Just like the TV advert very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Today I called into Curry's to get some help on setting up my ( Magic Remote) unfortunately Sam was not working. I enquired at the service desk and was pointed to a young lady who was by the TV section. She was very pleasant but unfortunately did not have the information I required. She then took me to the Vision Manager, who was the person who had sent me to her in the first place. She explained the problem I had. To be perfectly honest. He was the complete opposite to the help and service I received from Sam, and the service I received from the Young lady who was trying to help. He did not want to get involved at all. The variety of products is average, but not bad. An very annoying thing is that the alarms on the laptops go off very often making a loud and irritating noise, ruining the shopping experience. Also the some of the staff hasn't got the appropriate knowledge that you would expect form a person that works in a shop that sells electronics - one of the ladies didn't know what a tablet is. When you walk in it is usually easy to find what your looking for as they have specially marked out areas, computing, sat nav, TV, music, power, tools and home and car. If you wonder around like a lost sheep for a bit someone will come upto you asking what your looking for and are ver helpful. They also have a technical help department at the back of the store. They sell allsorts of components as well like resistors and capacitors and various elctrical wires near the technical help section. Prices are very reasonable.

I have been a Grattans customer for many years. They are a mail order company and send out…read morecatalogues to their customers, where you can browse the wide selection of clothing, toys, furniture, electrical goods etc. They sell just about everything. They offer free delivery and free returns, and you can spread your payments. You can order over the telephone, or online on their website. The website is good because it tells you straight away if an item is in stock or not. I've always found the staff to be really helpful, but I prefer to order online as they have started using an 0871 number for telephone calls, and I resent paying extra! I think Grattans are basically the same company as Freemans, although I didn't know this when I applied for both catalogues! Mind you, it does often seem like Grattans have different items in the sale to those offered by Freemans, so I sometimes think it's worth having both! You also get a little bit of your money back. Every time you make a payment to your account, you get a percentage into your 'commission' pot, which you can then use against future orders, or have the money applied to your account to pay off what you already owe. On some items you do pay more when buying from a catalogue than if you went to the High Street, but you do need to consider the convenience of the catalogue,and the fact that you can spread your payments interest free. Overall, I would recommend using Grattans. Good products and great service.
