The maintenance on it must cost us taxpayers a bunch of hard earned tax dollars. Trying to find an entrance took me a very long walk for an 85 year old. I loved the old branch. Easy to get to and very easy to use. Inside this new monstrosity of a very expensive truly awful building was also difficult too. The only thing the help could say was that they did not build it. Yeah, BUT our tax dollars sure did. I could go on for 100 pages but you get the idea. My wife and I will never be back. It is a long drive to down town branch but we might be forced to use it. SHAME on you library board or whoever approved this horrible building and parking.

I love the talks the Central Library has monthly on local history as well as the local art they display on the walls. Everything is accessible-I order books for pickup all the time online. The Mesa County libraries is a great resource for our community.

It's on the smaller side compared to what I'm use to in California but I like that. Free wifi use if you have a laptop or you can use their computers for 30 minutes up to 2 sessions a day...not a lot but not an issue if you have a laptop or tablet. The printing is by donation which is handy if you forgot some change you can always donate more next time.

There are study tables on a balcony overlooking many shelves. The kids section is large and also has lots of elements for quiet play and reading. Also, I am constantly blown away with all the other things they have besides books. Yes, movies and ebooks and comic books, but also state park passes energy testing meters and a studio to record in.
