We had a buffet luncheon for 85 people for four and half hours in order to accommodate the various work schedules of our employees. The buffet included chicken, roast beef, roasted vegetables, green beans almondine, roasted rosemary potatoes, salad and rolls. Delivery and setup was on time and the buffet was staffed and well stocked the entire time. The price was extremely competitive with everything included. The response from our staff was overwhelming and everything from the food, service and presentation was great. And, an added bonus is that all proceeds go directly to Real Services Meals on Wheels program - catering for a cause!

They catered a tailgate for us for the opening Notre Dame game - and delivered the food. Not the easiest of requests to make to a cater in the area, most local business require you to pick up the food for your tailgate due to the difficulties in delivering the food there, but Sugar Ella's did this for us. They advertise their catering specifically for tailgating. Our menu consisted of smoked brisket, sausage and kraut, cowboy beans, Mexican cornbread casserole, loaded baked potato dips, chips, rolls, and dessert platters with chocolate chunk cookies and brownies. My personal favorites were the brisket and brownies! The brisket was all the rave at the tailgate...I could literally eat platefuls of this and be one happy meat-lover. It comes in their homemade bbq sauce that's not sweet or spicy, but perfectly tangy and settle. The brownies were huge and succulent...and they mastered a hard technique: super thick brownies that are overbaked or too dry. Their prices are affordable compared to their competition. I highly encourage you to check them out and give a glance at their website. Additionally, they have a Facebook page - I've checked it out and the only suggestion I give is that they put a little more into their marketing and social media activity. The potatoes had the same flavor, the sausage was a smoked sausage with an oily film of cold smoke soot. It was clearly obvious to anyone who has ever smoked meat that they were in the weeds. Maybe they just had a bad day, but they still served it. Hopefully they practice more and can identify when the smoker is smoking and not just choking the life out of a meal with soot.

Everyone loved the food and unique presentations. The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible and a joy to work with. They made me feel so important, like this was the biggest day of the year for them and I know they are very busy. I can't say enough positive about them but by far the most helpful thing was something rather unexpected. About 2 months before the wedding, I met with them over the phone and in person to go over their pre-wedding questionnaires. Not only did this form help make sure we were on the same page with absolutely every detail, the process helped me realize some areas where I had been a little delinquent in my planning. There's no doubt in my mind CK would've exceeded expectations. Not only are they very responsive to emails and calls, they remained helpful with any questions we had. Our families had done a taste testing with them, and everyone had loved everything CK presented. From the main courses, to the sides, and even the toppings. Everything was phenomenal. They even had a display and options on how you want your table set, from different glassware, plates, etc etc. I don't remember what kind of juice they were presenting that I went back for too many times, even that was delicious haha. Saving the best for last. The main thing that drew me to CK was they offered a day of wedding coordinator. We were so fortunate to work with Melissa. She is responsive, clearly knows what she's doing, and is more helpful than we could've asked for. She listens, she plans, and she is so dang sweet. I could've talked to her for hours, she makes you feel comfortable. I trusted her with my wedding, and I would've continued to do so through and through. And highly, highly recommend her. I wish we could have continued working with Melissa and the CK team. Thank you for the work that was put into this. I wish you all nothing but the best.
