Came in today because i had a Groupon and was very pleased. It was okay a 30 minute drive from philly. A hidden gem of a salon that does everything. I entered with my party of 3 to get bikini waxes cause we all had groupons. Candace was very friendly and the roim made you feel relaxed and comfortable. This was my first time getting a wax of this kind and Candace made you feel so comfortable and explained what would be done. There was really relaxing music playing and i felt my nerves calming down as i went through the appointment. Candace made it better because she talked alot and had my mind off of the pain i felt. She also suggested a numbing spray since i was saying im new to it and i was nervous. The spray actually helped mask some of the pain and i was happy about that. Candace made sure to check and recheck to make sure i was happy with the wax. I will be coming back because she did an amazing wax job that felt painless conpared to what i expected it to be like. I also love the fact that even though my groupon was expired.... They still honored the price i paid and gave me the discount. I stopped here over the weekend for a waxing appt. I found this place on Groupon and decided to check them out. All of the ladies there were super friendly and made us feel at home. They brought over an extra chair so our group could sit together and offered to hang up our coats. They also made small talk with us while we waiting our turn with the technician. The massage was terrific. Usually, female therapists don't apply enough pressure, but this one did. Her hands and arms were strong, and her strokes sure and highly therapeutic. I purchased my non refundable Groupon for a wax and when i showed up they turned me away. Their cancelation policy should have been waived, and they did not work with me. If the waxing expert is scared they will get wax on a child, in a stroller, in the corner of the room i would be scared for everyone's safety. read more

I had a wax session with Candace. I went to many places in the past for a Brazilian wax. I think I can honestly say it was the best Brazilian Wax I ever had! Candace made me feel very comfortable throughout the session. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the lack of parking on the street. My daughter went there for her first Brazilian wax. What should have taken 15 minutes took over an HOUR!! She said it was the worse experience ever! They had a new employee with very little experience in waxing give her her first wax!! Another lady had to complete the job!! As a longtime customer; can't say enough about this Salon. The salon just recently moved (and remodeled) to a new space directly next door and although it still needs some finishing touches, it looks wonderful. All the services are now on the first floor. I went to this salon for the first time today for a massage and facial. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in, and the staff was super friendly throughout my entire visit. The service rooms are very small but nicely decorated. Each room has a beautiful dandelion puff chandelier. My massage was very nice, and lasted the full hour. The masseuse was very sweet, and the hand massage was lovely, but the foot massage could have been a little longer. I felt relaxed and refreshed afterwards. The robe I was given had a few holes in it, but it was clean and comfy. My facial was excellent, and even included an amazing arm and hand massage. The heated gloves were a nice touch. The aesthetician was very nice, and well versed in the products she was using. My one and only complaint, and it's very small, is that there was a grainy residue on my face when I left, which I didn't notice until I got in my car. I wiped it off, which made a bit of a mess in my lap, but again, it was not a big deal. I purchased the massage/facial combo on Living Social for $55. I DEFINITELY got my money's worth. read more

My cousin and I went to Clique yesterday after purchasing a living social deal for massages and facials. We're both about 8 1/2 months pregnant, so we were really looking forward to a day of pampering. Clique totally exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere of the spa is very tranquil and you immediately feel relaxed. Everyone was SO accommodating and really sweet. They made us feel so special! The facials were amazing....very gentle and rejuvenating! The massages were great too and really helped with the lower back soreness I've had. We'll definitely be coming back to Clique and can't wait for another amazing, relaxing day at the spa. Did I mention that the watermelon and sorbet were beyond words?! I discovered Clique Salon through Groupon. I purchased a wax session and had the appointment yesterday. Although I had to reschedule the appointment twice, the person on the phone was always very kind about it and gave me no trouble at all. The appointment was at 10 a.m. and I arrived 10 minutes early. I was greeted warmly and waited for a couple of minutes before I was greeted by the esthetician. The esthetician was sweet and made the session comfortable for me. The session took place in a small room, in the middle of the salon. It was a little cramp, but it didn't bother me too much. I wouldn't mind coming back here and would recommend a friend. I had no trouble finding parking on the street since it was in the morning but may be a bit difficult to find parking space later in the day. read more

