Came here on a hot Sunday. Had a wine sampling of 2 reds and 2 whites. They were wonderful. The ladies at the counter were very helpful when I was trying to choose my selections. I nibbled on the fig and gorflganzola crustini and they paired nicely with my dry wines. The Crustini was very sweet. Keep that in mind if you order. After my wine flight, I had a wine slushy that was cut with a dry wine. It mellowed out the sweetness while providing a cool beverage on a hot day. I loved the setting on the big porch with the Vinyard beyond. Great place to go with some friends. read more

This lovely vineyard is beautiful! They are located in West a west edmond off Waterloo and May. They offer a wide range of wines and they have a bar to taste some of their wines and wine slushees! I had the Peach Bellini Slushee. It was so tasty and refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. The vineyard also had an archway and seating in the vineyard looking like they host formal events like weddings! Definitely check them out for more information. The venue is beautiful and all the decorations they provide are perfect. This venue is elegant and I got so many compliments on how classy the wedding was. We made our way out to this winery during our visit to Oklahoma. We took a small tour below the visitor center. It seems to be a small winery, but a very nice hospitable place. There is a nice outside patio for tasting, and they also serve some food items. We were driving so we just tasted a little wine right at the counter. We purchased some dry red wine, and they had some small four packs of wine in cans. These ones were in fruity flavors, so we got a few of these. So far we have not tried the cans, but the dry red wines were very good. After buying the wine we asked if we could walk around the property. They let us walk around the property. There is a beautiful venue for weddings overlooking a small lake and surrounded by grape vines. It is a peaceful and scenic winery, we really enjoyed a few hours here. And of course we enjoyed the wines later. read more

It's so nice to have found such a quaint winery within the OKC metro area. When you arrive, you feel like you've stepped out of central Oklahoma and into a family winery in Napa Valley. On a hot July day, we enjoyed a couple blueberry pomegranate wine slushies on their covered patio overlooking the fields. The peach bellini and strawberry mango ones sounded tasty, as well! The patio had plenty of seating for small and large groups, maybe 15 tables. I wish we were hungry because their upscale (yet affordable) snack menu sounded wonderful! I cane here for an event, Kittens and Corks, and had a ton of fun. First, this place is in the country. For reals. But upon arriving, there is a lively patio and tasting room. They even have frozen wine drinks. This is never my cup of tea, but people were raving and gushing about them, There are several rooms both upstairs and downstairs for private events. Clauren Ridge Vineyard and Winery is the perfect example of a hidden gem. Tucked deep into the nether regions of northern Edmond among open fields and track homes, Clauren is the perfect example of bringing a touch of the Napa Valley to where you'd least expect it. They only opened to the public three years ago, as the first grapes weren't planted here in the Edmond/ Deer Creek area until 2001, the owner originally started the wine tasting room so they could host their friends to the tastings on their vineyard grounds. Thankfully the public can now get a sample of the wines at Clauren Ridge. Speaking of the wines, can I say they were they as finely cultivated wines that you'd get in the Napa or Sonoma Valleys in Northern California? Probably not, but I got was a good wine pairing for an affordable price in quite the lovely venue that was picture perfect enough for both a wedding or a simple Sunday afternoon with friends. Clauren Ridge touts itself as "Oklahoma's Most Unique Working Winery" and is only open three days a week, Friday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm. (They open at noon on Sundays) When we arrived on this Sunday afternoon, the place was empty save for a couple of customers. Chasie, our tasting room associate, explained to us that wine tastings at Clauren Ridge were only six dollars for six pours off of their list of thirteen wines being offered. We selected a beautiful table on the patio overlooking the fields of grapes as well as the winery's setting for an intimate wedding ceremony that was all laid out, I suppose to show as an example of what they could host at this venue. Once we sat down in the patio area, we were each brought a check list of the wines they had in stock and were instructed to pick six of them to sample. My group wanted to start from whites and then finish off with some reds. We were disappointed to learn that they were out of their Merlots, Muscatos and Cabernets. (I know after learning that, I thought what was left?) It turns out they had a decent amount of wines left to sample like their their Chardonnay, which was strong yet very dry, and their Pinot Gris, which has a really strong nutty aftertaste. Clauren Ridge seems to specialize in sweet or dessert wines as they had a considerable amount of after-dinner wines to sample, including the Peach Watermelon which tasted like a Riesling but with a peach watermelon flavor added to it and the Cherry Chocolate Red which tasted as strongly as its title suggests. I liked their Sweet Red which was really potent and their Symphony Wine which left us with a super sweet aftertaste but still had enough dryness that it was perfect to try with a spicy Asian dish down the road. In fact, I felt that the Symphony was such a great representation of the wines at Clauren Ridge I bought two bottles and at fifteen dollars each was a total steal, plus we got two of our tastings comped as a result! All of the wines at Clauren Ridge tasted fine, with strong flavors accented by the aromatic blends they vint and cellar right there on the grounds. The wines were also accented by the lovely cheese, nut and cracker plate we were served while we drank. I really like that places like this exist in regions that you'd never expect them to be in. Oklahoma is a state that has laws in place that forbid wines sales stores and restaurants, but they are hoping the law changes very soon so Clauren Ridge can be featured on tables for dinner across the state. One can only hope they achieve their goal so Clauren Ridge isn't a hidden gem much longer. read more

