Shop is good and the stylists are top notch. My only issue is the music played when kids are present. I'm talking 5 and 7 year olds. As typical with this type of shop hip hop and rap are part of the culture. But when the music that is being played has the F word, N word, bitches and ho's, sex acts and such it's inappropriate. As a business it's highly unprofessional. I'm good with my teen hearing it but not younger kids. So if you have kids I say stay away. Shop could care less about what the kids hear. They take way too long to make a simple haircut that shouldn't only take about 35 min tops. Haircute was ok missed, he missed few spots and didn't even clean the hair out of my ears or off my forehead even after I was seating on the chair for more than an hour. I won't return! The moment I walked in I was handed a beer, took a sip and was on the Mike's (Loti) barber chair. Told him what I wanted and he hooked it up. Best beard trim and haircut I've had in a long time. One spontaneous holiday afternoon I decided to call Clipperhead because my dear friend wanted a special haircut to honor her sister who is beginning chemotherapy this week. I booked with Loti, who I highly recommend, he listened to what I wanted and made suggestions based on my hair (getting a little older, hair is starting to thin). Loti was very meticulous and took his time to make sure everything was the right length and looked right. He even recommended products for my hair to make it look fuller. The nape shave at the end was also pretty d*mn amazing, that warm foam made me want to fall asleep. "Uncle" Jesse (my long lost, hair conscious uncle, from San Francisco) is a great listener and gave me a sweet razor fade exactly how I asked. If I lived here this would be the only place I'd get my hair cut. I was visiting San Antonio and in need of a good haircut for an upcoming professional photo-shoot. Like most guys (even though they may not want to admit it), I'm very particular about how my hair looks and reluctant to just let anyone go to work on it. After doing some research on barbershops around all of SA, I decided on this place. They are located in a small strip of businesses, not visible from the road. Unlike most reputable barber shops they are actually open Mondays. They have an online scheduling system through the Booksy appointment site, but also allow walk-ins. Note: their online booking prices are $5-10 higher than their walk-in rates for normal haircuts, but was told that during peak hours walk-ins are almost impossible though. I did walk-in since I figured there wouldn't be many, if any people on a Monday at 9am. The shop has a very modern feel to it. There is San Antonio paintings/art all around the shop, hip hop/urban music playing, and they have local beer in the shop. Andrea greeted me and cut my hair. She asked me what I wanted and went to work. When she was done (about 30min total since I was getting just my sides cleaned up) she gave me the mirror. I was impressed; haircut exactly as expected. It seems like the other barbers that were cutting hair were giving good cuts as well from what I could tell. My first experience with this barbershop was Great. I will be sure to visit Clipperhead whenever I'm in need of a haircut again in San Antonio. They are now closed on Sundays/Tuesdays though. Of course I was nervous because i never used this barber shop before, my son was an almost 3 year old at the time, which was nerve wracking by itself.