This review about service I received at the Clique Salon & Spa in Burlington, NJ in February 2019. I have been going to Aveda salons for a number of years and have never been disappointed until I visited Clique Salon & Spa. The haircut I received was great, probably the best one I have received in while, so this review is not in regards to my stylist. This review is in regards to the salon not being up to the Aveda standards that I expected. When I go to an Aveda salon, I expect, based on all of my previous experiences and by the Aveda website, that the minute I walk in to the salon from the minute I leave, I will be relaxed and pampered. According to the main Aveda website, this salon in particular should be offering Sensory Rituals which means "Performs complimentary sensory rituals - these locations consistently deliver the Aveda guest service experience by providing complimentary comforting tea, stress relieving rituals, aroma sensory journey and product recommendations." This was not the case at this salon. The outside of the salon looked promising, however not the inside. Although I was welcomed by the receptionist, that was it. The salon was very small, crowded and cramped and did not smell nice (like Aveda products). I was not offered anything to drink but was offered to sit down in the few chairs they had in their tiny 'waiting area', while I waited for my stylist. The seats are only a few feet from other clients while they are being worked on. Where I sat, I was right in front of a little girl who was crying while she was getting her hair brushed out. The salon was very noisy too. While waiting, I was looking around, I did see a small sign indicating they do not accept tips on credit cards, this would have been nice to know when I booked the appointment as I normally do not carry any cash. I did not see a single cosmetology license on the wall, the only product available for purchase that I saw was a small display on the front counter. Each stylists station was crowded and messy, and they had products other than Aveda being used. There was heavy dust on the decorations above eye level. When my stylist was ready for me, she immediately brought me back to a wash bowl and washed my hair. She did not provide me a cape at that time either. During the wash, she gave what seemed like a small scalp massage, but wasn't anything special. After she washed my hair, I was brought to her station and finally given a cape, and she asked what I wanted done. Her station was so cramped that she had to turn me a certain way in order for her hair dryer to reach. When I was sitting in the chair I was still looking around, and saw more dust on places, food on the floor behind the receptionists' desk, etc. For my next appointment I will be searching for a true Aveda salon. read more

This spa is amazing! At first you have no idea it can be one of the most relaxing places on earth because of the hair salon on the first floor, but the upstairs is very calm and soothing. My positive experience started even before going to the spa. When I called to make an appointment, the person who answered the phone was very nice and accommodating. They were even willing to make an appointment for 2 on New Year's Eve. When we walked in, we were greeted like life long friends (which is better than family). We were welcomed and introduced to the owner (I presume) and our specialists. The owner is VERY friendly and understanding. She is the best-- and I am saying this without knowing her prior to my experience here. She is doing this business out of pure passion and joy. When it was time for our massage and facials, we were given nice robes and slippers to change into. We were offered hot cup of soothing tea and fruit. While we were waiting they offered to have us be in the sauna which was a very relaxing experience. Our facial was done by a very nice lady who, prior to our treatment, talked to us to understand our needs. The entire experience left me wanting more! This place is a model business and should be taught in schools as an example on how to run your business. read more

