The staff are really helpful, and they are generally always there to assist you, but the women's section of the shop has hardly any choice, with there only being a couple of racks of shoes available. Their designs range from geek chic to almost totally cool. You can wear them comfortably for ages. They do good sales, so if you don't mind buying your shoes a bit out of season you can get great deals. Otherwise prices are not cheap but they shoes last ages and are terrific quality. A great place for kid's shoes too.

Aldo is one of the shops I go to when I want to know what the fashion industry would like me to wear. It normally has a massive amount of heels, which are all fairly similar to each other. At the moment they have studs ... on everything. So I assume that studs is the new fashion. As I do not have shoes with studs I assume I will never catch up with fashion and resign to an unfashionable lifestyle. This shop in particular is rather big and has a wide range of accessory as well. It only gets three stars at the staff always seems very put out (or stressed) and the music is always too loud. On the rare occasion when I try on things I can barely ear them calling out my shoe size. Ohh, yes another thing: the staff forgets your face when they go and collect your desired shoes. I think its a reaction to dealing with huge amounts of people every day. Sometimes they walk straight past you and offer the shoes to some other perplexed customer. A shoe lover I walk into the store once a month to see whats new and interesting. I personally hate the idea of retail, but good shoes are always an expression. Too many girls trying to look very gorgeous, but I only want good sales service. Standing long hours can be tight, and I feel the girls should not be overburdened. But the staff are nevertheless well trained to get you what you want. And some off season shoes are also put up on the discount goodie shelf. Very glamorous, very push and party wear, for parties I haven't been invited. Well it is not completely tasteless, some of the designs are actually quite cool. On the store shelf's I mean.
