Clifton Hill Yoga Studio teaches Iyengar Yoga.
OK It's may not be the fashionably hip Bikram, but you certainly get a good stretch after each session.
The studio is a giant bright and airy space with another tiny upstairs studio as well. Despite it being situated right on Queens Parade, once those doors are closed you can't hear another sound except your own (and other fellow yogis) deep breaths.
This form of yoga uses a variety of props, including ropes, 'bricks', chairs, blankets and bolsters which are all provided so you don't need to bring a thing! The teachers are all very friendly and make sure to pull or push you into the right position. They are also very helpful with any questions after.
I was at sure at first whether I would like this form of yoga, (and also the school), but I'm now a Iyengar convert! read more
