Quick to offer an appointment for dermatology ($) for the next day. Quick exam for severe psoriasis. Referral to MUHC (they haven't still given me any sign) and a battery of creams which helped me survive, just survive, for the last 6 months. The Dr. failed to recommend phototherapy or oral treatment, nor a follow up to see if the creams had worked. I have recently had an appointment at a very modest neighborhood clinic (elsewhere in the city) where a biopsy, phototherapy and oral treatment were just suggested and carried out all at once. read more

Dr Gadheri takes a very long time to see her patients. You will wait for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to see her, minimum. I don't understand why they even bother to make appointments earlier, it is ridiculous. There is an Argentinian doctor here that is way more efficient. Also, there is no parking, so you may have to park far away on top of it. It feels like she doesn't care about her patients and does this just for the money.... Very sad! read more

I've been here on 2 occasions now. The first red flag should have been that I found this place via a "facebook ad". If they were any good they would have success just by word of mouth alone ;) The first visit was for a pediatrician for my son. We had an APPOINTMENT and had to wait in 3 separate waiting areas after we arrived ON TIME for our appointment before we even saw a dr!! First, we waited in the general wait area after signing in, next someone calls us and then we have to wait again for the nurse. Next, after we saw the nurse, we had to wait again to see the doctor! 3 separate waiting areas with an overall wait of over an hour! The dr visit itself was really basic and impersonal. I was recommended to send my son to a specific daycare and I visited the daycare just out of curiosity and it was a rundown building downtown. No tips for his age range were given to me in a printout or anything to keep handy. I didn't feel like it was a quality visit. On the second visit here, I had an appointment for a family doctor for myself. The visit was just for a routine checkup. Anyway, after waiting 2 months for my appointment at 10am, I arrive at 9:50am and had to manually fill out a bunch of redundant information they already had on file. Next, I waited in the main waiting room, then they called me to see a nurse. The nurse put a blood pressure cuff on my arm and was asking me health questions WHILE the machine was taking my blood pressure! Then, she told me to take it off my arm myself and she ushered me to another waiting room. No comment about the blood pressure or any feedback about anything. My blood pressure values were very unusual (probably because I was talking) and she just shrugged and said "it's fine" only after I inquired. She seemed to have zero health knowledge. She ushered me out of the room and I waited for 45 minutes before walking out of the waiting area! I finally went back to see the nurse to ask about the wait times and she was texting on her phone (probably why she was rushing me out of her office so quickly) and she informed me there were still 2 people ahead of me! Of course, I just walked out of this "clinic" and don't intend on ever coming back. So, that would be a total of 1.5 hour wait after arriving on time for my appointment on top of a 2 month wait for the appointment. Also, the parking on the street is expensive and very inconvenient due to it being on a busy street with hard to find spots! I also met a woman in the waitroom who said they have greatly expanded compared to years ago. It seems like they are filling up the place as fast as possible with mediocre doctors and nurses and fancy decor and then advertising like crazy to get customers. The kicker... the magazines they have lying around are from 1995! I should have taken some pics as I couldn't believe my eyes. Can't even afford a magazine from this century! read more

Having been at the clinic only once so far, to see a Gastroenterologist. I must say my experience has been absolutely wonderful! During a previous appointment, the receptionist was unkind and the waiting time was of 90 minutes. Fast forward to three months later. The staff, and the clinic has improved a great deal! Kinder staff, waiting time of 20 minutes at the most. The consults last 30-40 minutes. They now call 24hrs in advance to remind you of your appointment. Because of all these wonderful changes. I highly recommend this clinic to those seeking a family doctor or a specialist. Do keep in mind. A referral is a MUST! As of today, they are taking new patients. Including for a family doctor and many other specialists. Eg; Gastroenterologist. Like many other public clinics, there is a waiting list. Not as long as many other clinics. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Ghaderi for 3 years now at Clinic Medicelle and could not be happier. I truly have never waited in the seating area for more than 5 minutes (so stop crying people in the comments below because it's not true and if you got held up on a particular day, it's certainly not typical). The staff are courteous, caring and professional. Most importantly Dr. Ghederi is a top notch physician. Don't go in her office thinking she's going to romance you with girl talk and ask you where you got your nails done. She's not that kind of doctor and I'm glad. She's extremely intelligent and has helped me with a myriad of problems from lack of energy, severe sinus infections to depression and anxiety. If you need access to specialized care she'll refer you in a split second. With her help I have taken my health back. I owe it all to Dr. Ghaderi and Clinic Medicelle. read more

The receptionist says all appointments are by phone because of Covid-19. For 3pm téléphone appointment , Dr. S.R. calls me at 4:55 pm (5 minutes before the clinic closes ), and her very first words were What is your problem? in an aggressive tone. Not kidding-- not Hello, not I'm sorry for being late. Then, she said she had to take a call. I could hear her private conversation very well, while " on hold,  " seemingly sounding agressive to who seemed to be a family member. And then she complained to me about the receptionist ( for assigning my child to her and for giving out false information that there are only telephone appointments.) Maybe she was having a rough day, but she should still behave professionally. What kind of doctor starts the conversation with what is your problem? I go to Clinic Elle because the my son's doctor ( not Dr. R) is there. She is nice, but she works part-time, and sometimes it's not possible to get timely appointments. Like most other clinics in Montreal, yes, the receptionists are often rude and the waiting time is crazy (expect about 2 hours-- bring a book or two). read more