No where to park you have to find a spot on the street. Address is wrong It's 218 not 220 high street. staff seems fake acted un professional. I was not given a robe to change into unlike another lady I saw sitting back or other customers have mentioned in their reviews. The room was ice cold and you could hear the loud staff "partying" through the wall so you can't relax because its not quiet at all. It's very loud because it's a hair salon and they just make you go in a tiny room in the back of the salon for your "massage" I guess they must have another area upstairs however I was not taken upstairs I went in a tiny room downstairs. The bed sheet was paper thin completely see thru with little curly black hairs all Over them definitely dirty and or not washed properly. And if your a female ask for a women because the man I went to started rubbing my outer vagina! My bare ass! In between my butt crack and rubbed his hard on against me and the "massage" was horrible I don't even think these are real licensed massage therapist. Reading some of these reviews are hysterical and far fetched at best. This is my second time visiting this salon. The staff are so friendly and warm the second you walk in. I've been upstairs in the spa area and downstairs in the tinier rooms. NEVER ONCE have I been treated disrespectfully or touched inappropriately. I had a woman this time but a man the last time and both were wonderful massages. I had sun burn on my shoulder and Kiki was nice enough to not be rough on that area. She even added tea tree oil to help it heal a little quicker. You need to speak up and tell her where you want her to work and what kind of pressure and she delivers. She was excellent and I'd go see her again. I also did a facial with Candace. Once again it was wonderful. She was friendly and talked with you, gave you information on your skin and suggested products that I was asking about. She was so good and the facial made you feel so relaxed and at peace! My face has been glowing for a week! It was one of the best I had. Be cautious about other reviews on here. They couldn't be more off or exaggerated. You'll love this place. It's in a cute part of Burlington with a ton of parking. If you don't feel comfortable parking on the street (it's free) then there's a parking lot right down the street. It's a safe area with a ton of people walking up and down the street. Yes the place is little and yes it's also a hair salon (GASP!) but it's adorable, clean and quiet when you are getting your service done. No one is screaming or complaining and there's no "partying" going on since it's an established business. The owner wouldn't allow that kind of crap to go on. read more

Sat there for 50 minutes and when the massage therapist finally showed up she said well I wasn't prepared for you but you can come back now. So this place was a little farther than I expected. I had an appointment for a massage and a facial last month. I had no problems finding parking on the street and I came in to a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and was greeted very warmly. Everyone there was super nice. I was not asked on the preference of my masseuse and it was a guy. It doesn't matter to me so that was fine because I usually like a firmer touch. The rooms are small but very nicely decorated, cool lighting, and the beds are heated. This is where I run into the negatives, even with the heated bed I was pretty chilly in the room and the sheet is so thin it might as well be nonexistent. They need different sheets. There was another blanket over the sheet but the massage therapist took that blanket off when he began. The massage was just ok. I didn't feel like he put enough pressure and having a sheet that thin made me uncomfortable. The facial was done in another room and that was better. The lady I think her name was Candice that did my facial was really nice. We didn't really go over products though and she didn't tell me about the products that she was using. I was more comfortable and relaxed during this since she kept the blanket on over the sheet and did the moisturizing warming mitt thing, which was very nice. The facial wasn't bad and the brushing on of some of the products felt nice but when she was done I still felt like there was grainy residue left over especially around my hairline. Overall, It wasn't a terrible experience but due to it not being close enough for convenience and mediocre services I probably won't be back. read more

My appt was at 11 but no one came out to get me until 10 min late and the massage was 45 minutes as well as the facial which are both advertised as one hour. Also, there were little balls of curly hair on the bed in the massage room making me think it wasn't clean. The facial was really good and she seemed really nice. If it weren't for her I would not have this high (I know 3 stars) of a review. read more

