Very clean, comfortable beds, ample parking even if you have a trailer, some units are pet friendly too. Having a kitchen, with clean dishes, is awesome as well as having laundry on site! Rooms are a great size, the house has the master at the other end which was nice when traveling with others too! We will be back!

You check in at the bar next door which has a good menu and a friendly staff. However I will never be back. The second evening we had a great dinner at the tavern and figured on having a few more beers but some guy they all seemed to know came in with friends and was playing pool. No problem there. They got a little loud and obnoxious but didn't bother us so again no big deal. But then he started yelling aggressively and dropping big time N-bombs. He was even hostile sounding and bragged that he was a republican so that made it ok to make hateful racist comments. Explicatives were flying. Whatever! His problem not mine. BUT the bar tender and her group of regulars were laughing and joking about this guy. Even encouraging him when came over to them. I won't support a place that tolerates this kind of behavior and racist BS. Really disappointing because otherwise I would strongly recommend this place.

The kitchenette was very clean but we didn't use anything other than the refrigerator. Biggest problem was the very small bathroom. Extremely cramped. Shower was very small and almost chlostrophobic. The sink was nearly unusable as it was placed in a very narrow spot and the bowl, although very modern, had a funny angle that made it difficult to get your hands or a washcloth into. The motel is in a good location for sightseeing. Sault Ste. Marie to the east and multiple lighthouses and waterfalls to the west. Overall this was a good stay.

The beds were comfortable, one of them was brand new! The bathroom was small but there was excellent water pressure and good, hot water. Our cabin had all the basics including all kitchen ware, a coffee maker, hair dryer, TV/VCR/DVD player and alarm clocks. Outdoors, our yard included a screened in attached porch, fire pit (wood included), picnic table, chairs and a cafe table and a clothesline. The property sits on the edge of Lake Superior and has private beach access. The beach has beautiful Great Lakes sand and cool, clear water. The beach is lined with adirondack chairs and they have inner tubes for the kids. The owners work hard to maintain their property and therefore can be a bit persnitickity about their cabins and property. Don't be put off; this place is terrific and they are the reason why. Do bring your own marshmallow forks; it's the one thing we didn't find. And, do your grocery shopping before you get to Paradise; the grocery store is a whole different ball game!

If you want someplace to come to disconnect and breathe, this is the perfect place. The owners, Jim and Carol (and Jack the dog!) know how to run a business. They were both so friendly and made our stay that much better with our conversations with them (they were also the bartenders at night). The place is immaculate. Our room (room #1) was so comfy we didn't want to leave and dreamed about going to sleep every night because the bed was so comfy. The decor was simple but beautiful. It felt like everything they picked was perfect for the space. Outside had rocking chairs on the front porch to sit and watch the sunsets over the lake. There were kayaks and a boat to use that I was sad we didn't have time to do but loved that they were there. They had a fire pit and wood for you to make a fire whenever you wanted. They don't have a kitchen but they did have breads/muffins and yogurt for breakfast and the option of buying charcuterie boards. The bar they had is great! As with the rest of the place, it's cozy and intimate. They have a game cabinet you can peruse and pick from. The cocktails are amazing (best last word and sazerac we've had in a long time and strong; they don't skimp on the ingredients). Overall, I would 100% stay here again. Loved everything.
