about me!! The treatments were absolutely fine and the therapist was efficient. Probably one of the best bikini waxes I've had for a while! In total the session lasted just under 30 minutes. The total cost was £83 a little more than I usually pay, but I was aware of this at the time of booking. This is where it gets interesting As it transpires, the owner of this establishment (who I believed was the receptionist at the time and she never corrected me even when I asked if 'the owner' decorated the place herself) and I have a few mutual friends. During the conversation we had in the waiting area we engaged in polite small talk. I thought noting more of it. 2 weeks later I heard TO MY HORROR that the owner of this salon was repeating and embellishing our conversation to other customers and friends. Although I can see they are trying to move away from the overly clinical look some places offer, I feel that it their décor makes the establishment look too shabby chic rather than comfortable. I found the integrity and professionalism of the owner to be appalling. The treatment room was lacking in equipment, comfort and cleanliness. The staff lack client discretion and confidentiality and the prices are far too high for the standard of the salon.

I have done a lot of round the clock childcare recently for my daughter and her 6mths old baby and as my time out thank you I booked two appointments at Beautique. The first was for a liftosome facial - although at the time of booking I said I wanted the Hydrodermie Lift & Liptosome, a brow and lash tint. I was booked for a Liptosome facial - luckily the therapist Sam, phoned to say there was not enough time to do the lash/brow tint - could I come in earlier. I did. She was very good but when I queried the facial, she said I was down for the Liftosome facial - what I should have 'asked for' was the Lift & Liptosome - which I had. However, I booked for this later in the week - did I get it - hell no! Sam was unable to do it but was assured that the therapist would do a good job but, in spite of everything I got a 'Lift & Hydradermie facial' - not what I wanted or had booked - again. The lift part was OK then I kept waiting for the mask to be applied. The therapist disappeared for 10 minutes. when she came back, I asked about the Liptosome mask - she told me I was booked for a hydrodermie not a liptosome. As you can imagine I had been lying there waiting and waiting for the mask - getting more and more anxious - car parking at Bligh + daughter and baby.When I queried it, I was initially fobbed off - "Oh, they don't do some of those combinations any more" - "What, they've changed since tuesday?" The upshot was I was initally offered a 10 percent discount of a 74 pound facial I didn't want - which Sam, my original facialist had organised with the receptionist. After an unneccessary fuss - more stress- I was given a voucher for a liftosome facial in my name valid for 3 months. I am not local - I had come over from Ireland to look after my daughter and would not be back till August at the earliest. The girl at the desk, made it valid for 6 months but, when asked, could not guarantee that it would be honoured. I had had problems with double booking appointments - wrong facial.What annoyed me more than anything was that initally there were excuses. As a result, neither of my daughters, local to 7oaks would go back and I dare say their friends on the 'mummy network' will think twice before booking a precious hour at Beautique rather than any of the other salons in town. Avoid it. Therapists - hand on fine- organisation and client management non-existent.
