I've been going to Clark's for 30 years. Best prices around, but the worst when it comes to the phone skills. They don't answer saying "Clark's, can you hold please." They just pick up and put you on hold. I spent my whole lunch breaks on hold, called again and same thing. Most people don't have time for that. I might consider paying a little higher price with better customer service than wasting my time on hold next time. read more

I recently had the worst experience at Clark's Auto Parts on 07/08/24 between 3:00PM and 3:30PM. The manager, "Jerry", and most of the staff are incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. "Jerry" in particular, is exceptionally bad, but the other employees, including the second manager, are not much better. When I was in-store, I asked for the managers name, but I believe I was given a false name. After leaving, I called multiple times to ask for the names of the managers on shift, hoping to get their real names, but each time I asked, I was immediately hung up on. This level of unprofessionalism is extremely shocking. They all need a serious attitude adjustment, especially "Jerry". I genuinely don't understand how they have jobs. They behave as if they are superior than everyone especially women, despite working a retail job, likely for minimum wage. Before I was assisted, I observed multiple customers being treated poorly. One of them, a male customer, managed to return a used dirty, incorrect part that he had mistakenly purchased. Although the manager was extremely hesitant and handled the return with an attitude and disrespect, he ultimately ending up processing the return. However, when I attempted to return an unused part that an employee had incorrectly ordered, my request was denied. So if they make a mistake, they will refuse to correct it and will insult you, claiming you lack common sense, even when they admit they ordered the wrong part. Clark's has been accused in many reviews of discriminating against women, and unfortunately, I experienced this firsthand. The complete disregard and utter disrespect towards me was apparent and the way they treated me compared to male customers was noticeably different. I would strongly advise women to avoid this business for obvious reasons. And if you are a man who doesn't condone disrespecting women or simply horrible customer service, I would consider avoiding this business. The owner desperately needs to hire a completely new team, as the current staff is ruining this business. And sadly my experience is not uncommon. There are many reviews with similar sentiments & experiences. It's so unfortunate because I prefer to support small businesses, but this one is horrible. As a former paying customer, it's particularly disappointing and upsetting to have been spoken to and treated with such blatant disrespect. The lack of professionalism displayed is extremely disheartening and has left me deeply disturbed and upset. I am reporting Clark's to the DCA and the Better Business Bureau and I am very confident they will investigate, especially since there are already many cases against this business. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. Hap's Auto Parts is nearby, has great pricing, and far fewer negative reviews. If you choose to visit Clark's, I sincerely hope your experience is better than mine and the many others who had horrible experiences. They do not honor their warranty. I bought a battery that lasted less than a year, I was within the warranty period and they wouldn't exchange it because it was low on battery. They blamed my truck electrical system. Went to Costco and bought a new one haven't had an issue. Costco was cheaper as well. read more

This is my go to spot to get their rebuilt car batteries. They have the same lifeapan as new batteries, so far to this day all the ones I've bought haven't failed prematurely. I was referred here by a friend and I'm very happy that they told me about this place. Prices are great! and will keep you at ease. I came in for rear brake pads and rotors and it cost me a little over 90 which is a GREAT DEAL since I've called around many local stores around the Long Beach area where I live asking for prices and everything being above 160 for the brake parts. Before I visited I gave a call to the store and had the pleasure of talking to Carl and he was very helpful with my questions especially when asking his opinion of my current car situation. GIVE CARL A RAISE!!! Once I visited the store to purchase the parts I needed I also inquired about the prices for other things I'm gonna need for my car and to say the least they sold me as a customer and I will be relying on them for anything I need on my car. This has actually helped me a lot actually because my car problems has put me in a rough place financially and being able to afford quality parts for my car has made the weight lighter on me. My current mechanic wanted to charge me 270 for the rear brakes and rotors parts plus 120 each side for labor. I paid 110 for the front brake parts and he did the labor for 100 total for both sides. Not sure why he wanted to charge me 120 for both sides this time and why the rear parts costed more. But I am aware that other mechanics charge more for this service and parts but I'm going with my dads mechanic this time who also works on my dads car regularly and he's charging me 80 for labor. Give this place more business. It's worth it and they help a lot! read more

I don't understand why men have to be so arrogant when a woman calls to order parts! The guy I spoke with today argued me down that a part I wanted was indeed plastic when it is in fact metal as I stated. He called the warehouse to confirm it was plastic only to be proven wrong! The original part I ordered was refunded because they did not have it in stock. I've been trying to get this part for over two weeks now and it's been by far the most frustrating process ever. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience with Clark's Auto Parts. Their customer service is extremely lacking, especially when it comes to honoring their warranty. If you lose your paper receipt, they won't honor their lifetime warranty. Its 2025 how hard is it to update their system and have your warranty information saved. All major auto parts stores save your information on a computer. On top of that, they often miscommunicate about product availability. Today, I took a Lyft to their store because they told me they had the part I needed, only to find out they didn't. When I asked for reimbursement for the Lyft, they refused, saying they don't do and that no business does that. I have had that happen to me once at a brand auto store and they offered me store credit on the amount i spent on the lyft ride. The owner even once told me told don't care if I don't come back because they have plenty of customers. Additionally, their electronic parts tend to be defective, and the lower prices reflect the lower quality. I will never be returning.
