All those who know me know that my integrity is paramount. I am a community leader and lineage healer of a thousand generations, backed by my ancestors who have travelled the seas and fought against colonizers who oppressed and tried to silence them. I will NOT ALLOW you to do that to me today. So, to be called a liar by saying that I was being untruthful to save the face of your business is seriously uncalled for. Other businesses would have apologized and tried to appease customers such as myself in some way. I may take advantage of it or not. But at least, I received an apology. I received NONE. As an avid Yelper, I have every right to express my own PERSONAL experience with your gallery. I may not be a success story, but at least, I can tell others what happened to me. I also want to encourage artists to believe in themselves enough that they do not need other galleries to see to their own success. Very few fine artists in the world enjoy wealth and notoriety. Yet, many are so talented and go unrecognized. We see the world through our own unique lenses. I honestly believe that these events that exhibit artwork PREY on artists. They PREY on galleries...and galleries such as Artblend pass on the costs to the artists. It is true, it would cost more if we did it on our own to be at these so-called Hampton/New York/Spectrum Shows. ARTISTS, LOOK PAST all the pomp and circumstance of wealthy art seekers. You are out $5000, competing in a sea of other artists vying for space on the walls of some mansion. If you are so blessed to have a cushion of funds to invest, BY ALL MEANS, take the business risk. Truth: You ARE a pay-to-play gallery Truth: You do have a beautiful gallery and can make sales for artists who are lucky enough to sell their art. Truth: I did pay $5000 Truth: I was foolish and stupid to think that this was the course of action I needed to take to get my art "out there." Truth: I am NOT your success story Truth: You did offer resolution. But if Michael's idea of resolution is to PAY MORE by offering me a discounted rate to exhibit my artwork in San Diego, that it NOT my idea of a resolution. By the way, he was a nice person in the beginning. I don't believe he is a customer service driven person. I actually liked your first lady dealing with me. After all email exchanges, he took over and definitely lacks the finesse of dealing with unhappy clients. Truth: The Gallery was NEGLIGENT in the care of my art. PICTURES ARE EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE. Perhaps you can find a nugget of wisdom in this whole experience, as I have done myself. I learned so much about myself and for what it's worth, I am grateful. Artblend was a great teacher in what it means to believe in oneself. The experience taught me to keep it close to home and expand out that way when I am truly ready. Blessings and salamat.

Seeing beautiful art excites me. It's a feeling that's hard to describe, but I feel like I'm home among these great works of art. I could just look for hours. I realize the way these artists must feel to see their beloved paintings on display. I'm a photographer and I would just be so proud to have a showing such as this of my works. The gallery gave out wine, cheese and coffee to their guests. It was well worth the drive down there to see the beautiful display and imbibe their treats.I'm looking forward to the next showing by Artblend, I hope it's soon! After eating I popped over to check them out. There was some really interesting and thought provoking pieces. Standout pieces were the Matchstickmen by Wolfgang Stiller. They feature burned human heads at the end of oversized matchsticks. There was also the fantasy paintings of Brazilian artist Lúcio Carvalho. He takes elements from Baroque, Rococo, and the Renaissance and adds space helmets. There was also Korean artist Kim Byung Joo's three dimensional architectural sculptures and the interesting portraitures by Rogelio Manzo influenced by his Mexican heritage. A fanciful Snoopy wall hanging filled with actual Snoopy dolls brought a smile to my face as did a Darth Vader made out of Darth Vader Lego's. Other artists they represent include Alejandro Vega Beuvrin, Brendan Murphy, Dominic Besner, Mozart Guerra, Katharina Arndt, Ali Alışır, TecFase, and Banksy. They will help you pick the perfect piece for your taste and budget but I enjoyed window shopping. This is a fun gallery to check out.

They feature some really cool and talented artists - especially the Brazilian Lúcio Carvalho whose art I immediately fell in love with. I have to have some! I wandered around enjoying the art and then came back later to discuss options and prices with the friendly, Marcia, who was very warm and kind. She told me all about the artist and gave me more details on the ones I loved. She promised to send me some detailed email information later that night and was true to her word. New River Fine Art opened in 1998 and they specialize in 20th Century, Master, Pop, and Contemporary art in paintings, sculpture, and glass. Lisa Burgess, the President of New River Fine Arts was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2020 to a four-year term on the Florida Council for Arts & Culture which allowed her to support arts and culture on a state wide level. Burgess is also a member of Funding Arts Broward, on the Director's Circle for the Nova Southeastern University Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, and is a former committee member of the Symphony of the Americas. The gallery is not only used to display art for sale but also to host cultural and educational experiences. The gallery displays just a fraction of the art collection. New River Fine Art sells the art of more than 40 artists including Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and many others including emerging artists. You can see their extensive selection of art in their gallery book or on their website. Artwork costs in the thousands. The current exhibition is Keep Smiling, Artworks by Mr. Brainwash. Artist Thierry Guetta, also known as Mr. Brainwash is a French born, Los Angeles based street artist. He is thought to be a protege of Bansky whose style and concepts he emulates. You can see Bansky's Girl with a Balloon used in Mr. Brainwash's art. Mr. Brainwash has exhibited his work at Art Basel in Miami several times as well as in many other art exhibitions. He has described himself as being Banksy's greatest work of art. The galleries were created out of unappealing warehouses. Now the area has been transformed into a funky arts district. The FAR Contemporary Gallery is one of three art project spaces, the other two being Projects Space, and ArtsUp! Concept. FAR sells original works of art. This gallery was hosting an exhibit by an artist who used pears in their work. The most interesting piece was a table cut in half including the plate and pear on the table. I always enjoy art exhibits and this event allows you to meet artists and talk to them about their work. If you are looking for something different to do the Art Walk is a fun event.

After a brief hiatus in 2020 due to COVID, the event returned in 2021 in a smaller format at The Backyard before expanding to larger venues like Revolution Live and the War Memorial Auditorium. I recently attended the Indie Craft Bazaar at the historic War Memorial Auditorium, which has just undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation by the Florida Panthers. The venue--flexible enough to host concerts and large-scale events--was the perfect setting. The bazaar runs from 12-5 PM and features over 95 vendors, with free admission and parking. It's also very family-friendly. I had a great time browsing a wide variety of handmade, artisan, vintage, and locally made goods. There was everything from jewelry, live plants, and clothing to crystals, candles, bath products, accessories, stickers, crochet flowers, baked goods, and stationery. One standout for me was the upcycled concert T-shirts from Backstage Trends. They also offer fun extras like free swag bags for the first 100 guests, DIY activities, and food and drinks from The Federal. Plus, you can even go ice skating next door at the Baptist Health IcePlex. It's easy to pair the Indie Craft Bazaar with other activities in Holiday Park and make a full day of it. I'm so glad I finally got to experience this unique and vibrant market!

Umbrellas are left in heaping piles on a table out front for you to rummage through on your way out. The line to enter was wrapped around War Memorial, and rain was continuous. It appeared to be a 45-60 minute WAIT to enter. When asking about entering we were told, due to capacity limits, admission was based upon those exiting. For those who were leaving their review was, it is extremely crowded and challenging to get close to a vendors table. Several others said it was just "ok". We decided to leave the ever growing line and not wait. Recommendation to the organizers, consider holding this at the Convention Center I would happily pay parking for the convenience of actually entering the Bazaar. I wasn't the only one who left as you can imagine people who witnessed the extremely long, winding line left without ever getting close to the front of the line.