I'm torn in this one... First off, it's a doctors office that is taking people... (How sad is it that we've set the bar that low?) And almost everyone I've met there is very friendly... That's the end of the good list though. The three ways I rate the quality of a doctor are: 1) skill (do they help me?) 2) effiency 3) cost I'd start with 1, but I've been going here over a year now with nothing really to show for it. So onto 2...where to start? The wait times here are insane. I showed up for a 2 appointment and there were *six* people ahead of me waiting for the same doctor... And then there's the cost... Microfees for almost everything you can think of, to insane levels. I guess it depends on what value you place on your time and money. read more

Great clinic. Many excellent doctors, a caring staff and truly committed owners/operators. Also, don't let the name throw you -- they treat everyone (men, women, children). And if no one's taking new patients, get on someone's list and just wait. It's totally worth it. Also, I highly recommend the Bloc plan (I forget the official name), which costs $75/year (which you can then spend on tests/labs/accelerated results, etc., not covered by RAMQ) and allows you to communicate w/ your doctor or the clinic via email (24hr turnaround), get (free) doctor's notes and a whole bunch of other great perks that I'm spacing on in this precise moment. I feel I've gotten my money's worth, and I plan to renew this summer. I disagree with the reviewer who complained about wait times. If you've spent five hours waiting around to be seen (even when you have an appointment) at your local CLSC or hospital, you'll feel like you stumbled into an oasis at Medic Elle. There, you don't wait unless it's an especially crazy day, and even then it's not v long. The longest I've waited was maybe 45 minutes, and that was when I didn't actually have an appointment but was squeezed in because I emailed them the night before with a flu. Most times, you get seen right away, and the doctors are all quite punctual. I also disagree with the previous reviewer about the "microfees." You do have to pay for accelerated results and certain blood tests, but that's if you insist on having them done there, at the clinic, and want your results stat. If you're broke like me, you can just take your referral and go get your tests at the local hospital (where you have to wait a few weeks for results) like usual. But if you're feeling especially anxious about a test result, and have a few extra bucks that month, you can take advantage of instant testing and fast results. And like I said, if you come down with something last minute and no one's available, the clinic staff is great at finding you a spot somehow. Bottom line, this is the first place I've felt truly cared for as a patient. My sister and sister-in-law go here as well and love it, and as soon as my husband gets his RAMQ card (he's new to Canada), I'm bringing him here, too. read more

Clinic is great! Very organized, no excessive waiting, friendly staff. I have been there with my daughter several times at different doctors that were competent and friendly. Only deception was the family doctor Dr. Elgendy to whom I went for a checkup appointment. She did not show any interest in properly reviewing my health and I had to insist in order to get proper information and referrals. I definitely won't go back to her. read more

Was referred by my GP to dermatologist there. Waited 35 minutes on phone to make appointment. Was sent 3 emails to fill out form for new patients.......got a reminder call for appointment day before. Never once did they tell me to bring the physical paper with referral. Drove downtown, paid for parking.......then at front desk was asked for paper !!! One girl was sweet and suggested I call my Dr. to see if they could fax over.....other girl was so rude and abrupt. My Dr. was unfortunately not in her office to fax.......... they never even tried to help me find a solution to problem so I left. Just as other reviews say, perhaps the Dr's. are good but I sure won't be going back with the front line attitude. read more

Anyone else having trouble reaching the clinic lately? I've been a patient for about 2 years now and I've now gotten left on hold for upwards of 10 minutes three or four different times without ever reaching the receptionist. In one instance I was on hold for 15 minutes and then the call just cut off. and this was just trying to reach someone to book an appointment. read more

Some of the nurses were fantastic. The pediatrician we were assigned to was also fantastic. We thought, as a clinic, if our Pediatrician was unavailable when we needed him, we would be seen by another medical professional with the same standard of care. This was not the case. We needed to see two other Doctors on two separate occasions and both were rude, despondent, impersonal and lacked communication. Also, the "do you have insurance" question before ordering tests were off putting. There was definitely a feeling of fees over clients at this Clinique. read more

My experience at this clinic was very disappointing and not very customer friendly. I would not recommend the laser treatment services or the clinic, as the technician not only seemed distracted, but also rushed through the procedure, resulting in a rather incomplete treatment. Instead of properly completing the treatment to fix the problem, I was only offered a minimal deduction on my next treatment. read more

Dr. Nagi is arrogant and condescending and his assistant Christina is incompetent at least when it comes to administrative duties. I tried for months to get a simple RAMQ reimbursement form from the clinic for a visit my husband had to pay for when he was insured, but before he had received his insurance card in the mail. After at least 5 calls to the clinic, I was told by Christina it was in her office ready to be picked up, yet when I arrived, it had not been signed and she wasn't in, even though she had told me she would be. I subsequently made several more calls, (and was pleased with the assistance I got from the women answering these calls, especially Corinne), eventually to be told that my husband now had to make an appointment with Dr. Nagi in order for him to fill out the RAMQ form (even though I had been previously told by Christina, that no, my husband did not need to be present to get the form). I can only imagine how much that visit would cost - to fill out a form I was told by a RAMQ official would only take 2 minutes to complete - plus it actually does not even need to be filled out by the doctor. You can rest assured I will be making a formal complaint to the Collège des médecins du Québec and no way are we ever going near this clinic again. read more
