The rudest most unprofessional place I've been to. I came in yesterday I just wanted to add straps to a tube top bathing suit. The lady told me I have to bring my own straps (not sure why, you'd think since it's an alterations shop they would have materials)in for her to do it. I asked if I do come back with strap will you be able to have this done by Friday. She said for sure. So I came back today which was the next day with my straps. All I wanted was to add the two straps to the front and I would tie it like a halter top. I take my straps she gives me two safety pins and tells me to put the straps where I want them. I don't have a freaking ruler to measure it myself so I do my best she makes me close the safety pins and is so rude starring at me while I struggle, I said aren't you the professionals I might as well hop back and sow it myself! She grabs it from me and says you can pick it up Monday. This is the same lady who told me it was easy and could have it done same day. She's like nope Monday. What a waste of time I just walked out. Thankfully I found another place with way better customer service who could do it for me same day and was cheaper too. Please just go somewhere else if you're looking for alterations! Do not bring your clothes here!!! Terrible customer service, very rude Mexican Lady who works counter, I don't understand why she works there if she's not happy with her job. The owner needs to hire someone with customer service experience. There was an emergency with their payment system and I requested to call the owner, she said her phones didn't work , I come back 5 min later and she's on her cell phone & tells me its none of my business if she has a phone, They took almost 5 days just for regular press, then locked doors before closing time , Don't trust them with your clothes. Extremely expensive for dry cleaning. 4 pants for 22.05! I've had triple that amount including blazer(s) at a different location for less then that! If you're in a pinch as I am I guess very little options are available but this is the second time I've had to use them and it seems like the pricing gets more and more steep. If you can I highly recommend looking around around and finding a better locations but if you're in a pinch and have to get it done then I guess you as I am are screwed! Only good thing is they except card and cash, easily accessible location in lemon grove right by college grove and close to my work. Guess you have to pay for location and for convenience. I'm so very grateful to have found this place because I went to other surrounding dry cleaning places, and they weren't friendly nor were they able to accommodate me for my needed time frame, but she was! I feel so very bad for not recalling her name, but a sweet lady that was fun, understanding, and had an eye for making your attire look good on you! I was able to get my dressed both cleaned and hemmed in less than 48hrs, and the price was so affordable, I was expecting WAY more that what I actually paid lol. I was so excited to find a place close to me that was open on Saturday then I got even more excited to see that they offered a discount on Saturday. Maybe they are like Kohl's and they increase their price then say they are giving a "discount" because honestly, I would never use their services without that 20% off ($9 was a little much for 1 uniform). Love, love, LOVE this place! They give you a discount for Saturday drop off and the staff is always friendly and professional. They get my clothes back in one day. I have been going there for 7 years never had a problem. Until recently I pulled my shirt out of the dry cleaning bag to wear for work it had like a white caked on substance on it. When I brought it back they denied it even though it came out of the bag like and it did not get turned in like that. They did clean it but when I came to pick up with so e other shirts they charged me for it. So I paid a total of $6.00 for a shirt cleaned when it wasn't cleaned right the first time. My tailor has been using Clean Express for some time, and for the most part they had been doing a competent job. And as with any business, errors do occur. However, conscientious business practice dictates a minimum level of responsibility to reasonably resolve a problem. Sadly, an expensive shirt of mine was completely ruined by an indelible stain from a simple dry cleaning. The owners claimed no responsibility; this experience was made even worse when they did not even offer any form of minimal recompense. As one with immigrant parents, I highly admire foreigners' success in the USA. However, it's a shame when some business owners come over here with an imperious attitude and an artificial sense of self aggrandizement by thinking they can get away with bad habits brought over from third world countries. Split wax on my suit then didn't have time to take it in for 10 days. Took it to another dry cleaner who said she couldn't do anything for me when I did take it in. Tried using woolite but didn't get it all off. Elham said she was willing to try her best and could guarantee she would get 80% of the wax and discoloring out. Worst experience ever!!! Fuck this place and the people working there. Damn thieves!! I took 2 blouses. I ask how much for these shirts and they tell me $2 per shirt. I said ok and left them the tops. When I go to pick them up they said it was going to be $8.90! I asked her why and she said that "blouses are more." So I asked why they didn't tell me that when I dropped it off and the idiot manager said it was my fault for calling them "shirts". They had actually looked at my tops when I dropped them off and said $2!! You knew what I was asking!! Really stupid disrespectful people working here. Such a rip off!
