Came here with my boyfriend for a couples massage. Greeted by Thai and an Eastern European lady…read morethat made me immediately feel uncomfortable as she kept eyeing my bf. The "waiting chair" was right outside the people getting a massage(just a super thin curtain) so was strange all the sounds in one big room. Not relaxing and bit awkward. I nearly left the place because I had a bad feeling....I've had dozens of Thai massages, in Thailand, so can gauge a place pretty well. The masseur was nice enough but I was not comfortable the entire time. Not enough pressure and just not well-practiced. She had a smokers cough and smelled like cigs which was another pet peeve. This place is as dodgy as the exterior. 1200kr down the drain......

If possible, I would give Bangkok Thai Spa 3,5 stars, however that is not possible and today I woke…read moreup on the wrong foot and rounded down to 3 stars. I only recently introduced to Thai massage, so I do not consider myself an expert in any ways. However, at this point in my life, I do feel comfortable commenting on service and an over all experience. Bangkok Thai Spa, has a neat location, just a short walk from Youngstorget, It is easy to spot, and gives and immediate senesce of professionally on the exterior part. Once inside, you get a mixed signal. The place looks clean, and is big with 8-10 beds, all separated with pleasant colored curtains. Four people was just sitting around chatting with each other when I walked in around 3PM on a Wednesday. I was immediately approached and the lady asked me what kind of massage I wanted, and before I managed to answer she already told me what kind of massage I was getting. I tried asking about what the differences between them was, (they have a list, ranging in price from 600-800 for 1hour, which is not to bad in Oslo), but she sort of blew me off. A little confused I payed to another lady, and a third one showed me into one of the middle compartments. So far so good, my problem is not that someone chose my massage for me, but that she was not able to answer my question. But this is where things get slightly strange. I am very used to people leaving the room while you change, however my massage therapist staid in the room. It really does not bother me, however, when changing I did realize all the curtains was see through, and the personal and other guests walking in and sitting outside can see me. This was uncomfortable. The oil massage which I was getting was pretty good. My therapist was gentle and kept asking if I was ok. Personally this probably not my favorite type of massage, it is just a lot of flat hand rubbing with oil and not enough pressure. That being said, it really helps with circulation and you do feel better and relaxed while doing it. Or at least you would be able to relax more if the curtains where not see through and you could hear the employees chatting on the other side. I am conflicted about Bangkok Thai Spa because I really really want to like it, but it was a very strange experience. I do believe that they do excellent massages but this is not a place to go if you are shy!

The Well is by far the best spa experience I have ever had. We ended up spending about 5 hours…read morethere. Multiple sauna rooms. I did 2 sauna rituals, that were really amazing. The first one was performed by a Russian girl and the second one by a Finnish lady. The music was very upbeat and they both did sort of a dance with a towel. I truly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone that visits Oslo. Definitely the highlight of my trip. I also had a juice that hit the spot. Carrots and ginger.

I have been to heaven, it's called The Well! It's a very special place. No spa or wellness clinic world wide can compare to the sophistication, beauty, professionalism and expertise by the staff and the entire resort. The Well has set the bar so high, I am uncertain it can be topped by any other spa or resort. It's super clean, beautiful and the spa treatments, sauna's, steam baths and hot tubs make you feel like you are experiencing either an out of body experience or in a dream. We spent two weeks traveling from the north cape, all along the coast of Norway, and our visit to The Well was our best experience and made our trip worthwhile. We had two full days of sightseeing in Oslo and choose to trash those plans and spend the entire time at The Well. Our room was clean and queen size bed was very comfortable. Shower was better than any hotel we visited along our two week trip. We dined at the Brasserie restaurant and food/service was the best we experienced along our two week trip. The food and dishes at the Brasserie were better than most Michelin five star restaurants we have ever dined. Even the bar tenders were awesome, drinks were delicious and unique and they were knowledgeable about everything Norwegian. We were their two day and spent every single minute from 8am to 22pm in the spa. Approximately 75-80% of the people there we in Well Swim wear and the other 25-10% were natural. If we lived in Norway, we would be regulars! In my opinion, The Well should be designated a Norwegian national treasure. If I could rate them 100 stars, I certainly would.