Not even a spa at all... I would hardly call this a spa. It's more like a tiny little salon with a make shift closet like area with two small rooms that is called a spa. The massage room walls were paper thin so you could here all the noise and bangarang from the salon. There was no organization and the therapist did not even bother to read the information card on you which clearly states any medical issues!!! The massage itself was subpar at best. The guy had no idea what he was doing and seemed to have no experience at all. Extreme waste of money! I will never return even if it was free! I can't believe all the other reviews for this place are so positive. I had an extremely negative experience and would never recommend this place to anyone. I went for a massage, facial, mani and pedi. Let me start with what went well. The facial was relaxing, but I don't feel she really got in there like some facials I have had before. The girl doing my nails didn't trim them at all, then she filed them unevenly. I requested a vinyl polish, which the girl assured me would like "like forever." She had clearly never used gel polish before and she had to paint my nails twice before getting it "right". I say "right" because there was still polish on my skin and she hadn't painted my entire nail on several nails. The pedicure was adequate but again, my nails werent trimmed first and the chair they were using was so oversized I couldnt lean against the back comfortably while my feet were being done (and I am tall). Last but not least - the massage. I think he spent about 5 minutes of 60 on my neck and back (where I had some obvious tension and knots). The draping was not at all modest and made me feel uncomfortable. Without asking first, the therapist (a man) massaged very high up on my inner thighs and my gluts, to the point that he pushed my underwear out of the way. I was so greasy when it was over that I used paper napkins to try to wipe myself off before leaving. The owner seems absolutely lovely and I understand she's trying to branch out but the services I paid for were mediocre at best and she needs to find people who really know what they are doing. I am female. I've had maybe 7 spa massages previously, so not a newbie. At Clique,I had my first by a male therapist. As I have always done for massages, I left my "bikini brief" style undies on. That is MY COMFORT LEVEL. When I flipped to my belly, the male therapist, w/o asking, abruptly yanked my underwear up into my rear end crack, essentially turning them into a "thong" and aggressively massaged my rear end. I am still shocked that I remained silent during this!!! It made me very tense and uncomfortable. On this day I had a thin pad on but what if I had been menstruating heavily and had a thick pad in my undies? I have never had any therapist disrespect my choice to leave my panties on and expose an area that I had obviously chosen to be kept covered. Previous to the massage, I had explained to the therapist that my neck/shoulders/mid back were the areas I wished him to focus on, so it wasn't as if he were addressing a problem I had asked him to work on. In fact, he ignored my request and, just as he had on my friend before me, he spent the most time massaging my upper legs (including way high up on my inner thighs) and buttocks. My friend and I both had the same reaction to this therapist. She also had never before had a therapist act this way! Other "cons" to this facility: Noise and hair chemical smells from the hair salon travel up the staircase to the common area of the "spa". Both my robe and that of my friend had tattered sleeves and each had 2" hole (mine on the sleeve, her's on the side) My massage finished 10 mins earlier than the 1hr I paid for. Water only is offered. Coffee and tea are available.... at an extra charge! Really? I saw a bowl of apples that looked like they'd been sitting there a week. Didn't even know if they were for eating bc they were dusty so I thought they were decoration. Previous spa experiences at other facilities had included little plates to serve yourself healthy snack choices (nuts, fruit, granola, etc) and a variety of teas and juices. Never again! read more

First, the good. I went for a massage, and the owner was very welcoming when I arrived. I felt like family. The salon section has a beautiful look, and everyone seemed happy. I was taken to my massage right away by Alexander, my masseuse. Unfortunately, I had a very uncomfortable experience from then on. I told Alexander that I wanted him to work on my back/neck/shoulder area and my calves, but mostly the former. I don't know if he just didn't listen, or if he didn't understand what I wanted, but he ended up going for full body. He started me on my back, and started working on my legs. Usually, my upper legs are very sensitive, which is why I don't get them massaged, but what he was doing actually felt great, so I decided, what the heck, let's just go with it. Then it got awkward. I do not wear underwear for massages so that my masseuse can get into my glute area when I'm on my front. Alexander went so far up my thighs that he actually went under the sheet and touched the outside of my privates. Thinking it was unintentional, I just ignored it, but it ended up happening multiple times. I have had many massages in my life and never has anyone, male or female, touched within 4 or 5 inches of that area. The sheet itself was draped so high that it barely covered more than a bikini. And when I had to flip over to my front, he lifted the sheet and told me to turn towards him instead of away from him, which seemed odd. The rest of the massage was very good, but I just felt like so many things that happened were unprofessional, whether they were intentional or not. I was so shocked about everything that happened that I just went with it and figured I'd talk to the owner so that this doesn't happen to someone else. I called a few days later and said a few things to the girl at the desk, but the owner never called me back to talk about it in depth.