We chose this place for a bachelorette party stop for early afternoon. I expected it to be amazing but it was lacking in my opinion. It took almost an hour to get one drink. We made reservations only to find they didn't reserve any tables so essentially it was first come first serve. Had I not gotten there as early as I did we wouldn't of had a table. We only ended up getting one drink b/c the line was so long it wasn't worth the wait. A girl in our party ordered some spinach artichoke dip and it never came. We had to leave to make our next reservation and she already paid. It wasn't a great first experience. Might try again on a day when we have no plans after to see how it goes. read more

I was looking for somewhere to take my friend and have a relaxing day. I hit the nail right on the head with this spot. We walked in and were greeted by two friendly ladies behind the bar. However my eyes went straight to the wine slush machines behind them. Yes you heard me right. Wine slushes!!! We first enjoyed their wine tasting menu which was so affordable. We got to select six wines to taste for $6.50. We then switched over to the slushes and never looked back lol. They have three flavors and all were amazing (I'll update flavors soon). We even mixed them together. The food selections were not great to me. I had the charcuterie board because nothing else sounded that amazing. I saw a few people order the fried raviolis which looked pretty good. Make sure to sit on the back patio area so you can have a great view of the vineyard and grounds. It was really peaceful. When we called them from across the country to plan Our wedding they were so great to us. It was so easy to communicate with them. Everything about the venue is absolutely stunning, from the inside, the pergola, downstairs and the landscaping. Kim made sure that Our wedding was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The backdrop in our photos is beautiful. Their wine is absolutely amazing and everyone loved it! The dance Floor is the perfect size. The waiters and waitresses were super nice. The decor they provided us with for the wedding was great and went perfectly with what we were going for. My daughter and I recently hosted a bridal shower at Clauren Ridge and we could not have pictured anything more beautiful! When we got our first look of the downstairs wine cave, we both almost burst into tears, everything was simply gorgeous! Kim and her staff took care of everything: set-up, food, flowers, clean-up... that was huge because neither my daughter nor I live in Oklahoma. Melissa, who took care of us during the shower, was so amazing! She was always nearby checking on us and taking care of things before we even knew they needed to be taken care of! 1st visit was great, however when went back a 2nd time we made a reservation after talking the place up to out of town guests from FL, IL, and NM following our son's college graduation, but the service was terrible. We showed 1 min prior to our reservation. 1 hour later after witnessing over 7 different groups arrive and receive all 4 of their wine tastings we were still waiting for our 2nd (despite asking twice for our 2nd tasting) not to mention our charcuterie board was gone and we were only 1 tasting into the experience. Do not accept the group tasting option rather insist they give you all for tastings up front. If more than 2 groups are onsite and you are not a local don't expect any service. :( read more

Clauren Ridge was everything I expected to have in a wedding/reception venue and more! I had always thought it would be cool to get married at a vineyard, and Clauren Ridge is gorgeous! Fortunately, the weather cooperated for us, but even if mother nature is not on your side, you have the option to get married in the cellar (where the reception is located) and it would still be a pretty neat venue. And best of all... it's very affordable! I probably would have paid what we did just to have a cool vineyard venue, but to make things even better, Kim and the staff really take care of you. So many things are included in the price (just go to their website and see for yourself) that you don't have to do as much planning as you would for other places. I was also so impressed at how well the staff took care of us and our guests on our day. They are trained well and have a great system down, and I felt a huge reason the day seemed to go so smoothly was because of them! The only "downside" is that they limit you to 125 guests, so if you are dead-set on a large wedding this would not be a good fit for you. We wanted a smaller wedding, so this was not an issue for us. And if that sounds like a good size for you as well, I highly recommend Clauren Ridge! read more

Hubby and I were asked if we would like to join some friends for a themed dinner at Clauren Ridge, so we wrote our check and paid for our two tickets. We were ready for a fun evening with friends and to try some local wines. The evening of the dinner arrived and we headed on over to meet up with our friends. As hubby and I drove up and entered the winery, I thought what a lovely building and how great it would be for a wedding or other celebration party. The evening started with hors d'oeuvres and a few drinks that included wines from the winery as everyone arrived for the evening. After everyone had gathered, we began a tour and then headed for dinner. While we had a pleasant time with our friends and other guests, the food was mediocre and the wine didn't do much to impress the two of us, although a portion of the tasting was unfinished green wine. Everyone has different tastes and preference and I tend to favor Cabs from Chile and California as well as other reds from Australia and France. Hubby is more of a Red Zin guy, but we went in with an open mind and just weren't impressed. There was nothing that stood out for us with any of the wines. We have our preferences, as does everyone else. We'll be sticking to our favorites and passing on the local wine scene...Oklahoma isn't exactly know for our wines. read more
