However I hate it because it's always so busy. This Saturday was no exception as it was really busy in there. I got the impression that they may have been short staffed but I wasn't made aware of any issues. Once seated, I was offered a hot drink and sat reading magazines for around 20 minutes. Once taken over to meet my stylist, she went through the style I had in mind, agreed it would work and then sent me off to have my hair washed before I returned to have it cut. The salon wasn't the most friendly I've ever been in and I wasn't made to feel overly welcome but it was OK for a trim.

They are small and independent and the service is OK, not brilliant. Open from 9-5.30pm most days, and closed on Sundays. My recommendation to be honest would be, to try somewhere else and give this one a miss. You feel better welcomed elsewhere.

This was paid for by my mum as it was my first beauty treatment since having my baby who was 7 months at the time. I requested a medium brown colour to lighten my hair from light black-one shade down. I sat for 7 hours to get my colour done twice and there was a band of orange in my hair at the end of this timeframe. I did not complain as these things happen. I was reasonable and agreed to come back the next day. I waited for 30 minutes to be seen and it took a further 3 hours. No apologies throughout. I had to pay for childcare as I was so embarrassed about my hair. I am very open to mistakes occurring as long as management apologise to some degree. The manager told me 'what did I expect.-colour took time'. The salon set my expectations that the colour would take a three hour session prior to initially being seen. I had also been going to them for colour prior to this. I actually went to another hairdressers a week later who rectified the issue quickly. I felt so low by the way the manager spoke down to me and to his staff in front of me. The upstairs sinks also scalded my scalp twice but I didn't even mention this. Overall, lovely girls and nice flowers, but don't be fooled, the owner is clearly not open to customer feedback. Go here if you want to back someone who clearly disrespects women. It really saddens me to say this but if I don't, bullies continue to bully. All it takes for this type of behaviour to prosper, is for me to sit back and say nothing.

Firstly it's worth mentioning that there is not a booked appointment system as such. They work on a…read moreday to day diary - you turn up at 9am when they open and book for that day. If you get in really early, or it's particularly quiet, you might be able to be seen then and there. But this is unlikely - it's a very popular place for a reason! I got there about 10.30am and booked the earliest appointment left available, which was 3.45pm. When I arrived I was met by Abby, who would be cutting my hair. She sat me down and we talked through what I wanted. I was looking for a slight overhaul - most notably getting a fringe for the first time in ten years! She cautioned that the work I wanted doing would be quoted at £23.95 instead of the standard £20 (which is a wash, cut and finish). To be honest I was over the moon with the price, and we immediately got under way. A lovely girl washed my hair for me. She was very gentle and we chatted away whilst it was done. Once I was all squeaky clean Abby got to work. She put some long layers in my hair and cut in the fringe - the style of which I decided based on her advice. Once the cutting was done she blow dried my hair and added a few finishing snips. I was thrilled with the result - it was a complete hair makeover for me, and the best my hair has looked in years. Throughout Abby was chatting a friendly, a real pleasure to talk to. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a bargain haircut which looks like it cost a fortune. Cannot praise enough!
