I've had life-long chronic neck pain that has been unbearable for at least a month. I had always contributed it to whiplash injuries from my younger years. My chiropractor in Montana has seen me for two years and has not even been able to adjust my neck because it's stuck in place, and he has even used multiple modalities to allow it to relax enough that I can finally be adjusted. I thought that I would have this problem for the rest of my life. Dr. Runyan began my treatment with an emotional trauma release treatment using applied kinesiology and was then able to adjust my neck. I felt immediate, incredible relief. On the advice of a friend I came to see Dr. Runyan. My first visit was somewhat novel in the fact that it was a more holistic practice. Over the last few months I've come to appreciate Dr. Runyan and the people behind the counter for their caring and highly personal attitude. Dr. Runyan does care about your overall well being and goal of being a healthier you and does, at the cost of brevity, try to educate you to this end. An excellent chiropractor to say the least. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! He HURT MY NECK and tried to scam me out of thousands of dollars! Dr. Runyan is a shady, slimy, and financially devious person. I was informed by another chiropractor in town that he has been to the Medical Review Board three times, and yet they fail to take away his license. One time was for sexual harassment issues so that's why all his tables are out in the open, and not in their separate rooms like you would normally see them. He referred to my chest as "tits" on multiple occasions, and I would not expect that kind of language from a doctor or any professional. He made me feel uncomfortable on several occasions, and asked me personal questions about intimacy with my husband, and asked once if I was pregnant in front of his whole office. I was told by another person in town that he fired them because they refused to give massages before they had their license. He makes you sign a contract with him before he will adjust you agreeing that you will see him for a prolonged period of time (I was told these are illegal by the way). My contract total was for well over a thousand dollars, but he wrote down that it would cover a year of treatment, so I agreed. Then he charged me that same amount in 3 MONTHS! I paid every visit, and never once did they invoice me or mention I owed more than I had been paying. I stopped seeing him because he injured my neck, and I still have problems with it. He is way too rough with his patients, and makes karate sounds when he adjusts people. I NEVER had neck problems before I came to him, and now I do. Then I got an letter in the mail saying I owed them $800 still (which I refused to pay). He said the idea is you pay the same amount for the entire year, but your care decreases over time, so that's how it financially evens out. This is a scam! My care never decreased! He said I HAD to come in three times a week to get better (which is not good on your back at all), he said I had to take vitamins to get better, and constantly tried to push his other products on me. During my first meeting with him he acted like a cult leader saying he could cure all of my medical problems just by fixing my back, and he preys on your emotions. Over several months he injured me worse than when I started, and charged me out the rear for it too. Had I stayed there he would have charged me a QUARTER of the income I make in a year in chiropractic care. No one will give him a negative review because they are too scarred he will try to sue them.
