Initially I think while I definitely wanted to get help, I was resistant to the therapist, but I kept scheduling more appointments. And I started to like my therapist more and more, and valued her insights and how she obviously cared about me, yet continued to be objective. Her questions were probing and made me dig deep and see the bigger picture. Unfortunately since June I've not been able to see her as much due to my travel schedule and how booked she's been lately. But I feel my treatment has been helpful and I look forward to future visits.

In my experience, the humility and compassion she presents herself with is a facade. I experienced her as a wolf in sheep's clothing, and trusting her with my mental health care is something I DEEPLY regret. Patients deserve to know about her disciplinary history before placing themselves in such a vulnerable position. I do believe first and foremost she is a business woman in every sense over being a helping professional. Read the Board's public order and decide for yourself. Run away if I were you! Even if you like your provider at this office they have a high turnover rate. Not worth it!

There are some prior charges against him from years ago. Thankfully, that didn't deter me. He helped me tremendously to deal with my alcohol abuse, panic attacks and depression. Sadly, I had no insurance and could not afford his visits any longer. That was downside to having him as physician. He never required me to pay for a visit in advance as some others have said. I haven't seen him in a couple of years so things may have changed. If I could afford seeing Dr. Ostrovsky again, I would.

I took my son for sessions, as I feared my son was suicidal. This "doctor" would tell me my son…read morewas was "okay" or "fine," after I (too lamely) pleaded that I was scared for his life. He was isolating, extremely depressed and showed anger, the likes of which I had never seen previously; he had also lost tons of weight. Later come to find this "doctor" was indicted for Medicaid fraud. A while after my son died, and when the numbness wore off, I called Ostrovsky to inform him of my son's suicide, and I remember his first EXACT words, "Are you trying to make ME guilty." Google his name and indictments. I can't believe this person is still allowed to practice!

It is located on Charles Street downtown across from the Hotel Monaco and B&O. I'm assuming looking for street parking could be a challenge depending on the time of day. There is a garage next to the building, it was a bit high IMO. The building is quite easy to spot as it is LARGE. Kolmac is located in the 6th floor. It is kind of behind the elevators. This location appears to be more quaint from my observation, but it still does the job. I will always return, as the trainings are informative, interesting and free! Thanks so much Kolmac!

I wasn't sure what to expect and went…read morewith some trepidation but I was put completely at ease by the friendly, professional counselors. My hours of 5:30 to 8:30 pm were perfect and are the only hours available at this location. If you're struggling with addiction and need help please go to one of their clinics located throughout the greater Baltimore/DC area. I met the most interesting people there I would never have met otherwise from all walks of life and professions. The counselors helped me understand my addictive behavior and gave me tools to overcome them. I would say if you're struggling with any addiction go to Kolmac, they're the real deal but it'll be up to you to put their insights and expertise to work for you.
