This week, another technician who repaired the stove pointed out that a plate was not covering the electrical wiring behind the stove's kick plate. So, for four years, my family and I were using a GAS stove with exposed wiring just behind the kick plate. The owner came by today with a "colleague" to "investigate." His colleague admitted that a plate should cover the exposed wiring. Rather than admit this grievous oversight, the owner offered up this absurd explanation: Someone else removed the plate in the four years since the original installation. No one removed the plate. No one. Why would anyone do that? He also claims that he installed a shut off valve. I have asked the TSSA to launch an investigation. Save yourself the risk and trouble my family has unknowingly endured for four years. I urge you to choose another contractor. The owner will no doubt respond to this warning with denials and accusations. You can believe him if you want to but, if you do, you will regret it.

He realized the vent pipe was disconnected from the dryer and lint had accumulated inside the dry creating a real fire hazard. He took it upon himself to open up the dryer and clean out the lint inside the dryer and also reconnect the vent pipe and secured it with a screw. Peter really only needed to clean the vent but being the professional that he is he went over and above. Importantly he did all this and did so being very fair with his pricing. In less than a week they have cut their phone line, blocked their driveway every day with their dump trucks, and have awoken them early every morning (including weekends) with heavy machinery moving between the houses. No notice. No apology. No consideration. Stay FAR FAR away from these people. It's bad enough the neighbours have been ghosts during this, but the Solda pool staff have been surly and completely indifferent. I am disgusted by their business practices.

I was told that they could not help me without the exact year & model or serial number; that the parts change every 3-4 years and they would need the exact model. We had bought it second hand, so idea of the year, but certainly less than 7 or 8 years old, but the plate with the serial number was no longer on the BBQ. My husband then went in WITH the part, and after some discussion (again, saying they couldn't help without the model/serial number) they looked up the part number and found it at another location. They took his name and number and told him they would contact him when the part arrived in a day or so. After about 4 days, he called to see if it had arrived. They had no record of him, his contact number, or the part being ordered from the other store. In fact, the sales associate said, "Well, that's not how we do things here". The sales associate was entirely unhelpful and somewhat condescending. No apologies, no offer to make it right. So, after two trips to the store, and zero follow through on their part, I looked up the part on Amazon. Found that this was a UNIVERSAL part, which fits ALL 300 series Weber BBQs built in the last 13 YEARS. Ordered, and it arrived the next day.
