We attended a show here and loved it. Since then, my son has performed in two shows. The staff is top notch and he has learned so much!

I had such a great time Friday night. Great family owned business that inspires everyone to find…read moretheir own artist within. Everyone gets to choose their own paints where most placed only let you paint with the colors of their choice. Everyone could choose their painting of choice and we did not have to pick the theme night painting. The instructor walks around to each person and gives guidance and encouragement. It will be will be back. I've painted my best painting ever which was a colorful owl. At the end everyone got to paint their name on the walls. How cool was that to have your signature on the wall for everyone to see.

I have never visited OTS and since I know it's so close by, there may be a trip here more often. Even though there is a class calendar that shows what the painting will be for the night, it's pretty much up to you if you want to paint it or not. Unlike other painting places, there is not an instructor that holds your hand and tells you step by step how to paint. The different types of paintings are printed out on small pieces of paper which you use for inspiration for your canvas. For instance, tonight's painting was the Texas Flag. At the front desk, there were many variations of the Texas flag that you could choose from. If you aren't digging those, you can choose other painting inspirations on the wall. In tonight's class, everyone was doing their own paintings, at their own speed, and at however they wanted to do it. I was very nervous when I began painting because I am used to seeing how the teachers paint and copying them. I just had a picture of what I wanted to paint, and I had to figure out how to do it on my own. It was nerve wrecking but awesome at the same time. The instructors were very friendly, came by often, and gave us tips/techniques on how to make it better. It is BYOB. They provide glasses and some light bites that you can nibble on throughout the night. The Drunk Artist is family owned and their gorgeous dog walks around the place. If I had to choose Painting with a Twist or The Drunk Artist, I would choose Drunk Artist. The environment, different selections of inspiration, and friendly people have really won me over.

Why 5 stars? Because this was really fun for the parents and kid…read more --- --- --- I have had Activate bookmarked for a long time but have been hesitant to visit because I was worried my 7 year old might not be able to hold his own in some of the games. If you're having those same concerns, I would encourage you to definitely drop those concerns and just go. There are several different rooms with different styles of games and different levels of each game. Our son could pretty much do everything - mostly with no help (occasionally just a small amount of help), especially on the lower levels. Before you enter each room, you can click a button on the screen to learn the rules of the game so you don't walk in and have no idea what to do. Because once you enter a room, it pretty much starts immediately. Only one time was there a technical malfunction, but everything else worked perfectly the whole time. The basketball and baseball style games were a workout. I was sweating and exhausted after we were done with those. The baseball game was probably the one our son struggled with the most, but it was also my favorite. We ended the day by beating the level we couldn't beat after several tries, so it was a perfect was to use our last couple of minutes. We booked an hour long time limit, but we will definitely do a 90 minute slot next time. The hour flies by, and 90 minutes only costs a few bucks more. This was an awesome experience and one we will definitely do again. Our son's birthday isn't for a few months, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it ends up being here because it was a lot of fun.

We and u mean I included had sooo much fun! Loved the different rooms and the fact that we could go different levels from easy to hard and extremely advanced, amazing. We checked in and got wrist bands that made us play for 75 mins we also got a locker for personal items like bags and duck do you get to enjoy the full experience without hinderances. We started from one area which is down a corridor to the other end and went in every game room. Then we did it again! From laser to grids to hoops. Everything was just so much fun. Our favorite overall was the 'hide' have! Trust me it's a must do. Reasonably priced for 75 mins in my opinion and for us we were really tired when our time was up so I think it's good enough time also. My niece is going back this weekend with some of her friends. I will surely be back soon also.
