My very first time at top shelf. I didn't have the best customer service. I was checking out with a expensive bottle of tequila. And I handed the cashier a $50 bill and then proceeded to put my debit card out so that she could put the remaining balance on my debit card. The cashier looked at me like she was confused and asked, why I had my debit card out. I told her that you need to use the cash and then put the remaining amount on the debit card. And then she continued to look at me with a confused face and as I was leaving, I said, have a good day, and she completely ignored me. 2 days later, my boyfriend goes into this same liquor store and hears the cashier talking badly and disrespectfully about me to another co-worker until she realizes that my boyfriend is the one that was with me when I made this purchase. And she looks up and looks completely stunned and then stops talking. All I'm saying is that customer service is lacking in this world. As of AI and after COVID, we still need to hold ourselves accountable and especially in a business setting. You should probably not talk badly about the customers in front of other customers to your co-workers. And if you're going to do so do it behind closed doors. Don't be naive and arrogant and look unprofressional in your work place setting. Your job is to bring business in, not shy it away. You are supposed to represent the business that you work for. And if you don't have common sense to realize that someone hands you cash and then a credit card or a debit card use the cash then use the card. In any retail business, you should probably know that the cash goes first and the remaining amount will go on the card if you can't figure out that out.You should probably go back to elementary school sweetheart. Understand that people listen and they talk, so to the owner of Top Shelf, maybe vet your employees so you don't lose business about them bad mouthing customers in front of other customers. I will not be returning to Top Shelf other than to confront the cashier who was obscenely rude.
