However, the price isn't that budget which make it hard to real to push a good budget hotel. There is parking but the hotel has very limited amounts of parking spots which has to be reserved in advance. The hotel is located in the city core of the city and within walking distance to most things. The room I stayed in is the smallest room I ever stayed in but nice and clean. The interior is a small shelf in the all a photo wall of a forest a small bedside table and a small bathroom. Small but totally okay. The things that makes it a good hotel to stay at is its very central location in the city core and that it's nice and clean. The breakfast is toast, egg and yoghurt in other words the absolute basics of a breakfast In summary it's a central, clean and okay hotel but I didn't get that value for money that I've expected out of it.

If I were to compare it to a Ritz Carlton, I would have to give it one star...but it is not trying to be a Ritz Carlton. It is trying to deliver a clean, comfortable room for a very reasonable price. It does a very good job at that. It has a modern, if not a little funky atmosphere. Our room was clean...although the wall paper was torn in a couple of places. The bathroom was tiny...but the room was comfortable and clean. Service was extremely friendly.

There were three Oslo planes in quick succession, which meant that all of the seats were gone by the time I was through the remarkably zealous security system. I ended up leaning against a wall for the best part of two hours as the planes were all delayed. Good job for the free wifi! One point for travellers is to know about the airport bus instead of taking a very expensive taxi. There is a fairly regular bus service to the town centre bus station for 130NOK return ticket. Takes the same time as a taxi but will save you a ton in comparison.

If you want to travel to Denmark from Norway in style, I highly recommend taking the Color Line…read moreferry from Kristensand, about a three hour drive from Sandnes/Stavanger via picturesque route E 39. The ferry is more like a cruise ship. There is duty free shopping, gambling tables, and of course, amazing all-you-can-eat buffets with a variety of excellent local as well as international fare. I highly recommend trying the different styles of pickled herring (you should try it once) and the fresh water crawfish, mussels, and crab claws are deilig (delicious). The carved roast beef with lingonberry sauce plus the potatoes Anna with red wine gravy are equally delicious. The black licorice ice cream is pretty neat. Like eating a mild piece of black licorice (normally not my favorite). Service is excellent and staff is quick to whisk away your dishes and glasses so you can dine some more, pretending it's your first plate. The gluten free area of desserts is great for those who need it. The view of the vast water outside is also a nice way to travel. Very kid-friendly too. There was a performance for kids with treats. A fun and affordable way to travel in Scandinavia between two countries.

Well organized ferry service between Denmark and Norway. We took this from Kristiansand over to…read moreDenmark. Boarding was easy and there was plenty of seating throughout the boat. It's not as fast as Fjordline over the water but it's a smoother sail. Food options are great on this ferry. This had American and traditional dishes at decent prices served fresh. They also have a huge duty free store. I believe there's a section for gambling and also sleeper chairs. A man was sleeping on the seat by where we were seated and a crew member told them to go to the sleeper section. Getting off the ferry was easy and exiting the port was even easier. Very nice way to go over to Denmark.
